I can't recommend TC HVAC Services enough. They quite literally may have saved my house from burning down. Thea, the owner / service manager, came out to inspect our AC system and immediately noticed something dangerous: the previous installer had set up the outdoor disconnect without a fuse, which is a major safety issue. Because of that, the wiring had burned and nearly made its way into the house. T patiently explained everything to me--what went wrong, why it was dangerous, and what the proper setup should be. He recommended replacing the disconnect with a fused version, and clearly laid out the potential risks and what to expect. When we turned the system back on, we were holding our breath... and to our relief, the 10-year-old compressor kicked on just fine. T could have easily told me I needed a whole new unit, but instead, he was honest, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable. I even looked up everything he explained afterward--and it all checked out. By the way, the communication was excellent--I reached out through Yelp and was kept in the loop with email reminders and messaging right through the app. Everything felt smooth and professional from start to finish. In the attached photos, you can see the burnt wiring and connector from before, and the new fused disconnect they installed. The difference is night and day. If you want HVAC work done right, by people who take the time to do things safely and explain them clearly, TC HVAC Services is the team to call. My HVAC unit was not cooling. We were in a heat dome and it was HOT ! TC was quick to answer and came out right away. Unfortunately they found the compressor was done. The unit was dated so they recommended a new HVAC system. Their prices are reasonable and close to what others proposed. Though I did not buy my system from them - (I accepted a slightly better quote from a competitor)- they were super helpful and quick to help. 5 stars ! This was the 2nd time we called TC HVAC for our AC unit, and once again we received excellent service. The first time our compressor fan stopped spinning. TC came out and replaced the fan, and got us back to cooling. This time around our unit just wasn't cooling. We called TC , he told us he was out of the area but he could have his partner Alonzo come out and take a look. Alonzo came out, diagnosed the problem, explained what was wrong, and resolved the issue. Which was we needed refrigerant. He loaded it up and got us back to cooling. We have been using TC for about a year now for regular service and maintenance to our HVAC. I initially found him via Yelp and he was the only one who was able to fit us in during the first heat wave last year. He is very thorough in explaining everything as well as what to expect in the future services. He reaches out ahead of time to schedule service for winter and summer to make sure everything is working properly. Had a double whammy in one day because the drain pipe for the AC was flooding inside and tripping the shutoff. Was able to come out right away to fix it and even helped clean up the area. He even made a special trip out in the same day around dinner time when our compressor went out. Gave me the options of what could happen and what we should do. He isn't trying to sell us on things we don't need and even working on quoting us on a AC replacement since our unit is so old and has had issues for the past year. I have an older system that needed the refrigerant topped up on after nearly twenty years of use. Unlike others that I called, he didn't pressure me to put in a new system immediately. He was forthright and honest, warned me that I may need to replace within a few years if it leaks again (am okay with that). His prices were much less than others quoted and he didn't pressure me for unnecessary work. Was careful, neat and explained to me what he was doing every step of the way. TC HVAC came to diagnose my AC not working. They concluded I had a bad circuit board on the main unit and quoted $850 for replacement. The next day I got a second opinion. The other company found unplugged wires and wires connected in the wrong way in two locations. When they changed the wires, the AC came on and blower operates correctly. They said that the circuit board TC HVAC quoted actually costs about $100. I reached out to TC HVAC about all of this and received no response whatsoever. I thought they would offer my $80 visit fee back but nope. I can't prove that TC HVAC changed my wires to try to get a huge repair service but the second company thought this was probably the case. At best, TC HVAC are terrible technicians who can't diagnose wiring. How could the unit have run well last week with bad wiring anyway? read more

I found them on Yelp. They came out because my AC wasn't working. When they got there what they needed to look at was frozen and they were going to change me additional to stay to defrost it to even see what the problem was. He said it may need Freon but couldn't tell because it was frozen. Then he said it's best to replace the whole system because it was old and probably the original. I did not like that he was pushing a system replacement when he couldn't even tell what the issue was because it was frozen. A system replacement is like $6,000. I need someone to be absolutely sure what the problem is before they start pushing system replacements. I felt like he was hustling me to go with a system replacement so I paid the service fee and called someone else. It only needed Freon and has been working ever since. read more

We also asked for advice about how to regulate the temperature on the top floor of our house and he suggested a low-tech, inexpensive i Tikal solution as well as a slightly more costly, scanning solution.
