Upon entering, I was immediately overwhelmed by a pungent odor reminiscent of cat urine. It was so overpowering that breathing became a challenge, and it was hard to imagine anyone choosing to linger in the retail space. I am a huge advocate for businesses that embrace having animals on site, as it often adds a charming touch to the shopping experience. The cat at Green Acre is indeed beautiful, but unfortunately, its presence has wreaked havoc on the retail space. The unmistakable odor suggests it has chosen the outdoor furniture as its territory, which detracts significantly from the environment--something that management ought to address promptly. Despite this unnerving aspect, I did spot an exquisite Alocasia Zebrina. This find was the shining moment in an otherwise unpleasant visit. Sadly, I didn't venture into their outdoor section, as the state of the houseplant area was disheartening enough. Many of the plants appeared neglected, with signs of overwatering and distress. It was disappointing to see such potential overshadowed by poor maintenance. If this Green Acre location wishes to improve, they could learn a lot from the Green Acres location in Melissa, whose plant manager truly excels. Her expertise and care are evident, and similar attention is needed in Irving to revive their plant offerings and overall customer experience. Overall, I wish I could grant a higher score, but the current conditions make it difficult to recommend Green Acre Nursery until these issues are addressed.

I have honestly bought some of my favorite plants from this place. And they have everything, you need for your garden, including furniture for your patio. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

The photo wasn't of anything bad or wrong, it was not misleading or a misrepresentation, it was a legitimate photo of the outside area of the location that she says is shared with a landscaping company, tho what landscape company I do not know. The reasoning stated to me was that the landscaping company didn't want the photo of their area published. The photo was of the locations surroundings just as any Google maps search would provide, so it's not anything that can't be seen anyway. It showed their "shared space" which being "shared" still makes it part of this businesses space which serves as sort of a parking area. The rating on this review is based on the point of contact by the owner to manipulate the initial review by requesting removal of a photo that is a true representation of what is surrounding the business, part of their "shared space", this removes what is also a visual to allow others to find this out of the way place that is not on any main road. I don't feel it is appropriate for a business to private message a Yelp member for the sole purpose of manipulating what is on the review.

They are on another level when it comes to their lawn and plant care products and varieties of plants. Specifically, I was looking for a plant care product called Ferti-lome Root Stimulator Plant Starter and Medina Plus by Medlina which is a soil activator great for promoting flowering plants and the Ferti-Lome was on sale. Great value on sale or not. Both of these are great if you are a Gardner and if you know, you know know. Also, I was looking for Mexican Bird of Paradise plant and they have them in stock. I bought 4 and they have quite a bit of inventory. Note Home Depot does not carry these products. The service is a five. The woman that helped me was family to the owner, super helpful and friendly. Folks shop here and you get quality plants with friendly service.

We ended up getting one fig tree and one plum tree. the people working there are very helpful and actually helped me save money. i was going to ask them to delivery and plant it at my house, but they told me that since the fruit trees i was buying were on the smaller side, i would simply just put it into my suv and save on the delivery fee. while planting was a pain in the ass, it didn't take too long to plant the two trees. They also recommended that i get some root growth liquid chemicals to help the trees grow. they typically have sales going on. For the fruit trees, it was buy one get another one 40% off. i'm not sure if other nurseries are offering sales, but it was a nice offer Mike was doing. Granted, i don't normally buy trees, i'm not sure if i overpaid for the fruit frees. I think the fig tree was 30 bucks and the plum tree for 40 bucks. Mike garden has a decent selection. they have items that are in the greenhouse along with a lot of other items outside. they also sell garden decorations as well.
