Went here with my large Italian family which they accommodated very well ( about 15 of us with separate checks) I had the poutine it was so good i ate the whole thing and wanted more. read more

Just had lunch at the S.A.B. I ordered the Angus Smash burger. Although it didn't have that nice crispy crust on the burger like I like, it was absolutely delicious anyway. The burger was juicy and the meat was so tender. The aioli sauce was full of flavor and went well with the arugula that topped the burger. The fries that came with the sandwich were FABULOUS. Crispy with a light seasoning on the outside and light and soft on the inside and piping hot. I left full and satisfied. Are waitress Samantha was a gem. Attentive but no too much in our face. She let us be to enjoy our food and visited just enough to keep the drinks filled and to "check-in". This place will be revisited soon to enjoy the patio once it warms up. read more

The food is always delicious yummy atmosphere great the servers are very friendly and helpful and the prices are worth with the quality of the food and drinks we introduced our friends to the Schnitzel haus and when they come to Parma that is their go too restaurant read more

Had our fantasy football draft there and our server Sierra was great! She was on top of everyone's orders and the food was fantastic!! She even made sure everybody got connected to the wi-fi, so nobody had an issue drafting. With how well she took care of us, the wi-fi password should be "Sierra'sAmazing" We will definitely be having our get togethers at your restaurant again in the future. Thank you for the great night! read more

Love this place for most everything from service, atmosphere, and food with one specific exception, the chicken wings. In this instance, the full joint was no available which isn't a big issue but the prep is not especially good. They are smoked but then deep fried to an extent that it's very dry. Suggest the restaurant consider doing a grill finish instead of frying as I have seen this to be a much better method. read more

Have never been here before. My friends and I had a fantastic meal. We had the chips and tortillas with chili and buffalo dip for an app. I ordered a margarita which was perfect. My friends had a pilsner and a white wine and they enjoyed them. Entrees were beef stroganoff, the club sandwich and the smoked meatloaf. Our server, Maria, was great. Portions are huge! We all had to go boxes. This is a nice neighborhood place. read more

Nice bar-restaurant. Interior looks very nice with good wood working and a handsome bar. It's across the street from Das Schnitzel Haus which I assume is the owner or at least affiliated with this place. They brew their own beer and have plenty of guest beers. During the baseball game I tried a couple of their beers. The weizenbock was excellent and the Keller Pils was good. I ordered a brat sandwich with came with fries though I switched to German potato salad, which was great. The bratwurst was delicious, juicy and flavorful. The bartender had a good-sized crowd but handled everything with good cheer. I will definitely return when in the area. read more

I went with a group of 6 on a weekday evening. Overall, this place was just okay. My biggest complaint is about the service. The place was nearly empty and it felt like nobody wanted to help us at all. When we were served our food, nobody provided us with silverware... we were nice and waited, well over five minutes for a server to reappear from outside or the kitchen with no luck, so someone from our table had to walk into the kitchen and ask for help... even still it took a few minutes before the issue was addressed. For before the only table that seemed to order food... it took a long time to get silverware. There was also well over 5 servers walking around. The food itself was okay... nothing to write home about. We got a macaroni and cheese inspired dish that I felt was over salted -- otherwise I would have really liked it. Not sure I would come back, but the interior decor is cool. read more

Love the atmosphere at Schnitz Ale! Lots of space. Lots of attention to detail. Our server was tremendous! I had grilled cheese & tomato soup; my favorite combo. The soup was nice & earthy. I really enjoyed it. The sandwich was nothing special. Felt more like a big crouton for the soup, but I was good with that. Hubby got the smoked wings. Tried a bite. Wow! Those were really tasty! Could definitely taste the smoke, but it was not overpowering. I had their Dunkel. It was fine, nothing to write home about. And glad I only asked for a taste of the rauchbier. Wasn't a big fan of that either. Didn't mind about the beverages. We had great service and great food all within an hour. For this hockey family that finds itself at Barons rink many nights a week, this is a 1,000x better option than IceHouse. Hallelujah! read more

This place offers an amazing setting to enjoy equally amazing beer. Service is always friendly. Many choices of mainly German styles beers, but with some IPA's as well. The food is great, though the portions might disappoint you. It's been good my last few visits, though, so my worst experience might've been a one time thing This place is absolutely beautiful inside with its staircase and chandelier. A must visit. Parma finally has its own destination brewery! read more

What a nice pleasant surprise in Parma! My husband and I have been wanting to stop by for a while and can't wait to go back. This place was great for couple, large groups, and families! The menu was unique and the whole wings were soooo delicious! We can't wait to go back and try more menu items. read more

This place is cool. The atmosphere is very neat. The stage is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and the beers. I got a flight and they were all very good. We got the pretzel and pork belly appetizers because we weren't that hungry and they were both amazing and we left feeling completely comfortable, not over stuffed. read more

Great beer and service! We've been here several times and always recommend it to friends.

First time visiting this newer brewery. The place is very nice, beautiful stairway and chandelier, nice atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. I tried a beer flight, which was great and we'll priced. We had a watermelon mojito which tasted good but, could not taste any alcohol at all and it was $10 a glass. The reason for only a 2 star is for the food. Granted it was only the first time there and only 3 menu items were tried so, that's all I have to go on. Beef stroganoff. Wow was I disappointed. Soo salty I couldn't eat it. I didn't want to wait to have them cook another dish so I just packed it to go, leaving almost all the gravy on the plate. Well the meat itself was also very salty so, I tried eating what I could because it was $24 and didn't even come with a dinner roll or anything but, never again! The everything pretzel. This was good, the beer cheese was ok, not as thick as other places but the flavor was good. The mustard was not good to me, all you taste is horseradish. The other dish was the Brewsket sandwich (minus the bun). They didn't have anything else to offer besides the brioche bun. (I now see the menu shows they have marble rye bread she could have offered). The brisket and fries were good. The coleslaw again, not a fan as it tasted like horseradish. They have a nice side patio also which I will probably like to visit when it's warmer out for some drinks. Not sure about ordering food again. read more

Nice atmosphere and good service. Beer was ok. Ordered the winter beet salad. It was $16. Literally .20 cents worth of arugula with 3 slices of canned beets (the menu said roasted beets) and a tablespoons worth of pecan bits at the bottom of the bowl. Paying more to eat healthy is pretty standard at restaurants but this took it to the next level. Pretty disappointing. read more

Stopped after work for beer and food. Only got the beer which I enjoyed. Food selection looked good but waitress was flirting with other table for a long while and we then didn't want to wait for the food by the time she came back (saved me $50) and we had finished our drinks. they craft their beer and always a nice variety always cold and refreshing Amazing food. I Highly recommend going here

Stopped here on the way back to Akron from the West Side Market. A few observations. Upon arrival, the bartender ignored us completely. Didn't receive a menu, a hello, or any other acknowledgement that we were there. That particular employee was too busy proudly telling the patron right next to us that his friends played college football. This is my only negative. The beer was good and cold and creative. The service from everyone other than Mr. Football was outstanding. We didn't eat, but every plate that we saw looked great and smelled better. Super clean environment and a really cool upstairs option that had two holiday gatherings at the same time. The staff hustled to make every order in a timely fashion and there were a few "regulars" while we were there who seemed to really enjoy it. We plan to go back and get some of their food. Easily a five star review if we didn't wait ten minutes for the bartender from Mogadore to drop menus in front of us and walk away. read more

I had the chicken schnitzel, I was not thrilled. The chicken was rubbery and chewy. Mashed potatoes were ok. My husband had the thing with Mac and cheese. He loved his.we also had the poutine appetizer, that was very good. Service was ok, it wasn't busy when we arrived and ordered, but did get very busy. But food took a bit to come out. read more

This was our first visit and not our last! We came in later in the evening on a Tuesday and it was pretty quiet. We got sat right away and each ordered a flight to try their brews. I'm not sure what was more disappointing--my meal at Schnitz Ale Brewery last night or the blatant misrepresentation of it on their menu. I ordered the Chicken Confit, described online and in-house as "Chicken Quarters over seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes." For $28, I expected a classic preparation: chicken slow-cooked in its own fat until tender and flavorful, with crispy skin and savory, herbaceous notes. You know, actual confit. Instead, I received a sticky, sugary mess that had no business calling itself confit. The chicken was drowned--smothered--in what tasted like honey or syrup. It was disgustingly sweet and inedible; I couldn't make it past one bite. I had asked for a salad instead of mashed potatoes, trying to lighten the dish, but that too was compromised--polluted by the sweet, gooey sauce that had oozed over everything on the plate, including the seasonal vegetables, which were rendered just as nauseating as the chicken itself. To her credit, the waitress seemed empathetic and did consult the kitchen, but came back with the worst possible answer: "That's how we do it here," per the chef. She also claimed it was listed on the menu as honey-coated. That is simply not true--it is not listed that way on their website, nor was it on the printed menu I saw last night. If you're going to stray that far from a traditional dish--especially one with centuries of culinary history--the very least you can do is describe it accurately. To serve a sugary glaze and call it confit is culinary malpractice. If I wanted dessert chicken, I would've gone to a carnival. Schnitz Ale Brewery should either revise their recipe or, at the very least, stop misleading customers who know what chicken confit is supposed to be. Until then, I'll be taking my appetite--and my money--elsewhere. read more

I have been twice with a decent group of friends and the staff is always accommodating, especially since I'm in a wheelchair. They always make sure our table is easy to get to for me. Also they always have a chair moved out of the way. Last time I went I asked if the chef could cut my elk burger in half and they gladly did. Only complaint is the elk didn't taste as good as I thought it would but then again it is elk. At the end of the day the staff was great and very accommodating. Very accessible! read more

Monday at 5 for dinner. First time visiting this brewery. The place is very nice, beautiful stairway and chandelier, nice atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. I ordered large pretzel. Cheese sauce had a pool of oil around the top. Not very appetizing. Wouldn't stir up. Mustard was very hot. One person had noodles with their dinner but they ran out of the noodles. 2 of us ordered Reuben sandwich. Both were mediocre at best. Very fatty, thick slices. Looked more like jerky meat with a dark red color. Had to pull half the meat off it was so thick. I asked for xtra 1000 dressing and was charged for that. Fries were very good. Not sure if I'll come back. If I do, it would be to try the schnitzel. read more

Food is mediocre. The most flavorless cabbage and noodles I've ever tasted. Boiled cavatappi with soggy boiled cabbage. No butter no onions. Burger was bland and overcooked. This is close to home and we've visited a couple of times. Saturday, we had a large group birthday dinner. I was so pleased, I had to write a review. First, I'm so glad we had a reservation because it was really packed on the ground level. Call for a reservation if you have a party greater than 2. Second, starters: We love the beer cheese covered pretzel and flat bread (it's called something else with an "S" but can't recall the name). We had a couple of nice IPAs. All - Excellent. Our server was so sweet that when we changed our order, even though it was already made, she had our order re-made, with a smile, and quickly. So kudos, also, to the kitchen! For the main course, we raved about our food! The mac & cheese with pulled pork was plentiful and delicious - and this is per a very picky eater. A couple of us had the all beef hamburgers. OH so good! I LOVE their fries! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Note: even the burgers are smoked, so you won't be able to order "rare" or "well done" - it is what it is. The wings were devoured - ordered as a "side" they ended up being an entree. They were huge and the devourer didn't speak as he cleaned the bones. The Brewsket sandwich looked great and was a pleaser, too. Third, I haven't been upstairs, but it looks really nice. It was a bummer that there's only one single restroom on the ground floor. There may be another on the second floor. [I haven't been upstairs, but it looks really nice.] Last, these days it's hard to find great service and so when we find it, we try to boost it! For Schnitz Ale, the service is what brings us back again and again. Ok, that and the pretzel. And the flatbread. And the fries. read more
