I bring Carlos in for a general groom and she comes back looking fresh and they do a fantastic job thinning out her coat. I like that they don't put her in a kennel when she is finished with her groom, but instead, she hangs out in a living type room with toys, doggie beds and a couch. She gets to socialize with other dogs too. I used their boarding services as well. They take their guests home with them and treat them like family. I love that I can trust them with Carlos-it is an awesome feeling to know when not in my care, she is in the loving care of the men and women of Winter Park Pet Villa.

Unfortunately, this is not a business I can recommend if you have specific grooming instructions…read morefor your dog. Our Irish Setter has been groomed here multiple times, yet the services have consistently felt lazy and inconsistent. Most recently, the grooming job was extremely poor, as shown in the photos. Despite our dog having an established "file" and us communicating our instructions directly to the groomer, we were later told it was still our responsibility to ensure everything was explained again. After we called to express our concerns, they asked us to send photos as evidence of the grooming. Following an investigation and conversations with both the owner and store manager, they admitted the groom was not up to their standards and apologized, which we did appreciate. What was disappointing, however, was the resolution they offered. Instead of refunding the service, they offered a discount on a future appointment. That felt presumptuous, considering this experience left us with little confidence in trusting them to groom our dog again. They also mentioned that, if we returned, they would make sure a groomer who "specializes in setters" handled him next time. This was frustrating to hear because our dog has been groomed there multiple times already, and that option was never previously mentioned.

Whisker Park took him in without an appointment, right before closing, and handled the whole thing with genuine warmth and empathy. The facility is immaculate and clearly designed with cats in mind. The staff -- especially Mimi and Beth -- went above and beyond to make Caspian feel at home, even accommodating his somewhat particular eating schedule without any fuss. We also took advantage of their grooming services: Caspian got a full groom and dematting, and he's been moving so much more comfortably since. He seemed completely at ease, which tells me everything. We're already planning to bring him back for his next grooming. Rates are very reasonable, and there are bundle discounts if you're combining boarding and grooming, plus a rewards program for returning guests. Whisker Park has earned a customer for life

There is also a window that lets you get a glimpse of one of the play areas. Unlike some other daycares that are so secretive of what goes on behind the back, I like the level of transparency Houndtown provides. Although I wish they had cameras either in the daycare area or in the townhomes. I had so much anxiety leaving my dog but I'm glad that they provide lots photos everyday (except Sunday only 1 was provided, I asked for more in their FB group and my request was ignored.) this can be improved especially with pets that are being boarded. I'm also bummed they don't provide a report like other places, I wanted to know how my dog behaved, if he ate, who he played with, etc. I guess I won't know. My friend ended up picking up my dog since our flight arrived late at night or else I would have asked. Overall it's better than other options in the area and it's clean and not as crowded.
