This is my second time using BlueStar and I have nothing but amazing things to say about them. The…read morefirst time they fixed my furnace which had build up on a sensor which was an easy fix. John came out and was very straight forward and up front with everything he did. He explained the issue to me, how he would fix it, and even provided some recommendations I may want to do in the future. My second time I used Bluestar was on a Sunday and they are closed on Sunday's. I did not realize this at first and left them a voicemail in the morning. Realizing they were closed I called another company who would have charged me more than Bluestar to come out later that afternoon to look at the problem which was that my Nest Thermostat was giving an E73 error code meaning it was not getting power. To my surprise I received a call from John at Bluestar that afternoon prior to the other HVAC company coming out. I discussed my thermostat issue not getting power with John and he suggested several troubleshooting fixes I could try over the phone. After eliminating several causes of what the problem may be John suggested holding down the front panel cover switch to the unit to see if a power light was coming on. In doing this I noticed sometimes the light would come on and sometimes it would not. There seemed to be a loose connection in the a wire that was causing the switch not to supply power. After playing with the switch for a few minutes I got the power to stay on and the problem was fixed. John solved my problem and saved me a good deal of money as I canceled my appointment with the other HVAC company. John took over 20 minutes talking to me on the phone going above an beyond to help me solve my AC issue on the day the company is closed. I would highly recommend BluStar to anyone and will use them for all my future HVAC needs.

Then during the last visit of a scheduled maintenance contract, our previous HVAC company gave us a doom-and-gloom assessment of the furnace. At 35 years old, that wasn't a surprise, but we got a hard sell that made it sound like we were endangering our lives (we weren't). We had them quote for the replacement, but the pushy sales tactics and fear mongering didn't sit right with me, also not the first time they'd done that, and I reached out to AirMasters for a quote as well. What a difference! Michele is friendly and helpful on the phone, and Pete came out to do the quote. He was extremely thorough and talked us through the various options available to us, such as variable and single speed compressors. Price wise they were also the most competitive offer for the same Trane system. No high pressure tactics or fear mongering (and no incessant phone calls to re-up for maintenance contracts). Pete and Mike did the install. They did an excellent job, and the system innards and ducting and all that look great. Michele is great to deal with on the phone, and handled the registration paperwork. Since then, we have our maintenance plan in place, and twice a year either Pete or Mike comes by to check out our system. We would highly recommend AirMasters, and are looking to use them to replace our water heater when the time comes, and any future HVAC needs.

However, it is now June 24 and no one has returned to complete the repair. Nearly two weeks later, we are still waiting with no resolution and no meaningful communication or follow-up. As first-time customers, this experience has been very disappointing. We have two young children, and during this time we have been dealing with an uncomfortably hot home while waiting for the promised repair. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through has made this a frustrating and unprofessional experience
