They took a job this summer to remove an old chimney and repair my roof. Got the quote, my signature and 50% down immediately. Then I waited 6 weeks. It was summer so that was OK, I know they had bigger jobs. But then the problems started. The roofer did a poor job. He dropped chimney bricks in my 3rd floor which broke a hole in a 2nd floor ceiling. Said he took photos to the owner and they would call to fix it. NOTHING. Waited a month. Finally had to get someone else to fix it. Then I started getting all kinds of water in the 3rd floor which was causing ceiling damage in the 2nd floor. Went to talk to them. The owner was arrogant and rude and bascially said it wasnt their fault but they would come look at it. Waited another month. NOTHING. Got a builder contractor to come out and seal up the gaps and holes the roofer left when he did the repair. He did it from the inside of the third floor. I didnt want anyone except Rich touching the roof outside. It still needed to be addressed the right way outside on the roof. One of the owners finally showed up to look at it while I was at work. No followup. No email, no phone call. Weeks...NOTHING. I called the office and the office manager said there were no records and she'd have to talk to him and call me back. Waited days for a return phone call...NOTHING. Called again. Was told she would still have to talk to him. I finally said never mind, you all aren't going to do anything. We're finished. I will find another roofing company despite the fact that this is on you. Then I got rudeness and excuses. Net..they don't have enough people, you will wait forever, some of their people can't do a good job, and once you pay the bill they will never followup on anything that is their fault. If you try they will be rude and nasty to you and ignore you. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.

They have been working for 3 days now and seem to be replacing probably ¼ of my roof. We'll see how it goes, but so far I'm happy with the way things are going. Adjusting my rating. NOT happy so far. We got a new roof by Schaefer in 2021 because of leaks and we have had 3 leaks so far since our new roof. We just now discovered our 3rd. We're going to get a 3rd party inspection done and then possibly explore legal options. They were the highest bid, but we went with them because we thought they would do a good job (from past experience).

The day comes and goes. He texts the following day the traffic was too bad. He'll be there soon, but a flat tire post pones that. Clears the driveway in 20 min, then states the initial charge is always $150. Get everything in writing before hiring.
