Coils were rusted, leaking, and coolant low. Which caused my could to freeze up. So now it's time for a new HVAC. I had 3 quotes from Edwards and 2 other companies. Company #1 prices were really high for a whole new system, and that's after my Costco discounts. In which I almost paid, but realized, "No" I'm must check out 2 other companies. Just because its through Costco doesn't mean it's the best deal. After a week of waiting, now they have a new promotion which took off another $1500. Good sales marketing, which brought it to a more manageable #, but too late for them. So Company #2 was cheaper than company #1 for basically the same thing. So after having a good experience with Edwards a couple years ago I remembered to give them a shot. Glad I did. They only suggested I replace my AC portion and not the furnace/blower since it seems to be in food shape, and could last another 5 years at least. Doing this saves me at least $3400. Edwards and company #2 also suggest to move outdoor condenser out from under the deck since the size is bigger and will get better air circulation. scheduled for 4 days later, they came bright and early. Now I did get a Heil installed rather than Trane with Edwards, while company 1 and 2 both quoted Lennox which does cost more. But to start at 12,200 and go-to $4400 is a huge difference. After watching Edwards take apart my old coil I looked in and saw that the water could not have dripped down into the electrical board. In which company #1 said. Made sense but again Company 1 had a salesmen come out and that's all he does. He probably has never actually worked on unit before. Didn't even test it out like Edwards did. My blower was still working fine.2 End of day they did a great job and saved me $8000. Will use them for all my needs from here on out... Trusted them twice, why go elsewhere... read more

I was happy with their responsiveness. I didn't tell them, but I was wanting a second opinion on the workings of my furnace, another company recommended a very expensive heat exchanger replacement or completely new furnace. They looked over the furnace and could not recommend any fixes saving me thousands. read more

I called them about my furnace not starting, and was greeted by a very polite and friendly dispatcher. Got my appointment quickly, and since their technician was in my area, they offered to stop by the same day. The technician arrived on time, and was super helpful and nice. Fixed my issue, and advised on what to look out for in future. Not upselling anything, very open and upfront. Looking forward to doing business with them again. read more

Once more without hesitating I called Edwards Air. Upon turning on my furnace I noticed a strange noise- waited until morning time to hear if it was still happening and sure enough, it was. Called Edwards Air and left a message. Immediately after I received a call from Shawn who swiftly added me to their schedule. Within hours I had the guys come over and asses my furnace. I'm very thankful to have found them as there aren't many companies who care for their customers as they do. As my previous message: I would not go with any another company- they are the guys to call! read more

Do NOT use them if you need them to fix your a/c. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR PTO. They do not call back or respond to messages but have time to post about cats to the business Facebook page. They seemed great at first. We just moved here in July and the thermostat stopped working after painting the wall it was on. So we asked a neighbor we just met if they knew anyone and Edwards Air was recommended. The reviews looked great. They were helpful in getting us a new thermostat under warranty for us to install on Monday. Once we got home it did not work and realized it was a more advanced problem with our Trane system. I called to schedule an appointment when we realized the new thermostat didn't work. I was off Wednesday and asked if they had availability. Shawn said the best she could do was Thursday morning but she might be able to get her crew to come Wednesday after a job and she wouldn't know till Wednesday. Shawn said she would call me on Wednesday and let me know if it would be Wednesday or Thursday. I waited until 4pm Wednesday and decided to call. She said she'd let me know by 5:30-6pm and that maybe Jimmy would come by Thursday morning. I never heard from them again. My husband stayed home from work just in case Jimmy showed up Thursday. We called and left multiple messages. They never showed or called. My husband wasted a day off. I was even honestly worried that someone was injured or something happened to not call back given how great they were initially. This is a husband/wife team so that could happen. I even went on their Facebook page to see if they left any information as to why they didn't call back. Apparently she has time to post about cats that have the same names as them but not a minute to call us back. So yeah definitely not injured or sick. At least give us the curtesy to say hey we are busy or your job is on the bottom of our list and we can't get to you until this date. Very unprofessional to not even write back or call...and it's been over two weeks and nothing...not a word. After wasting a week trying to use Edwards Air we called All Tech Services. They were great and actually call back and show up. http://www.alltechservicesinc.com read more

Like it says Woohoo, As Good As It Gets! These Guys are great. Fast same day service, No extra charges, Found the problem FAST and fixed it right away. No up-sell, no hassle, didn't bother me about my unit being over 20 years old. They just fixed my problem and kept me cool and working. I will definitely be calling Edwards Air from now on. It is hard to find truly capable service and repair folks these days but this crew is the real deal, from answering the phone to fixing the unit the whole team worked together to help me out. Thanks read more

From the front office to the field techs, all around great people and great service. I've been through quite a few techs in the area, big and small. There's a reason I'm ripping up my previous vendor cards and writing a yelp review for these guys. Classic, customer-service business. I'm a fan. read more

I was nearly brought to tears this morning, completely flabbergasted by the kindness, generosity, trust, courteousness, and uncompromising integrity of Edwards Air. I had the good fortune of meeting Shawn and Jamie Edwards and Jimmy in June of 2004. They were the HVAC company that was utilized at a company I used to work for. Right off the bat, I knew they were good people. I started utilizing their services for my home in 2004. Over the years, these folks have proven time and time again, that they are not only excellent at what they do, but also kind, and FAIR TO A FAULT! There have been at least three occasions where they didn't even charge us a service call! They fixed things and just said, no charge. This morning, Jimmy and Jamie put 1/2 pound of freon in one of my units and they didn't charge me for that, or the service call. You see, they know that soon they will be doing more for us. This is trust! This is kindness! This is a company that truly cares about their customers and their hometown. If you need work done, there is no one else you should call. These folks are simply the best and I am in awe. read more

A rare find. Good honest people who aren't out to just take your money. Shawn took the time to help me troubleshoot over the phone and actually got the system started again. When it happened a second time she did the same thing while setting up an appointment to check out the recurring problem. Jimmy came out and checked the system. Initial inspection only found a minor problem, but my bill is on hold until he is sure that did the trick. They were referred to me by a friend and I couldn't be happier. read more

Edwards Air is a trustworthy, reliable company that I will call again and again. They came highly recommended by my favorite plumber Cliff, with Sanders Plumbing, and he was sure right about them. They are responsive, flexible, reasonably priced and so honest about the "needs to be done" work, versus the "nice to be done" expensive work that another company might try to sell you on. They are a true gem in the household services market. I recommend them for all of your heating and cooling system needs. read more

We noticed that the upstairs A/C unit in our home did not seem to be able to get the temperature down according to the plan we used in our programmable thermostat and called Edwards Air largely due to the recommendation of a neighbor. They listened to my description of the symptoms and made a recommendation that would save me money for unnecessary system replacement at this time. This was a recommendation that was well worth following. I have placed they company magnet in a prominent place on the refrigerator and will be calling them again in the future (when needed). read more

I discovered Edwards Air when I was searching Yelp for a place to service my heat pump. They came over and had the problem resolved with 30 minutes. The gentleman was very friendly and charged me a fair price. It's been about three weeks and my heat pump is still working properly. The only reason 4 stars instead of five is because they did not arrive at the scheduled time. They did call saying they would be about 15 minutes late but they were actually 45 minutes late. They deserve 4.5 but that's not an option. If you need work on your air unit you need to give Edwards Air a call. read more

I don't think I can fully put into words exactly how good of an experience I had with Edwards Air. I found their info here on Yelp and I could not be happier with calling them to repair my AC. Shawn was an absolute joy to talk with. She was courteous, helpful, and called me back when she said she would. She scheduled the appointments, kept me in the loop on ordering parts, answered my non-technical questions, promptly informed me of any changes, and was pretty much awesome the whole time. Jamie and Jimmy (the technicians) were simply amazing as well -- two good-humored, hometown guys that put my wife and I immediately at-ease. Every step they took was fully explained. If I had a question (and there were a few), they not only gave me the answer, they explained, in detail, the "why." At no point did I feel in-the-dark about anything they were doing. The AC fix was quick, efficient, and reasonably priced. Needless to say, we loved working with them from the very beginning. We'll definitely be recommending them every opportunity we get. read more

I called Edwards on Friday to have someone come out to unclog my drain line for the HVAC unit in the basement. Shawn gave me a few things to try on my own. I thought I had it fixed, but noticed water on the floor around the unit on Sunday. I called them back this morning and scheduled an appointment. Jimmy and Jamie arrived on time, fixed the problem and cleaned my electric filter. Then, to my amazement, they told me there was no charge. They told me that they really didn't do all that much and it took just a few minutes. This is the kind of service that restores my faith in service companies. This is how to run a business, earn a lifelong customer and, best of all, get referrals from those to whom you provide excellent service. I would recommend them for any heating/AC needs. You have my thanks and my business from now on. read more

We've known Edwards Air for years. I've known the commercial side through work since 1999, and they've done work at my house for just as long. Most recently, they replaced both my indoor and outdoor units. The work was done quickly, and they were extremely reasonable. Jamie and Jimmy were a pleasure to work with, and Shawn kept us informed throughout the entire process. Everything went seamlessly, and we couldn't be happier! We can't recommend Edwards Air highly enough! read more

My limit switch kept tripping. My previous HVAC company came and said that it was a hole in the heat exchanger but wanted to replace the entire unit. I called Edwards Air and they came the next morning, verified that the unit was under warranty, and replaced it. They initially quoted me a price but called me to say that the job would take less time than expected so the price would be cheaper than the initial quote. Good honest people, look no further! read more

Jamie and Jimmy came out to my house on time as scheduled last Monday and they were so friendly but yet professional. Recharged the refrigerant and AC unit was able to cool down the house. Yesterday, my AC wasn't working again, and when I called this morning, they were able to came out to my house in the afternoon and found the problem quickly. This time, the contactor had to be replaced and now AC is back on business. Thanks to their quick service, I am able to enjoy the cool house in this sweltering hot day. Love these guys. read more

This is easily the most honest and upfront service I have ever worked with before. They gave me an honest assessment of my a/c situation and options. By far the best service contractor I have ever dealt with. I have been a customer of Edwards Air for several years due to the honesty and integrity of the staff. A couple of specific things to note: 1) The individual who accepts the incoming service calls is very knowledgeable and will take the time to walk you through a preliminary diagnosis of the problem to determine if a service call is needed. 2) The technicians will not try and upsell repairs as most other companies will. The Goodman A/C Units (builder grade) on my house are admittedly low caliber units - however Edwards was honest and did not try to get me to replace the units. The biggest issue has been the capacitors and Edwards showed me how to replace them and where to order them in the future! 3) They have a strong network of trustworthy service companies in the area that maintain the same level of customer integrity. I cannot state how highly I recommend this company. read more

I loooooove Edwards Air! I recently returned from a trip to find my a/c completely dead. I called this company because of all the excellent Yelp reviews and found a bonanza of efficient and competent people. The kind and gracious Shawn who runs the office spent much time on the phone suggesting tactics to restart the unit in order get me through until Jimmy could come out the next day. He had the problem fixed in no time; checked the system; gave me a discount; and showed me ways to trouble-shoot in case other problems ever came up. Such honest and nice people giving excellent service at reasonable prices!! After previously experiencing the FH Furr ripoff service, I am so relieved to find the great staff at Edwards Air. read more

We had our Furnace go out during one of the freezes. Called our Home Warranty Program, waited a few days for their recommended plumber to come out. When they came out told us the whole system needed to be replaced and that the warranty program wouldn't cover because we didn't have regularly maintenance programs and that the filter was dirty. Also, would take a few days more to get parts and fix, through the next 0 deg drop. sorry was their comment. really... Used Yelp to find someone local for another opinion. Found Edwards Air. What a different story. They showed up the same day, said the draft motor was at the end of its lifecycle (14-15 yrs) and just needed to be replaced. Told me that a filter would never cause the system to fail. Also, stated that the 'maintenance' plan was a crock but sounds really good. He had the part brought over while they prepared the system and had me back up and running within 3 hours, start to finish. Also best part... price was $230 total. Much better than the thousands the other guy wanted. I have a new found friend and will use them for all my future AC/Furnace needs! read more

I can not say enough good things about these guys! They walked me through every step and even helped on a couple of items that I had questions on outside of the scope of the call. I had been trying to get my heat fixed by someone else for two weeks and I was running out of time. I have two go out of town for work for two weeks for work and no one would be home to try to keep the house warm while I was gone. Since my heating system wasn't working, I had been using electric heaters to keep warm. I called Edwards the day before Thanksgiving and I explained my problem to them. The one specific part that I was most likely was going to need had to be ordered and shipped. They had it before they came to inspect my heating system just in case they needed it. It took a lot of effort and time but they were able to get my heating system operational again so that I didn't have to worry about my house freezing up and bursting pipes while I was gone. Also I think their fees were very reasonable. I will definitely use them again in the future. read more

We will only use Edwards Air! They are reasonable, prompt, polite, knowledgable and most important, honest!

Ok, I don't review that often, but I can not pass this one up. First, if you live inside the beltway, don't get your hopes up, as they typically won't, and don't need to waste their time in our chaotic traffic. We were lucky as they were up this way on a special project and able to help us out, but typically don't come up this way. This small company is a rare gem. We had the fancy "waver" company quote us over $16,000 for a "needed" whole house system. We had another company tell us the same, but at about half the price of the "waver". I was surprised that we needed a brand new system as our current system was purchase through Home Depot 12 years ago and was top of the line. H.D. Used the "waver" company as the sub-contractor to install the system. We were surprised that after only 12 years we would need a complete new system. Luckily we were able to get Edwards Air to come and diagnose our system. After dealing with Shawn, the gem who takes the calls, and dealing with Jimmie and Jamie, we are set to go with two replacements parts and installation at around $600. If you are within their service area, consider yourself very lucky if you need HVAC repair! Thank you so much, Shawn, Jimmie and Jamie. You are the mark of excellence of a winning business model !! read more
