Super small, thought it would be bigger and with much more variety to choose from. They didn't have much. The pb chocolate bar was really just regular milk chocolate with like 6 Reese's pieces on it. Super thin bar. Got a few of the little chocolates in the display case to try. Some actually did taste like the flavor they were supposed to be but some just tasted like chocolate. We found this little nice chocolate store while driving by. At first we thought it's a factory where you can go and watch how they make chocolates.. but actually it's also a candy store.. well... mostly just a candy store. We were there few times and the factory closed at that time, so we couldn't see the making in progress. But they said you can schedule a tour in the future and also see the employees making chocolates on weekdays. Their candies are really good and tasty. Mostly white chocolate though as this way you can taste the flavours better. But they do have milk and dark chocolates, as well. They also offer special discounts each day of the week so look out for those too. They also have parking right in front of the store, so no need to look and park on street. read more

AHMAZING. Delicious. Just go in. There are many offerings and you can see the chocolate magic happening in the back. My favorites are the Tahini, 100%, and the coconut sugar. Remember to sign up for a membership to get deals with the Del Ray Dozen! Buying in bulk helps save $$ per bar. I can eat a bar in one sitting! Also, the person at the register is always helpful. A great stop when looking for quality chocolate. I was told that the owner is an artist and it shows in all of the chocolate sculptures in display. I also heard that the chocolate bars are available at all of the Whole Foods in Florida. That is nice to know so when I want more dark chocolate with hazelnut, I can get a bar near me. The building is massive and the business is not near any other shops but worth the trip to see the process. They probably use it as a factory and have the retail side as an added benefit. It was well organized and impeccably clean. The staff member was nice to us. We were the only customers in the shop but then again it was early in the day. This was one place I wanted to try. That beautiful, huge, chocolate color sign called my name every time I passed the street. It was hard to resist not turning in. I finally made it inside today and I was glad I did. Just the scent alone of chocolate was worth stopping in. The inside was not what I expected. As I walked in my eyes focused on the big chocolate sculptures. I had to go right to them. I was greeted by the lady working the desk. I was so taken by the statues that I barely paid her attention. It is an interesting place to visit. The chocolate items are nicely displayed. Some items have some type of sculpture made from chocolate. Toward the back wall, there is a clear glass that allows you to watch the magic of chocolate making. I got a hot chocolate. It was good. I want to say I tasted an aroma if that makes sense. It had cinnamon, nutmeg and I don't what other goodness was inside. I got the raspberry hibiscus iced tea for my son. He liked it. It was a beautiful colored drink. Had to stop by my favorite chocolatier ! They have new holiday themed treats like Easter packages and some classics like hazelnut bark. I grabbed one of each because why not? I wanted a chocolate covered almonds but they were out. I was told by the clerk that there is a waiting list for them, or better said a call log. If you join the call log notification list they will notify you when the almonds are ready for pick up and so they usually sell out quickly. Also I received $10 off my recent purchase, hooray! And if you didn't know they have a membership that rewards you with points that add up to dollars for future purchases. Definitely give this place a try. read more

We were looking for something special out of the ordinary in the form of chocolate for 3 gifts and our search brought us to this awesome place. The delicious aroma and the delightful interior created this Willy Wonka-like ambience. You were literally immersed in something beyond wonderful. There were so many creations to choose from. I didn't know where to start so I decided to go to the display cases where my eyes feasted on beautifully crafted artisan chocolates with vibrant colours and descriptions of every flavor you could never imagine. I then took some time to look at the shelves and basically took a bit of everything I had time to check out. I'm definitely going back and bringing friends to try the countless other deliciousness that I have yet to try. The aroma inside is sweet and distinctly cocoa smelling. This factory is Willy Wonka-ish. The creations are pure art. The chocolate is sourced from the best beans but I am certainly not a connoisseur in the field so to me it was a neat experience but way too expensive for my chocolate taste buds. I got what I was hoping to be a dark chocolate bar but is was much closer to being regular milk chocolate. It is a waste for me to spend $5.00 on a small chocolate bar even if it is the famed Madagascar chocolate. We stopped in here and we were thrilled to know this chocolate place exists! It sort of took us by surprise - All kinds of chocolate statues were behind the glass; chocolate candies; just loved the look and feel of the place. I ended up having a coffee (I don't eat chocolate)! I plan to take my kids here because they have free tours on the weekends which I think would be fun and interesting to do. They also do bulk orders which is cool - if you're having a party - keep them in mind. They do have organic ice cream and gelato too! This is the hidden secret of Delray. The only certified organic chocolate factory in Florida. It's in the middle of nowhere restaurant-wise. It can look sort of lonely standing out there on its own by the railroad tracks. The exterior windows are mirrored with only CHOCOLATE FACTORY in the building top. It just looks like a fish out of water from the exterior. Once you go inside though, it is something really special. It really is a working chocolate factory, and it has some really amazing chocolate, Ice cream, and espresso coffee. Plus you'll see the big windows that let you look into the factory and see what's up. Chocolate is definitely more for your grownups, than kiddos. More elegant, and eclectic than your Kilwins or Hofmann's. Definitely more pricey, but you can taste the difference! The dark chocolate comes from different parts of the world. Everything is created from scratch if it's chocolate. They have ice cream and coffee. The coffee is very good, not amazing. Avid is too high for espresso. They are off to a great start, and definitely worth your while to go and check out! They'll be opening a store in the Miami Design District near Gucci soon! read more

Signed up for the tour on and tasting as a Valentine's Day surprise for my hubby. We had a great time learning about the art of making chocolate, and all the trials and tribulations along the way. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain some of the science behind chocolate making. Toward the end of the tour there's a table with a bunch of different kinds of chocolate from all over the world. A little something for everyone (milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark with varying levels of cocoa, and even 100% chocolate. It's an open Q&A session. After, we took a stroll through the gift shop and I was surprised at the variety...would be a great place to pick up some Xmas gifts. They also have espresso and gelato and ice cream, so it's a nice place to indulge. Everything was very clean and looked brand new. I was waiting for this place to open for quite some time as they built the place. It did not disappoint! And like a previous reviewer said this is more a place for adults or people who appreciate art/creativity/ and of course chocolate. I do recommend their strawberry gelato. It is so delicious and tastes like it is made with fresh ingredients. (2nd choice would be the cake batter) Their chocolate is not too sweet which makes it easy to eat a lot of it. I'm bewildered, reading all the reviews. Most are complimenting the superior product and process and a few are complaining it doesn't taste good or the price is too high. I see it differently as a complete waste of resources and opportunity. As a retail consumer experience it's a disaster. Very small product display. Nothing to draw you in. No color. No fragrance. No special lighting. No fantasy. No seating. NO IMAGINATION This is the opposite of Willy Wonka and not even close to Hershey, Pa. Maybe the retail end was an afterthought and the wholesale end is what this place is all about. With an investment of land, building and equipment of maybe 5 million dollars I hope so or we are going to have a huge brick empty elephant looking for a repurpose very soon in N. For a brand new chocolate shop this is a very aesthetically pleasing establishment. The chocolate factory is on display and the products on the shelves are perfectly organized. Private lot in delray so parking is easy. The chocolate itself was ok. I wasn't blown away by the flavors. I honestly was expecting the bonbons to be more intense and distinguishable in flavor profile but they weren't. They were mild and tasted somewhat similar to each other. The quality of the chocolate itself is good, even, and delicate. But nothing spectacular. I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase their chocolates again but I would have something custom made here as a gift. They offer to make anything out of their chocolates which would be a nice gesture to have a gourmet chocolate shop craft a personalized gift as opposed to the franchised chocolatiers. The quality is just slightly better than a Kilwin's or Hoffman's. read more

The interior is uniquely design, you get to see the very impressive equipment that makes their delicious chocolate concoctions. The worst truffles I've ever tasted. Disgusting. $13.00 for 6 truffles. An employee couldn't even answer basic questions, probably because she seemed extremely nervous which is not her fault as it seemed that she had very little training. Very strange decor with very little product. I doubt they will last long. Basically threw away $25.00. read more

Insane place with some of the best chocolate. Going in feels like you are seeing some attraction with all of the cool chocolate sculptures. Some of the chocolates were so different looking that they looked fake. Everything tasted great and the person who helped us was wonderful and gave us amazing insight into the business. What a disappointment this chocolate factory/business is. I was really looking forward to the opening and I have been back several times by myself and with others and we have all found the chocolate and the shop to be quite underwhelming. Just about every aspect of the shop is wrong - very wrong. There is little on display and little to wow or interest a consumer. I understand that this is an artisanal and a bean to bar product and that I love, however it is not enough to sustain interest or bring customers back. I love chocolate and have gone to places such as Ecuador and western and Southern Africa to cacao farms to understand and appreciate the chocolate making process. I often order chocolate bars from Italy and other European countries. I went to the Mast Brothers chocolate shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn when it first opened. Such is my love of chocolate, so when I heard that a bean to bar factory was opening in Delray Beach I was excited, however 5150 Chocolate has left me unimpressed. The shop's displays consist of several small chocolates, a few specialty chocolates and a wall of chocolate bars. Not much more than this. I understand the owner does not want to expand into other chocolate options and because of that the limited offered product has to be great - well its not. I find the chocolate to be below average and each bar - with standard options as well as flavors such as pickle and taco to be similar in taste to one another. I went so far as to purchase a few of the limited items such as a dark chocolate starfish and was also underwhelmed. The cost is high and the product was a bland one note dull unsatisfying block of chocolate nothingness. I like and appreciate that this is an attempt at bringing an artisanal product to South Florida as well as it being an individual owned business. Kudos to that. I will continue to seek out and support the rogue chocolate maker. But unfortunately I am done with 5150 Chocolate. I give two stars instead of one because I still want this store to succeed. I believe if he re-thinks his business operation, makes necessary changes and alterations there might be time to save the factory. I hope he does. read more
