After my car (2007 Honda CR-V) sat at his shop for three weeks, with the repair timeline being moved multiple times, I was finally quoted $730 for the job, including the diagnostic and labor. That sounded fair, so I agreed. However, when I came to pick up the vehicle, I was presented with a final bill of $1,137.29, that's 55.79% more than what we discussed. When I questioned the increase, Omar claimed I had agreed to the new price, which I absolutely did not. A proper quote should reflect the actual cost unless something unexpected comes up, which was not the case here. To make matters worse, I asked him to show proof of the parts pricing, particularly the starter ($425.31), and he refused to provide any documentation. That's a huge red flag for any honest business. Also, the $165 diagnosis fee felt excessive, especially when the problem was already obvious (starter failure). In my experience, this was not a transparent or trustworthy transaction. I cannot recommend Westmount Auto or Omar's services to anyone. If you value honest pricing and clear communication, stay away.

I'm overstimulated at this point so I ask him for Doritos instead. He walks over to the cheetos which are right next to the Doritos (honest case of miscommunication) and he points to a bag, I shake my head. he points to a different bag of cheetos and I shake my head again. we do this a few more times till I decide to point at the bag I want (I try not to point like that, I know it's rude but I was overwhelmed) and hes following my direction for a minute until he he gives up and grabs a random bag of cheetos, I shake my head, but he brings it to the counter and scans it before gesturing for me to pay. I wanted to grab two more things and I really don't like cheetos, but at this point i was standing in the rain after being at the gym and had been doing this for a good ten minute so I pay and leave. it was a really stressful experience and I ended up buying something I didn't want because the guy got frustrated (I get that it was stressful for him but never in the two years that I've lived next to the gas station had he gotten an order right and I am start to feel like it's more than just miscommunication as every other person at that gas station is so sweet and patient and always gets it at least mostly right).

Every time I have a flat and need a tire repair, they've always gotten me in right away and gotten it fixed immediately. Sometimes at no-charge even! My most recent experience was today. On Saturday I got a flat tire in Madden, AB and had to get AMA to come change my tire. I tried to get into Canadian Tire to have them fix it, and they told me the hole was "Too big for the plug" and that I needed to buy a new tire. And they were going to charge me a fortune for it because I have 17" low-profile tires. I took it in to Don this morning and he had a look at it and was able to fix it. I ALWAYS recommend OK tire to my friends and colleagues when they ask me where a good place to buy tires is. Even if they live in Calgary, the quality of service is well worth it.

My landlord recommended this place and he passed it no problem, very honest and didn't try to get more money out if me - told me that there were a few things to watch for in the future but that I didn't need to worry about it for awhile - truly honest service. Also gave me a few calls while the car was there keeping me updated about their progress and findings on my car, and even called me before locking the keys in my car to make sure I had my spare key and could get in when I came to pick it up after they closed. Will be returning here when I need car maintenance / repairs done.

I was given two choices to fix the issue, because of my budget I could only pick one item. I had a 50/50 chance to get it rite. I picked up after the repairs were complete and it was still not fixed, I picked the wrong repair. I was ok with that!! A couple days later somebody called from a third party asking how satisfied I was with the service I received. I told them the same thing and the person said they would have the manager call me to review. Jim from MRI called a me within an hour. I thought he was very rude, he said to me I opted out of the second repair that was proposed and that is why it was still running rough. I felt he trying to pick a fight. I will never go back to MRI !!

I looked around for other shops in my area and MRI had some good reviews. I bit. I never even met Peter before i paid my bill. Between having to take transit to and from work, i did everything over the phone. I asked them to get my vehicle towed from home, and they got it in right away. Had a diagnostic done within a few hours of me getting them everything they needed (had to drop off my old ECU for them to double check). The communication between us was phenomenal and they were able to track down an issue that i would have never found myself. They made me aware of everything they were going to do before they did it and the service was just beyond what i could have hoped for. So yeah. Had to create an account to rave about these guys. Quality service, honest/fast work, and i didn't lose an arm for it.
