Dark Chocolate Mocha Truffle is the BEST!

I have tried ALL of the other "Handmade Chocolate" around the entire State of Florida, most of the US and parts of the world. Scheurer's Chocolate is by far the World's Best Chocolate! The Dark Chocolate Mocha Truffle is the best piece of chocolate I have EVER TASTED! Don't believe me, try it for yourself. Their staff are the sweetest

Today is last day at current location.

I came here today Friday July 10,2020 at about 11am. Last time I came here was on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago and it is closed on Sunday. Let me back up by saying how I found this place. Being a small independent business I always try to look for small local businesses when I need to send a customer flowers, candy etc. So I googled "hand made chocolate near me" and this place an Hoffmans came up. Hoffmans is a larger scale operation so I wanted something smaller and more small batch made. So I pull up today at 11am after driving almost 30 minutes to get here and there is a little older woman with keys going into the store with some bags. A few seconds later she exits and locks the door. I rolled down my window and asked her if they were open. She said not until 1pm. I told her this is my 2nd time coming here and they were closed and she said "Let me park my car and give me a second and I will help you" I could not believe my ears. 2 hours before they open and this woman is going to help me? Most places wont open 3 minutes before opening time. I told her I wanted 1 pound assorted chocolates and she can pick in case she didn't want me to go in. But she opened the door and waved me in. While she packed my box, I picked out some hand dipped chocolate covered licorice sticks, a couple of chocolate covered oreo's. Then of course I needed something for the road so I picked out a truffle. I cant remember which one it was but it was super delightful. Not too rich, or too sweet, just perfect. She informed me that today was their last day in that location and they were moving to Boynton Beach. I am so glad I went down there today and got to try these. I added my name to her email list and thanked her again.

Super nice place to get a variety of chocolate treats. They have a pretty big display of Easter themed chocolates good for gifting. They also make customized gift baskets for any occasion. Customer service is nice and prices are reasonable for gourmet chocolate.

The most delicious chocolate! We had a wonderful experience here. There is a very large selection ranging from milk, dark and white chocolate to truffles and adult spiked sweets with alcohol. You have to meet the owner Laura & her Mother. They hand dip each piece so it really is made with love. This is a great destination for a small box or a large order for holidays or corporate gifting.

Owner was nice and samples were delicious!!! Im excited to bite into these .

I wasn't impressed by the quality of chocolate. I think Hoffman's quality is much better even though you are paying more.

I spoke with the man on the phone and he said he could replace the strings on a tallis that belonged to my husband's grandfather. My husband drove 25 minutes each way to have this done, and when he looked at it, he refused to replace the strings without any proper explanation other than to say that it was not a good enough shape to bury someone with. We are not interested in burying anyone, just using it for my daughter's mitzvah. He offered no assistance and where we might get this done when I spoke to him on the phone, he did not say anything about it, depending on the condition of the Tallis. The whole experience was very disappointing.

I will say, the grounds are absolutely delightful, especially if you go in the Springtime as we did where flowers are all in full bloom, that alone is worth the ticket price. The architecture is exquisite! A feast for the eyes in so many ways. When we came to visit, they were doing renovations. You could see the water damage on the roof and walls, probably caused by one of the many Summer storms, because of that the tickets were at a discount that day but we were still able to appreciate the beauty of Viscaya. There are two cafe's. One in the garden of the main house, and another across the street where farm animals use to be kept. Surprisingly, the food and drinks are reasonably priced. The day we were there, a wedding was going to take place and there was a lot of commotion going on. Fancy tables being set up, fine china, crystal glasses, the whole works. We asked a security guard how much it costs to have a wedding reception there and he said: "Just to rent the space, no tables, no nothing, starting price is 100k". So if you have 100k lying around, and plan to get married soon, this could be an option for you. Jokes aside though; I'd definitely visit again.

The property and history is pretty amazing. As many other reviews have mentioned, a good portion of the rooms and structures are closed for renovations. They have reduced the entry to $20 from $25 but it still was a little disappointing that the casino building and several rooms in the house were closed. Being that it was the offseason, some of the gardens did seem to be past their peak. We hope to return when everything is open in season and tour the whole facility.
