I arrived at the gas station minutes before closing but everything was open - no sign of anyone shutting down the gas station: The machine took my credit card, I started filling up and just after the first couple of "drops" of fuel everything went dark... No idea if and what I got charged, and no compassion from staff that I was just in the process of filling up: "come back tomorrow" was the answer I got once they figured out they had interrupted me... I don't think so...

They are open until 10 pm and offer a strange variety of services for a neighbourhood convenience store, including key cutting and dry cleaning. They've never screwed any of our clothes up and they get it back quite quickly. And their prices are reasonable. For smokes, too. Daniel, the owner, is a good man and understands what it takes to run a local convenience store. He's built relationships with a lot of locals and always remembers his customers and what they usually come in for.

Today, I was bringing 3 large slurpees to my poor sister-in-law and her boys. I had them in one of those cardboard trays, but because of the weight, it was a bit wobbly. Ramon to my rescue!! He is always so patient & kind to each of his customers - as if no one else exists on this planet but you. Today was no different. He saw me struggling and kindly packaged each slurpee in a plastic bag he tied at the top to insure the lid wouldn't pop off and gave me a more secure carrier to hold them in. I cannot thank this man enough. The service here is awesome - you're lucky if this is your 7-eleven!

When I go inside, I am always greeted and the staff is so friendly here. Yes, hard to believe for a 7-11 and a gas station! When I go inside I always buy a little treat and it ranges and depends on what I am craving. Always a great selection. Great staff, quick service and conveint location.

Their coffee is a cut above what you'll find at most gas stations, they've got a good selection of junk-food and energy drinks but all this is standard - what makes it a good road-food stop? Better Taquitos? The nacho cheese tastes less like plastic? The hotdog shaped cheeseburger things are less creepy? No. No. And DEFINITELY no. (see picture)... This gas station is the best because it's located directly next to Peter's Drive-In! http://www.yelp.ca/biz/peters-drive-in-calgary While you fill up at the pumps, get your friend/wife/child to run over to Peter's to grab some burgers and milkshakes! Also, Peter's always give you lots of napkins so you can wipe away your high gas price tears.

I was very impressed with Shrey, the store person who attended to me. He was very nice, friendly and showed concerned to his customer. I tried to asked him regarding the Speak Out sim card and he answered my questions to the best he can with the help of his co-worker Roberta. Both Shrey and Roberta are so nice and they are for sure an asset to 7-Eleven. I do hope that the owner of this 7-11 on 37th Street SW will show appreciation to these dedicated employees.

Even if I haven't been back in a month they remember who I am and ask about specifics in my life. Just the other day I was given a free slushie to make up for the wrong flavor the week before. During the stampede everyone, their miniature versions of themselves and their dogs come here after fireworks. They keep up with the crowd really well and are always well stocked.
