My friend referred me to Puppylicious, which is a bit of a drive from my home in East Delray Beach but when I say it is worth it, it truly is. The fees are average - not cheap and not overly expensive (a 200lb Newf is already expensive anywhere) but I would consider their fees very fair for the beautiful job they do. I don't like to drive to Broward County for anything to be honest but they made it worth the drive and we're flexible with scheduling and arranging pickup time. The team is extremely kind and very skilled. You can tell they enjoy the company of animals, love what they do and listen to their customers' needs. Xavier leaves feeling so wonderful, because Newfies are truly not built for hot summer climates with their long heavy coat. Paulo and his stylists new exactly what would feel comfy for him and still keep his classic Newfoundland charm (my floofy newfie!) You can tell they're experienced and really care about the animals they work with. One groomer kept her calm with gentle pets and holding while the other did the cut, and they did such a great job. I had her shaved down because part of her fur was getting knotted, but they still shaped up her head and tail beautifully. Her nails were trimmed too! I appreciated the effort they put into creating an enjoyable experience, including sending home adorable report cards about your dog's day. However, I learned this setup might not be the best fit for every dog. They keep dogs in individual kennels during daycare, taking them out periodically for about 45 minutes of playtime in the outdoor yard and for potty breaks. While this may work well for more independent dogs, my dog struggles with being left alone for extended periods and prefers constant interaction with other dogs or staff. Plus, I'm paying for daycare so that my dog can get socialization and playtime as exercise since he's an apartment dog and doesn't get to run around often. Another downside was that you can't see your dog while they're in the kennels--only during their playtime, which felt a bit limiting. My dog also came home smelling strongly of urine, likely because he's not used to being kenneled and may have had an accident due to stress. They do a great job grouping dogs by size, which is reassuring. However, I was disappointed to find that the pool area is geared more toward bigger dogs, while smaller dogs have a splash pad instead, which wasn't what I had hoped for when choosing this daycare. Lastly, I tried calling in the morning to let them know I would be late, but no one answered the phone, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, I think Pet Paradise Coconut Creek could be a great fit for dogs that are more independent and used to being kenneled for parts of the day. Unfortunately, it didn't fully meet my dog's needs, but it's clear they care about the dogs in their care and offer some great perks for the right pups.

Gabriella was the nice young lady that arrived at my complex on time and sent me a few text keeping updated on her ETA prior to arriving. I gave her a bit of information on how I would like my little pup to look and what I was looking for in terms of style. If you have a Yorkie, you know their hair grows super fast! I did ask for her to cut him down as low as possible, keeping his face on the rounded side, she did exactly just that. During the appointment, she texted me a photo of a little scab that was on mu pups ear, to make me aware that was already there and not caused by her. I appreciate it that she took the time to do that, and I had already known about the scab. The appointmentby took about an hour and 15 minutes and when she was done, she alerted me via text. Payment was very simple, as they do accept Zelle. I was very pleased with the outcome, and judging from the look and the action of my pup, I knew he felt comfortable with Gabriella.
