    Onions
    Nicole A.

Every time I have come here I ask for no onions. Every order has come with onions. The sandwiches are actually really good and would be even better without onions.

Eastland County rest stop... You may need this

Deliberately serving someone a standard bun in lieu of (the significantly more expensive) gluten free (that I paid for) is equivalent to deliberately giving someone food poisoning. The same goes for requesting no cheese but getting a sandwich with cheese on it. One might suggest just looking at it and figuring out if you think it might be correctly made, but that would imply that I know what your gluten-free bun looks like compared to your sourdough bun. This message brought to you from a roadside rest stop. Thank you for making my road trip comfortable and convenient.

    The original sandwhich

I ordered the original sandwhich, was pretty damn good. Bread was flavorful and really soft. The meat was good as well as all the topping that come.on it. Really enjoyed it!

Avocado turkey artisan flatbread. Delicious. 780 calories if that helps.

To start, the food is always great. My co-workers, however, think I should hold the onions. I'll keep that in mind. todays service was great. Betty greeted me promptly, took my order, smiled, and had an exceptional attitude. I couldn't tell if she was actually having an exceptional day herself, but she exuded professionalism and positivity and that in turn inspires me to do the same at my job no matter the circumstances. As usual, seemed clean and service was quick. Great job overall

So, does this look like no mustard?

I'm moving out of the area, so I wanted to have one last Schlotzsky's experience. Ugh.You know your order isn't going to go right when they don't even repeat the order back at the drive thru. The woman taking the order asked for the order and did not respond or repeat the order, just the amount owed. I ordered an original ham with no onions, mustard or olives. After an incredibly long wait we were in a rush and didn't check the order until we were eating. My sandwich had an extraordinary amount of musturd and there were olives.I can eat or pick off olives, but I really dislike musturd. Fortunately I am not allergic to anything that I asked to be excluded but that should be a concern. So now my memory of my last Schlotzsky's experience is a rude person taking the order and throwing my musturd soaked sandwich in the trash.

Staff member was extremely pleasant didn't let a table get dirty while I was there, and nice parting phrase for each guest as they left.

Great neighborhood sandwich pick up and go! Great to feed large groups. The original or turkey and avocado are my choices.

Terrible service! Spent 20 minutes waiting in the drive thru with one other person in front of me. Never coming back.

The vibes were immaculate from the stunning decor to the chill music, it was giving Sunday afternoon on a Friday at 10:00 am. Chef Alex let me sample the Lemon Basil Chicken Salad which was truly elevated and delicious. (Best I've ever had, by a landslide) so I had to order it on the crescent. I also had the Italiano Panini which was an explosion of flavor! It paired perfectly with the cold pasta salad which effortlessly balances flavors of harissa, black olive, and sweet cherry tomatoes with just enough hint of spice to awaken the senses and make you crave more. Chef Alex does not miss! Believe it or not, the most amazing thing about this place is not the ambiance or the food. What drew me in and will keep me coming back over and over again is the fact that the owners Chef Alex and his wife April have captured the feeling you get when visiting a small family owned restaurant in Italy. The personal service, charismatic interaction with the chef, and a sense of the passion they bring to every detail of your experience! Especially the food. They are genuine and hard working and deserve all the success in the world!

I've eaten at Jersey Mikes Subs in the Dallas area, but this is my first time at the Abilene store…read more Jersey Mike's is definitely one of the better sandwich shops. The special they are running right now is the #2 sub, chips, and drink for $10.99. An excellent sub and an excellent value. The Abilene store is quite small, so the seating area is very crowded. You are definitely back to back with the next table, so getting it to go might be a better idea. Again, great food and I'm glad they finally made it to Abilene.

Basically, "choose your adventure," except all the adventures are sad. And then the prep? They build your sandwich directly on a cutting board. A dirty, scraped-off-between-subs cutting board. Everyone else uses paper to avoid cross-contamination. Not here. They scrape, shrug, and start again. This place is DEFINITELY NOT SAFE for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities! They also drench the previous sandwich in vinegar, scrape the board like they're mad at it, and then slap your bread down right on the damp battlefield. Mine tasted like vinegar even though he didn't put any on it. Couldn't have onions, yet the sub made right before mine had a mountain of them... and that mess became my sandwich's foundation. And the price? Twenty bucks. For a "Giant" which was just everyone else's foot long or regular. My coupons are going in the trash, and I am never going back.
