I had a very disappointing experience at this location. I brought my Pomeranian, Sophie, in for a bath because one of the main reasons I pay for professional grooming is to have her properly dried. I was told to come back in 45 minutes. When I returned, I was informed that they were unable to dry her because she was being aggressive and could bite. I completely understand that employee safety comes first, and I would never expect anyone to put themselves at risk. However, I believe they should have called me as soon as they realized they could not complete the service, instead of waiting until I arrived and handing my dog back to me completely soaking wet. Sophie is a Pomeranian with a double coat, and I was not comfortable taking her home in that condition. I asked for a solution, and they only gave me a towel. I then had to go to the Pet Supermarket at the corner, where the staff kindly helped me dry her. I truly appreciate their kindness because they solved a problem they did not create. I paid $50, and in the end, I feel that all I received was a bath. If my dog was going to be returned to me soaking wet and I had to depend on another business to finish the job, I could have simply bathed her myself at home. What concerns me most is that if they are unable to complete a service because of a dog's behavior, the owner should be notified immediately and the situation should be handled fairly. I hope this is not their usual way of handling situations like this, because customers deserve clear communication and a reasonable solution. I am attaching photos showing how Sophie was returned to me, how she looked after she was properly dried, and my receipt. My biggest disappointment was not simply that they were unable to finish the service. It was the lack of communication, the lack of a reasonable solution, and the fact that I paid for a visit that left me having to go somewhere else to finish the job. Where do I even start. I had a 9:15 appointment this morning for a full grooming. I arrived right before my appointment, and the receptionist told me it was only scheduled for a nail trim and basic services. I let them know that wasn't correct. I had come in the week before to confirm, and they told me it was a full grooming at 9:15. The receptionist then said they had confirmed the appointment with me the day prior, which is not true. I never received any call or message confirming services. The only confirmation I had was when I physically walked in the week before and was told it was a full grooming. They then said they didn't have time for a full grooming and asked me to come back at 12:30. I adjusted my day, came back, and dropped my dog off. When they messaged that he was ready, I went to pick him up and he was only half groomed. His body was shaved, but his face was completely untouched. His paws weren't trimmed, his tail wasn't done, and overall he looks completely unfinished. He even has bald patches all over his body. Instead of fixing it, they asked me to come back again the next day to finish the job. That's unacceptable. The quality of work was extremely poor, and the experience overall was frustrating from start to finish. To make matters worse, they still charged me full price. I didn't receive any follow up, no apology, and no effort from management to make this right. My dog is a Goldendoodle. He is trained and does not behave badly. He is a traveler and goes everywhere with our family. So blaming him for being uncooperative is beyond me. We have never had any issues with his behavior at other groomers. This is a lack of accountability for untrained groomers. I took pictures of Oliver that morning before I went to work and have attached them for reference to show what he looked like then compared to how he looked that evening. The difference is horrific. Anyone who loves their dog will understand my frustration. I will not be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone looking for a groomer to stay away from this place. Now I'm stuck waiting months for my dog's coat to grow back, and he doesn't even look like himself. I'm so heartbroken. read more

I have been a member for years and I'm done with this place. They used to have actual groomers and now they must be hiring clowns! I cannot verbalize how pissed off I am about what they did today. Whoever cut her hair is clearly NOT a groomer! It started with the woman at the front desk trying to drag my dog with a choke collar to the back because she was scared to pick my dog up. We have been going to scent hound for a year now and have had the best experiences there. We tried other groomers but when we brought our dogs home they were upset and slept for days. Since going to scent hound they are not gone long, they go in and right to the reception area and go to the back with no issues. When they come home they are happy and acting normal...so we know our dogs are well taken care of. These people are Literally the worst. Multiple times (the last 3), our dogs smell worse than they did BEFORE we brought them in for​ our monthly, subscription based service and their nails hadn't been trimmed whatsoever. We specifically brought these complaints to the "​manager" FRED on two seperate visits now and absolutely nothing has been addressed. In fact, Fred conveniently went to lunch before we returned to pick our dogs up. When these same complaints were brought up, Amber told me that if I wanted the services that were already paid for (not to mention the add one) that I would need to go somewhere else. We have been a customer for quite some time. Occasionally we would get a decent cut for our doodle, sometimes not that great so we had to bring her in to get whatever could be fixed corrected. I have been a member for more than 3 years and I have always been a happy customer until the management changed recently which reflected in the service. My dog got hurt twice after coming back from grooming. Once his paw was swollen and got infected and he started limping. I took him to the vet for X-rays and antibiotics and after one full month of recovery, he went back to grooming and I specifically explained not to trim his nails and to be careful with his paw. Then after he came back from grooming, I noticed he had blood under his paw (the same one he injured the first time). They never mentioned that something happened during grooming, and we realized when we were driving back home. I called with no replies (both times). The worst part of it is that the manager doesn't take the responsibility and at the least reply to my calls and apologize/take responsibility. read more

Worst and most disgusting groomer we have ever encountered. The returned our silver toy poodle sopping wet (no mention they don't dry the dogs when I called - which is kind of critical for a poodle) and worse, his leg and rear were covered in his own poop. He smelled and was filthy - I dropped him off be clean before a flight we had and he came out having soiled himself in the cage they put him in while he waited over and hour because they "texted" me to pick him up but got 3 digits wrong on the number I gave them. I had to call them to see what the hold up was. They refunded my money but seemed not bothered at all at the condition they returned him to me in. It was disgusting and a disgrace and I had to walk him down to Petsmart to be groomed again - as he was smelly and filthy. Awful, awful and abusive (to my pup) experience. Please do not get your dog groomed here - EVER. I have a 5 month old Pomsky with a double coat (if you see their tab on double coated dogs do not believe it, they have no idea how to take care of one). I came in asking for a bath and blow out, specifically asked for them NOT to use a furminator on my double coated dog and do not use any sort of blade other then a sanitary cut. HALF OF MY DOG IS SHAVED. Her right side is absolutely destroyed. The groomer came out and told me my 5 month of puppy was "nervous" after the blow dryer and said I need to do a better job with brushing. I brush my dog DAILY. Proceeded to try to sell me on a monthly membership which is garbage. Please do not come here if you value your dogs coat. They are awful. read more

I never met the groomer but was checked in by two very unprofessional young ladies who seemed a bit confused I didn't hear from them and after 2 hrs and 45 minutes, returned looking to pick up my dog The groomer came out and I was told she had just begun. Was very pleased with the service my dog received until I saw her scratching her ears. 2 cotton balls popped out. They had been left by the groomer. My dog is fast and ate one before I could get to them. An hour late she threw up her dinner and the cotton ball. I called back to tell the salon what had happened. The sweet girl on the phone said she would leave a message for the manager. I received a call from the manager promptly the next business day. She apologized and said she would "speak to the groomer". Fine. But then she ruined a reasonable customer service call by insinuating I had called to get something free or refunded by asking 'what I wanted her to do for me'? When I said 'nothing', she ended the call. I used to love this company. When I first started going to them a couple of years ago, the prices were great, they did a fantastic job on my dog and I recommended them to everyone. Now however, it is costing me about $80 each time I take my dog for just pretty much the basic cleaning with blowdry, not even a cut. They keep shaving her belly instead of her hiney when I ask for the sanitary trim, and she keeps coming home with knots still in her. Quick and cost effective! I brought my 90 lb Old English Bulldog there to give them a try for routine care. I'll admit I've been very lax when it comes to his grooming and he hates having his nails done. Because of this his nails are longer. They did a great job. He was relaxed when I picked him up and they assured me he was a good boy. I had the worst experience with Scenthound. Every time I tried to make an appointment they were booked for more than a week out. When I signed up for the service they never explained how their system actually worked. They first tell you that you will save money and everything is a 20% discount. What they fail to say is that no matter what you get charged monthly for $29.00. Also they tell you that you can cancel at anytime but once again they fail to tell you that you must give 30 days notice. They don't care about their reputation only the money. They are not customer service friendly and I certainly don't recommend them for anyone. You are much better off with the small independent places who care about customer service. read more
