I met the owner of the company this past summer at the Fancy Food show in NYC. I was drawn to the displays due to the colors of the chocolates. So incredible declines. Norman Love who is a pastry chef from Fort Meyers, FL was the corporate executive pastry chef for the Ritz-Carlton from 1988-2001. Norman Love founded NLC with Sarasota-based pastry chef Judy Limekiller. They did indeed create premium choolates for hotels, resorts and restaurants, but then switched dover to retail. They have 4 stores - Naples, Estero, Delray Beach, Fort Myers and a new one will be joining in Boca town Center. I visited the one at Delray Place on Federal Highway and Linton Blvd. My college age daughter was with us and had to get to individual chocolates and a praline tower! Both simply beautiful. The place is beautiful as well and I will have to come back to try their different coffees and ice creams as well.I actually don't have chocolate a lot but tried their dark chocolate bit and it just melted in your mouth! So delicious. They ae all made in Fort Meyers and all super yummy. Try something. I know you will be happy .

Norman Love is a pastry chef from Fort Myers, Florida. He served as the corporate executive pastry chef for Ritz-Carlton from 1988 to 2001. In 2001, Love founded Norman Love Confections with Sarasota-based pastry chef Judy Limekiller. At first they created premium chocolates for hotels, resorts, and restaurants, but found greater success with retail customers. In February 2002, USA Today named Ganache Chocolates, now Norman Love Confections as one of the top 10 artisan chocolate companies in the country. There are four Norman Love Confections in Naples, Estero, and two in Fort Myers. Their newest location is in Delray Beach. Norman Love Confections is located in Delray Place on Federal Highway. They are currently in soft opening. They are offering 20 percent off the entire month of September for their grand opening. I tried the chocolate chip cookie and coconut bar and both were amazing! The cookie was huge and I could only eat a quarter. The dark chocolate coconut bar was my favorite, think an elevated Almond Joy. There are a few tables inside, a counter with high top chairs along the window, and a few more tables out front. Everyone was super friendly and eager to introduce me to the brand. They have a selection of pastries, ice cream, chocolates, fancy desserts, and chocolates all made in Fort Myers. Prices are expensive but the ingredients are of the highest quality. Come try them this month when you can enjoy the generous 20 percent off discount.

My 2-piece treat!

It's like eating art! The prettiest, most eclectic chocolates I've ever seen. They taste great! So many flavors and unique varieties to choose from. They offer free samples. The staff is very friendly and informative about the history of the business. They offer pastries, desserts, and coffee as well. You can customize your own box of chocolates, great gift idea. It's like if Art Basel had a baby with chocolates.

Who doesn't love chocolate? And Hoffman's does it best. We remember going to their original…read morelocation in Lake Worth and buying gift boxes. We miss that place. The company was sold and now there are only these stores. There are about 6 retail locations in South Florida. We got to sample some of their dark chocolate and peanut butter candy. It was very rich ... and very good. This location is quite popular. A perfect spot to come for dessert after dining at one of the nearby restaurants in the Delray Marketplace.

We had just finished lunch at Burt and Max's and decided to walk around the plaza for dessert. The chocolate we bought was great. This time? Completely different story. We walked in--me and my 88-year-old father--and not a word. No "hello," no acknowledgment, nothing. Just silence. There was one other mother and daughter in the store, so it's not like they were slammed. We start looking around, trying to figure things out on our own. I noticed the sample tray under the glass dome and walked over. All that was left were crumbs. I joked, "Wow, those are really small samples," before realizing there weren't any samples left at all. The employee hears me, walks over, takes the entire tray away... and still says nothing. No "sorry about that," no offer to bring out more, no attempt to engage. Just removes it and goes back to ignoring us. At that point, we walked out. I'm not going to spend premium prices in a place that can't even manage basic customer service. If you want to charge premium prices, you need to provide premium service. That starts with something as simple as acknowledging customers when they walk in the door. I likely won't be back.

I used the app to buy an assortment of cookies from Chip City today. I paid $7 for a few random cookies. With the app, they have a strict policy where you cannot make any alterations or adjustments to the order. You get what you get and you don't get upset. They tasted good. Not as crazy as Crumbl Cookies, the flavors tasted more cozy and kinda like you can recreate them at home. I like that the cookies weren't raw, they were nicely baked. With YooGoodToGo they don't really serve you hot food, so the cookies were room temperature. The employee who handed me my order was so nice. She told me all of the flavors she gave me, and even told me to be cautious when reheating them because of the frosting. The ambiance of Chip City Delray is ADORABLE! The store front is so cute, the location is very central and the decor is a 10/10

Service was fast and friendly and I don't remember seeing any chairs or anything like that to sit down inside so it's definitely a grab and go kind of cookie shop. Very cute inside! All in all, the cookie I tried was delicious and it's a great place to pop in if you are walking around downtown Delray and want something sweet to eat.
