A friend and I stopped in today to have some sweet treats and wow we were both amazed with this place. Not only does it offer amazing and delicious baked goods, but it also has hot food, alcoholic beverages, along with a lot of cute items for sale. It was painful to stand in line to place my order because once I thought I had figured out what I wanted, I saw something else that looked equally delicious. I ended up with a slice of salted chocolate caramel cake, which came with extra salted caramel, and it was delicious! I couldn't eat it all so it was nice to have the rest of the piece later at home. My friend got one of the Shindigz cookies and raved about it. She said it was one of the best cookies she's ever had. They have indoor and outdoor seating and as today was a nice day, we sat outside in a little garden area that had fountains and was very nice. If you have a sweet tooth and a hankering for something delicious, Shindigz is the place to go!

Or, you can skip right to the dessert options! I have yet to have a bad dessert here, but favorite include their Oreo mocha pie, any version of Oreo cake, cannoli, and their homemade Oreos. Service is always warm and friendly, and there are lots of tables to sit inside or outside in their garden area! A Richmond staple and for good reason!

I thought there was line out the door at first but it turns out it's just a window so the line is always out the door I guess. We grabbed two slices, one banoffee and one coconut cream. Would love to come back to try their savory pies as well but they have a great selection and the staff is nice here.

I ordered several of the savory scones and a couple of cookies and loved them all. Both the cookies and scones vary by flavor but we had a sweet potato scone and a lavender flavored scone. I would not normally have ordered a lavender flavored anything but my wife loves it and I am glad she does. I tried it and struggled to leave any for her. I at almost the entire scone. The sweet potato was equally as good but with a much milder flavor. And the cookies....out of this world! The servers were friendly but nothing over the top. They seemed to be a cog in the machine and churning out orders. Overall, a cute little, vegan, spot with really good pastries and coffee. Head caution on the milkshakes if you are not use to vegan milkshakes. While they taste good, at least to me, they are wildly different than an cows milk milkshake. Alot of people are shocked by this and turned off by the flavor.

I walked in after seeing their sign on the sidewalk last week (I'd had a meeting nearby and was walking back to my car). It's just a tiny shop with the most beautiful loaves of bread. I left with a gorgeous loaf of rye, but they still had a few options when I arrived in the afternoon on a weekday pretty close to their closing time (several types were sold out, but I still had options). The founder of Europa Crust seems a little obsessed with bread, and residents of Richmond, that's to your benefit. Bread lovers, stop and check it out.

That employee also completely ignored me, despite the fact that I was clearly standing there waiting to be helped. I was there to pick up a DoorDash order for someone else, but based on the way I was treated, I can guarantee you I will not be choosing to spend my own money at this establishment. I ultimately had to ask another customer who was standing in line if they knew where to pick up a DoorDash order. The entire experience was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. A simple acknowledgment or, at the very least, "We'll be with you in a moment" would have made a huge difference.

The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

I had been here once before and ordered my friend a birthday mini fruit tart and myself a cake. I remember wishing the cake was a bit more moist and curious to try other desserts. They have more of a takeout situation here, so I ordered my sweets to go and ate them at home. It's pretty tiny shop. I loved the cheesecake the most. The passionfruit tart was fun, although with passionfruit as the base flavor I wish there were more tropical topping and then maybe a plain custard one with the berries. It was still tasty. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area looking for some dessert.

It was brusque but mostly not overtly rude, perhaps they were just busy getting ready. I ordered the charcuterie board ($28), a chicken salad croissant sandwich ($14), and the Lavender Bees Knees ($8). The drink was very pretty but not super flavorful. The chicken salad was good enough, but I think the croissant alone would have been wonderful. The charcuterie board had a substitutions I was not made aware of upon ordering (no pepper jelly, blanched almonds instead of candied pecans, and a green onion mixed type goat cheese with bacon in it instead of maple bacon goat cheese). They did add little pickles and the presentation was pretty enough, but no flowers like the owner posted photo on here. The meat was pretty thick which could be a positive or negative depending on personal preference, and the meat was decent quality. The fig jam was very good. The waitress who was helping the other tables had brought my food out but didn't check on me at all. I had to go up to the counter again to order a cinnamon roll ($8) and a coffee ($5) which she brought out to me. The coffee was nice and dark (Cameo blend) and incredibly hot. The cinnamon roll was okay, not very much cinnamon flavor but it was delicate and the icing was decent. The interior was pretty and it was a good spot to read a book and spend a morning.

I would recommend an individual thing but it doesn't matter. Short of an allergy, nothing you can have there is a bad idea. Pain chocolate? Amazing. Kouign-amann? Surprisingly soft and fluffy.
