I'm going to keep my review at four stars, but personally, I don't think the sandwiches are quite as good as they used to be. What I have discovered is Schlotzsky's pizza. On Wednesday, pizza is buy one, get one free. They use their crispy bread for the crust, instead of pizza dough. The supreme, and the all vegetable , are definitely my favorites. When you can buy one and get one free, you should definitely try this. Also, leftovers put in the air fryer come out great! Pizza time! read more

Schlotzsky/Cinnabon has been a fave for years and never let us down but today was a total bummer. The Cinnabon CENTER that my hubs brought as a surprise was surprisingly disgusting. It was hard and cold as if it had been microwaved over and over. It should have been HOT and FRESH, I have never known Cinnabon to be anything less. Even if it weren't fresh and was cold it should never have tasted that stale and hardened. It was inedible. The center is supposed to be the best part of the roll. This was the worst. read more

Deliberately serving someone a standard bun in lieu of (the significantly more expensive) gluten free (that I paid for) is equivalent to deliberately giving someone food poisoning. The same goes for requesting no cheese but getting a sandwich with cheese on it. One might suggest just looking at it and figuring out if you think it might be correctly made, but that would imply that I know what your gluten-free bun looks like compared to your sourdough bun. To start, the food is always great. My co-workers, however, think I should hold the onions. I'll keep that in mind. todays service was great. Betty greeted me promptly, took my order, smiled, and had an exceptional attitude. Ordered lunch from this place for several people and the order was all messed up. First the order was delivered to the completely wrong address. Regional plaza across the street & 2 buildings down ,and not the actual hospital. Second, the food was left next to a garbage can & none of the drinks were there. Third, when we finally get the food to our unit, the stinking orders were wrong!!! One of the orders was requested with no meat & guess what??? There was meat on the salad... The woman taking the order asked for the order and did not respond or repeat the order, just the amount owed. I ordered an original ham with no onions, mustard or olives. After an incredibly long wait we were in a rush and didn't check the order until we were eating. My sandwich had an extraordinary amount of musturd and there were olives.I can eat or pick off olives, but I really dislike musturd. Fortunately I am not allergic to anything that I asked to be excluded but that should be a concern. So now my memory of my last Schlotzsky's experience is a rude person taking the order and throwing my musturd soaked sandwich in the trash. read more

Terrible! Staff are too busy smoking or playing to be in a hurry for the customers paying 11 bucks for a sandwich and chips. I have been to this place 3 times in the drive thru and left bc they took too long. Two other times I had to stay bc they already took my money and wasted 45 min already. We waited in the drive through line for nearly 30 minutes and when we got to the window we waited some more until we were asked why we were there. Apparently our order didn't get placed or was deleted and they had already shut down the ovens and whathavery. We waited in line for almost half an hour because it would have been awful to just leave them with a prepared order... so we stuck it out... just to be rudely dismissed because of a mistake on their end. I parked and waited several minutes to be addressed, expecting a delay to hear from whomever was working drive-thru due to the line ahead of me. After a prolonged amount of time, I announced myself assuming they didn't know I was present by simply saying "hello?" An immediate response came through the speakerphone that mocked my tone and then said "Hellooooooooo... I'll be right with youuu." A light chuckle followed her mocking. I tried to call to speak to a manager with no pick up. It left distaste in my mouth. I saw the low customer ratings a long while ago and ignored it. First time at this location. Ordered a sandwich and pizza online. Asked for no mayo and no "special sauce" on sandwich and no red onion on pizza. SandwIch was loaded with both sauces. Pizza had red onion on it and NO PEPPERONI! Didn't discover either until I got home so I had to drive back to get the correct food. When I arrived there were people in line and no employees around. My remade food was sitting in the pick up basket so I just took it and left. Now I'm a fan of the Schlotzsky's Sandwiches, I usually get the original or the Angus beefy cheesy. I don't know if I'm quite a fan of this location, last night I ordered Angus beef with cheese and the turkey bacon club both meals = $18 dollars and some change. When I got them home they were slopped together, looked like the bread wasn't even toasted the cheese wasn't melted and I'm not sure if the mayo went bad but something was sour. Needless to say I was very disappoint and a little advice if you are wanting to try they're sandwiches for the first time don't go to this location it doesn't do it justice. I hit this location up every time I happen to visit Abilene. I had never experienced the Schlotzky sandwich before and I'm fan..... The bread is so strange but super yummy. I get the club each time and every time it's freakin' awesome. Whether you're eating in, or getting it to go, Schlotsky's is a guaranteed good meal. Schlotzsky's; It's a rainy day in Abilene today, one of the few days it rains here in this part of Texas. A buddy took me over to pick up the Harley from the glass repair place where I left it over night, Not a real good idea to have left it there... But I did. Got a little wet... IT ALL GOOD! On the way home I hit up Schlotzsky's Deli not been there in about six months. Nice place and like the location, parking there is a bit funky at times. It OK as a Deli but for some reason I'm just not a fan of the bread they use. It feel odd to me, good sandwich and service with helpful flirty staff, (lol, I give points for that). Impossibly slow! Girl taking orders in drive through was a smart elec. I waited over 20 minutes to order.

There have been multiple times that I will come here and the staff through the drove thru are rude to me and then when we pull forward and have to wait in the drive thru long for almost 30 minutes that's just rediculous. Sometimes I go to the North side just because they are nicer and faster but it's really a pain because I live on the south side. Please fix this. read more

Waited in line for 15 minutes just to move to the ordering menu- first mistake. Ordered and never got my order stated back to me or a total. When I hollered back she told me to pull up. While I was waiting to order, a car went around and pulled up to the pick up window. I assumed it was a call in order but when I got up to the window the lady said I hadn't ordered yet. She was very nice and took my order again then told me to pull up and she would walk it out. Why did I order? Should've just left! Another 10 minutes and I got my order! Their food is rarely fresh, the admit to microwaving their pizzas, and while they have kind employees knowingly serving hours old pizza isn't all that considerate. The only reason this place gets a star from me is because that's the lowest you can give. I went there at 6:15 and left at 7:30 WITHOUT my food. I was ignored by the giggly, incompetent teenage girls working there and either they forgot my food or gave it to someone else. Either way, they said nothing to me, just didn't care. I told customer service about it and a manager was supposed to contact me and it's been a month and I've heard nothing. So I guess management reflects the behavior of the employees, so I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

We came in with a large group with kids, a vegetarian and omnivores. 9 people in all and everyone from the cashier and supervisor were very patient, super friendly and helpful. Terrible! I live Schlotzsky's and we don't eat there that often because of the price so it's a luxury; however, we had s terrible experience. The drive thru took over 30 minutes and then my order was wrong, I went inside because they forgot my chips, having to take both my young kids out of car seats to get them, then when we got home they forgot my salad dressing!
