The service was very slow coming to the counter. But once the worker brought out the food that worker was nice and friendly. The tables and floors were clean. They never asked if we wanted anything in combos so that was confusing when getting the drinks, being the first time going. They didn't have two of the three soups that are offered daily. The sandwiches were delicious, minus the service they are way better than the deli up the street. The food was so fresh and hot. Went in for an advertised special for a pizza. Shouldn't have done that. Even for $5, they failed completely. The pizza wasn't even warm. OK so the food is fabulous but here's my issue one the ladies bathroom is a wide open room with 2 toilets which seems very weird secondly we are the only people in here and there's no 1 in the drive app and there's at least 2 employees back there and almost every single table out here needs to be wiped off and there's some litter on the floor override the drink station and yet there's no sign of the employees I don't know what they're doing back there third the food is vastly overpriced I got a like 3/4 cup of broccoli cheese soup and it was $6 which is we did that I spoke they managed food I received in fact my daughter ordered a sandwich chips and a drink and altogether it came about $22 Which seems very steep and finally When they brought us our food and a to go bag even though we were eating inside there were no napkins and no spoon for me to eat my soup. read more

Well my first visit was a big surprise to my wallet. Almost $30.00 for lunch 1/2 salad and soup and 1/2 sandwich with salad one drink and one water. Wow! The soup was excellent. Salads mediocre, sandwich was okay. The rating is mostly due to the price for value of the meal. $2.56 for water is unbelievable and it wasn't bottled water either. read more

Never have any pecan Cinnabon's, throw out soup two hours before they close, employees in sandals and socks with basketball shorts, 15 minute wait time, no one answers the speaker 1/2 the time. All in all, a great place to grab a sandwich. I'm not one who turns up their noses at 'chain' restaurants. No, actually in a 'new to me' town or city finding a trustworthy chain is a comfort, since most will have a standard set of minimum requirements in place in order to meet the requirements of the franchise agreement. My travel schedule is such that an 'off meal' in the evening can RUIN the next business day, so a chain or franchise is often an oasis in a sea of uncertainty. This location, located on one of the main drags in town has plenty of windows, clean restrooms, fast service, AND tasty sandwiches. I opted for the pastrami on rye, while my two partners opted for a classic, and a turkey bacon unit. The bread was wonderful, with that light, fresh-baked quality that other chains featured in the not so distant past, but seem to have forgotten exactly 'how' to duplicate. All items were delivered to our table in a jiffy, despite the fact that the location was suffering under the 'Sunday, after-church rush'. The guys and gals behind the counter were moving in quick-time! Parking was easy. Tables were far enough apart that one of our party with a 'walker' had NO problem making it to our table. This is important, really. Nothing hurts like seeing a family member or friend have to deal with filled chairs, packed in tables, and sometimes rude folk as they try to maneuver to their appointed table or booth. yes, four stars! I love Schlotzsky's as a restaurant in general, but Nacogdoches has literally the worst I've ever been to. They can never seem to get my order right and they just always seem to be able to mess up what would otherwise be a great sandwich. Now I've been to the Schotzsky's in Lufkin and it blows the Nac store out of the water. It's so much better. At first I wrote corporate and ended up getting a gift card out of it, used it and they still screwed it up. So if I'm going to go to Schlotzsky's I'll just wait until I'm in Lufkin for work and grab one there. I work at Old Navy so it's right across the parking lot thankfully! read more

I love the food (only 3 different items) that I get here. I get closing a day or so at Christmas, but I went several days and they were closed. Went last night.....after working for 11 hours standing on my feet, they told me the drive through cash register wasn't open, but I could come in. Ser.iously......write it on a piece of paper. It was closed last week too. What does a girl have to do to get her favorite food about once a day?
