New HVAC filter, reset breaker. Thermostat batteries are fine. Still not kicking on. Sent Yelp message to RES because they have always been quick to respond. And they did this time as well and the woman who gave me a call was nice and tried to help. Pretty disappointed that they can't quickly swing by today. From what I've read, it's likely a dirty flame sensor or the ignitor switch (neither of which is a long job - I just don't have the tools). HVAC less than 5 years old, so parts are under warranty with RES; however, I had to call someone else. Bottom line: Someone else is coming today, but I could end up paying for parts. Kind of feels like my current needs weren't lucrative enough for RES to make a concerted effort to swing by.

I had several additional requests which they accommodated such as adding an extra drain line and additional return vent and all the work was done as requested. Since completion of the job, they have come back on routine maintenance visits to keep the system up and running and the cost of which was included with the original work. I therefore. have been very pleased with after-installation service. Separately, I used them for plumbing, specifically replacing a sink faucet, repairing a garbage disposal, and repairing a leaky shower fixture. I was very pleased with this service as well. Especially the garbage disposal because all it needed was a minor turn of a crank to loosen it up instead of a full replacement, which saved me a significant amount of money. Obviously, overall, I'm very happy with their services. I will be using them again and highly recommend.

It's unbelievable but some companies required upfront deposit even before assessment of the issue. Our technician,Brian, was on time, called prior, came with shoe covers, quickly identified problems with toilet, gave us estimates and couple options to think about. I called next morning and next business day he returned and completed repair. Again on time, very professional and leave no dirt or waste after job. Prices are horribly high now everywhere, but plumbing can't be avoided,so their price point is adequate to area, but service is superb. Can't deduct star for high prices, because they are using gas and supplies which are horrible now.

The heater wasn't producing enough heat during a time when the temperatures were really starting to go down. I thought it was due to wiring issues on my ecobee system. A tech came out, looked at the wiring, and proceeded to work on the system down stairs. Apparently it was due to the refrigerant being low. Had no idea, that refrigerant was needed to produce heat. All in all, it was fixed and was done quickly. Not sure how the price compares but I think it was fair.

This past week we had a part failure on our heat pump, and Mike personally walked us through various troubleshooting procedures over the phone before coming by to examine the unit in person. He ended up ordering a replacement part, coming back the next day and spending over an hour installing it and ensuring it was working properly. And for all this work, four years after installation? No charge at all. Mike has been in the business for years, and genuinely sees his customers as valuable, long-term relationships. It's borderline incredible that in an era where seemingly everyone in the universe is out to nickel and dime you for every little thing, people like Mike are still putting in the work. Beyond frustrating! I give two stars because the tile guy did a nice job and the plumber was kind. Lesson learned- Do Not use a big box store for a remodel and don't use Nichols and Phipps for remodeling work.

If it is cold out and your heat is off, you'll pay just about anything, and they count on that. Between the 35% markup on parts, charging to go pick up your part, and the supposed "contract" rate on the labor, you'd better just get ready to PAY. You'd be better off making sure there's an HVAC guy in your family! I can buy the parts cheaper than they supposedly can! CFS ate up FWHarris, our original installer, and they were great. I would LOVE to find an honest HVAC company that will charge me fairly and not a "book" rate. They tried to tell me I got a deal because they could have charged me $200.00 more! As a result of his exceptional customer service, honesty and knowledge, I requested and received a very fair quote and had my new unit installed that following day. The service technicians were quality individuals through and through and could not have been any nicer and respectful of me and my home. Once the work was complete, my old unit was removed and they swept and cleaned the inside floor and my back yard patio. Thea, the owner / service manager, came out to inspect our AC system and immediately noticed something dangerous: the previous installer had set up the outdoor disconnect without a fuse, which is a major safety issue. Because of that, the wiring had burned and nearly made its way into the house. T patiently explained everything to me--what went wrong, why it was dangerous, and what the proper setup should be. He recommended replacing the disconnect with a fused version, and clearly laid out the potential risks and what to expect. When we turned the system back on, we were holding our breath... and to our relief, the 10-year-old compressor kicked on just fine. T could have easily told me I needed a whole new unit, but instead, he was honest, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable. I even looked up everything he explained afterward--and it all checked out. By the way, the communication was excellent--I reached out through Yelp and was kept in the loop with email reminders and messaging right through the app. Everything felt smooth and professional from start to finish. In the attached photos, you can see the burnt wiring and connector from before, and the new fused disconnect they installed. The difference is night and day. If you want HVAC work done right, by people who take the time to do things safely and explain them clearly, TC HVAC Services is the team to call. I thought the cost for the service was very fair, and I'm really glad I found them.

When I replaced my HVAC system 3 years ago, I made the mistake of not going with Brennan's then. And as soon as the previous contractor flaked on the follow-up service, I knew who to call. Ever since then, Brennan's has done what a good HVAC company should do. They remind you when you are ready for a seasonal system check. They even make a point of giving you the same tech, so you are getting a knowledgeable person at your home. When I commented that I'm not getting great air flow to the 2nd floor, he checked all the dampers in the basement, and we found the one that was limiting air flow to the top floor. He labeled every damper so if I wanted to manage it differently down the road, I'd know what to do. When I commented about another problem (non-HVAC) he gave me a great recommendation of who to call. I appreciate Brennan's because they value the Customer, and they truly understand what good service looks like. In today's day & age, that is a rare commodity.
