Had a different electrician out that diagnosed some issues with the solution Light Up Electric completed. Turned out the 3-way switch they replaced was bad originally and just needed to be replaced. The other electrician squared it all away and got everything working, but it cost me a few hundred and lots of downtown as my router was out for a few days while the ultimate fix was applied.

Todd and Brian rapidly diagnosed problems found in my breaker box and sub panel, answered my questions, explained the issues in a way that I found easy to under. In fact, they were fun to watch and listen to as they went to work confirming what was to code and what was not. After investigating everything and said "no problem". Then I showed them the rest of the mess made by the GC I fired and again "no problem". Then they walked me through the work, to confirm what I wanted done, and recommended some much needed maintenance on some old breakers, which I was happy to get done, and then they gave me a quote. I hired them on the spot. On the scheduled date and time, they showed up and got to work. While they worked, they discovered a number of additional issues, and took care of them all. They discovered a brand new motion detector installed by my GC was wired wrong and was actually fried (my GC tried to tell me was completed work despite the fact that it never worked). The good news is: Todd and Brian finished all of the work on time, including the extra work. They were a pleasure to chat with and work through decisions, throughout the entire process. They were great even at the little things like: - letting us know before they turned the power off - recommending which appliances to turn off first - letting us know before they brought the power back on. - letting us know before they left for lunch, which doors they locked, and when they expected to return. ...this is just good customer service. When all of the work was done, they walked me through everything I asked for, showed everything they fixed or replaced, or installed and they even tripled checked some lines that went to my pool equipment that turned out to be extra. In my humble opinion, they went above and beyond in every way. Every problem I asked them to fix, got fixed. Every installation was exactly how they told me it would be during the estimate. And the work areas were clean (no snipped wires left all over the place, etc.). To me, having just gone through a nightmare scenario? Douglas is honest, budget (your budget) minded so he is fair, and his is fully licensed and bonded in Arizona from California; so you know that he knows what he is doing. You can fully trust him should Douglas need to slip away for a short time. The other is in the process of learning under two very good and knowledgeable mentors. Douglas Wright Electric, recently installed a garage sub-panel and both 115V and 230V 20A ceiling twist-lock receptacles dedicated to my woodworking machinery. All work was fully permitted and inspected by the city, Douglas Wright Electric is now finishing up the electrical for a Mini-Split (HVAC) system for my garage so I can work comfortably during the summer; I have a licensed HVAC guy installing the actual Mini-split unit. But after that is done, I already have Douglas Wright Electric slated for some inside the house electrical re-wiring work to fix a screw-up by the original home builder. I now can't imagine calling anyone else now than Douglas Wright Electric. Professional, knowledgeable, fair, and a great guy as are his helpers. And they won't leave a mess.
