It did take a while for our computer to get fixed but let me tell you it was so worth the wait but majority of the time was waiting for parts. We had a hp omen and took it to a different shop at first and had them put the guts of the omen into the new case so I could put a bigger liquid cooler in. Then that shop started telling me that they couldn't get the liquid cooler to work with the hp omens motherboard. So they sold me one of the motherboards they had and put it in. When I got it home it was reaching super high temperatures and sounded like a jet the whole time it was on. That computer shop did a horrible job and sold me a bad motherboard. When Jeff got into the computer he confirmed that the motherboard they sold me was bad. I regret us taking it to another computer shop and not just going to Jeff. Jeff was very understanding with what we wanted and what had happened. When jeff got into the computer we decided we wanted him to put everything into a new case and put in a different liquid cooler. When Jeff opened the computer up the whole thing was pretty much bad (not Jeff's doing though). The parts we ended up getting was a new case for more airflow (NZXT H7 Flow - CM-H71FB-01 - ATX Mid Tower PC Gaming Case), a bigger liquid cooler (NZXT - Kraken Z73 RGB 360MM Liquid Cooling System), a new power supply because the one I had the cables were to short to reach everything (NZXT C850 PSU (2022) - PA-8G1BB-US - 850 Watt PSU - 80+ Gold Certified ), four fans (NZXT AER RGB 2 - HF-28140-B1 - 140mm), led strips (NZXT Underglow Accessory, AH-2UGKK-A1, Two 300mm RGB LED Strips), and then I changed from AMD motherboard to a intel motherboard. The new one is NZXT - Z590 (Socket LGA 1200) USB 3.2 Intel Motherboard with Wifi. The processor we bought is a Intel - Core i9-11900K 11th Generation - 8 Core - 16 Thread - 3.5 to 5.3 GHz - LGA1200. Jeff communicated with us about everything and was very patient with us when ordering parts. He takes his time with his work and cares about everything he does including wire management. Jeff also helped carry the computer and parts to the car because my boyfriend could not lift due to having surgery a week prior. I can not express how thankful we are to Jeff for getting the computer fixed and how caring he is. He texted after we got it home to make sure we weren't having any problems and that we were satisfied. 10/10 would recommend PC ParaMedix to everyone. From now on I will always bring my computer to Jeff. Do not take you computer anywhere else but Jeff (especially flux they don't care about there work or customers). His work is worth every penny and the time we had to wait was worth it.

Didn't like being out on the road and having the GPS go out, so my wife recommended trying this little shop located within the Meijer in Camby. When we arrived, we hit the dinger bell to let them know we were at the counter. We were greeted and were told they didn't have my type of battery in stock. We were given an estimated time for when it should be available and the price for parts. They have a standard rate per hour for repairs and were given an estimate for that as well. Unfortunately, the battery didn't ship on time and we were delayed. I also didn't notice they are closed on Sundays, so that visit was a "no go", but I simply didn't see the small sign with their hours on the counter. When the replacement battery came in, we were told they suspected it had a defect because it took a long time to charge. It seemed to work okay, but they were going to get another battery to replace the replacement and there would be not additional charge. Finally, I was able to drop it off when we got the notice the new battery was available. Everything seems to be working okay, though I noticed this new battery still takes a long time to charge. It does seem to hold the charge though, so I am not 100% sold that everything is working perfectly. I got the impression that the individual who worked on my phone understood the problem, but wasn't certain why the charging issue had sprung up. If I have a problem that isn't something I can easily adjust to, then I will take it back for one more try. I think they are trying their best to be helpful, but I seriously don't know how anyone can keep up with all the technological changes and upgrades. They are small staffed, so the turn around on repairs may take longer than you would like, but I prefer it to work the first time, not just get it back and then have problems. Review #3800

It was odd having to go into an apartment instead of a shop but as soon as I got to know Mr. Patel all my worries vanished. You may remember a few years back here in Indy when Computer Renaissance seemed set to be a…read moremini-chain of computer repair and sales stores. Somewhere along the way, certain folks involved in the project parted ways with a Castleton location becoming what I believe is now called Computer Express and this location on Pendleton Pike laying claim to the actual Computer Renaissance name. I'd had a not terrific experience with the Castleton location and also with another small computer store in the Castleton area, so the first time I popped into this store 3-4 years ago I was more than a little hesitant. I was preparing to head out on the road and would be traveling a couple hundred miles by wheelchair. I wanted a laptop that would endure and allow me to stay in touch with folks while on the road. Even though it was only a few days before I left, the folks at Computer Renaissance hooked me up with a fairly priced used Dell laptop along with a wireless adapter. They gave me a great deal on a computer that lasted for quite awhile. They answered all my questions and got me all set up for the road. Early this morning, my monitor died and I was in the middle of a pretty important project. So, I headed back to Computer Renaissance to see what kind of a deal I could find on a new or used monitor. Computer Renaissance is located in Sunnyside Shoppes in one of several strip centers in the area. It's easily visible from Pendleton Pike an even has an accessible parking spot with a ramp right in front of it. You go into their double doors and there's a service counter to the left and a showroom with mostly used models on the floor along with all the usual ancillary supplies one usually finds in a computer store including monitors, keyboards, motherboards, etc. Computer Renaissance carries desktops, laptops, notebooks, etc. They do computer repair in store or they will do housecalls ($50 for a service call, $85 for the first hour). HP, Dell and Lenovo Business-Grade laptops start at $199 (Lenovo actually starts at $149). The have Windows 10 Pro Desktops starting at $399 and Windows 10 Pro Business-Grade Desktops starting at $199. I saw an IMac 2 for right around $349 tonight (I was way tempted) and I can easily say they have something to fit just about any budget. You always want to check their website as they're usually running specials and sometimes you need to mention it to get it (for example, they have a winter special - 15% of all used desktops, 10% off all used laptops, but you have to mention the special. While the monitor that died on me was an HD monitor, I wasn't necessarily concerned about buying another one right away. They had a couple of brand new, in the box HD monitors. I've noticed that their new products do tend to run at market rates. Instead, I opted to look for a wider-screen monitor. Tonight, the widest they had was 20" - they had two ready to go and I found one that seemed perfect. It ran $59 plus tax. Most of their used monitors are rated by screen size. The prices, I've found, are fair but also reflect the fact that they do serious quality control on their merchandise. I trust these guys to not sell me junk. So far, I've not been disappointed. They added in the cables I'd need, which I think is pretty good since we're talking about used products here. One of the employees even carried it to the car for me. They take cash and credit (with ID - and they do ask for it). They do not take checks. If you're on a budget or in a time crunch, Computer Renaissance does quality work at fair prices for both selling of equipment and computer repair. While I've not had a computer repaired there, a friend has and her experience was similar to mine. They're always friendly, willing to answer questions, can typically handle rush repairs and don't try to upsell just to make a bigger profit. I'm happy and I'll definitely keep going back.
