Scaventour is a must try for tourist and locals. Our guide was very friendly and very helpful. The puzzles weren't extremely hard but was still challenging. Everyone who does this will have a great time and is excellent for a night out and bonding. We booked a Scaventour with three teams as a work outing and were pleasantly surprised by this fun, all-encompassing game on the streets of Waikiki! Our co-workers are really competitive, so when we formed our teams and met Greg at the starting point, we were primed for an all-out challenge. We've done escape rooms before, but what I really liked about Scaventour was that each member of the team had something to work on and contribute to each zone that you were in. You didn't have to be a math wiz, like some escape rooms in order to be successful. The app that you use during the game was helpful and kept us all on track. We'll be baaack! read more

My family and I love doing escape rooms, so we were going to do one to celebrate my birthday. I came across Scaventour and thought it sounded like fun, so we signed up. We did the Duke's Revenge game and have NO REGRETS! We had a lot of fun, got some exercise while walking around Waikiki, and got to solve puzzles using things already there. If you're looking for something fun to do I would highly recommend this. It kind of felt like we were contestants on the Amazing Race at times and in a breakout room at other times. This is a fun, entertaining family activity option. Definitely a challenge, but we had a great game manager (Jonathan) who explained everything well and made it a blast for us. This is a great alternative to just an escape room, as you are able to be out and about in the beautiful weather. Cannot recommend Scaventour enough. Experienced Scaventour today and it was completely unexpected and an amazingly fun time! There were challenging puzzles to solve, collaborative gameplay with your team, and a little bit of exercise as you play through the sights and sounds of Waikiki. There is no other experience like this on the island. Greg, owner and Game Master, was amazing. He was very communicative from the time of booking all the way through the end of the event. He was vey attentive to the teams and made sure we were on the right track. You can tell he is good at thinking up complex puzzles and that he loves running the games. His wife helped him run our game today and she was super helpful, too. We did Scaventour as a work teambuilding event and everyone enjoyed themselves. I took my Girl Scout troop to play this fun game.....rave reviews from my 13 and 14 year olds! They said it was so much fun! Greg and his brother led us through Waikiki in this "think outside the box" scavenger hunt! Love how he incorporated the surroundings into the game! There is some skill needed to solve the series of puzzles, but my girls all worked together and were able to figure out the clues! Greg was super awesome, guiding us just enough so we wouldn't waste precious time! At the end, we were able to turn in our bingo card for some extra time, and take a quick selfie for some time! Recently did a Scaventour activity with my coworkers and we all had a blast. We'd considered doing other challenges like a breakout room but Scaventour was much more affordable and allowed us all to participate in the same game instead of breaking us up. The people who organize the challenges did a great job of using Waikiki as a fun backdrop and clue holder. It was so much fun being outside for this challenge instead of in a room. This gig is so worth the price and the experience awesomely fun. You will not regret it. We will most definitely do their other challenges again soon. Our family of 5, to include our 83 yr old pops and 72year old mom, totally enjoyed today's Duke's Revenge Challenge with game master Jonathan leading us. He was very patient with our slow moving parents and very calming and understanding of our press for time towards the end when we were worried about being unable to finish all puzzle challenges due to our own time restraints. But he stay calm and kept moving us forward through each new task and only when absolutely needed would step in to help guide us to solve the tasks we were seemingly struggling with but never letting us feel defeated at any time. With his patience we made it to the end and went home not only with a great family memory of fun but also with a really cool Dukes Revenge Scaventour medallion. Big mahalo to Greg for accommodating our last minute tour request (literally only a few hours notice) and Game master Jonathan for agreeing to pickup/do our tour which was a birthday celebration for my sister who was extremely happy with the idea. We did Duke's Revenge with 4 adults and 4 kids, ages 7-11. The puzzles and clues were easy enough for the kids to participate and challenging enough for the adults. It was nice to walk around Waikiki and the walk was not hard at all. Each puzzle was approximately 2-3 blocks away from each other and each puzzle was unique. They also included a Bingo challenge where you had to look for specific things/pictures/objects as you walked from puzzle to puzzle. Each completed row earns you an extra minute of game time. The kids loved this part of the game. We had a lot of fun and will definitely do their other challenges in the future. I highly recommend Scaventour. read more

A friend was thinking of an escape room for her bday, but since we were in Hawaii, why not stay outside? It was fun! We were located in the Fort Street area broken into groups. Puzzles were a bit eclectic! Either very obvious, IF you got out of your own way, or tooo out of our mental processes! Puzzles should be reviewed to make sure they are challenging but also possible to complete within the time limits set. Or it leaves competitors feeling frustrated rather than feeling empowered! If you like escape rooms you'll like this experience down in waikiki. You start with a scenario and a backpack full of locks and are given clues that require you to use your surroundings to find the combinations. I wouldn't so much call it a scavenger hunt as Greg, the founder, leads you to the various locations but once your there it's up to you to use your observation skills to solve the clue and unlock the backpack. Scaventour is definitely worth trying out! It is very fun and competitive. The tactics and process of this game are so well thought out! It is not what you would expect out of an escape room... those are way more confined and stressful. This game is all about competing at your best rate for points to beat your friends on opposing teams with puzzles that are like escape rooms, if you are familiar. Things viewed by the public eye are used to solve these puzzles, which makes the game so different and so cool. I will definitely do another scaventour and I only hope for the business to grow! We just finished a unique, creative and FUN escape room experience roaming the streets of Waikiki. Our group consisted of my sister, me, my hubby and our three teenage sons (15 & 13 - twins). Our search for the key to save the crypto-currency world from an evil Macedonian genius' vengeful plan took us through Waikiki. We had our game master accompanying us to pick up discarded clues and opened locks. The tasks were linear and interesting. Greg, our GM, was fantastic. He knew when to give hints and when to stand back. I found his presence to be both reassuring and helpful - never intrusive. We really enjoyed this experience! Double thumbs up for sure. read more

We were looking for something different to do in Waikiki other than tanning, people watching or shopping. Stumbled onto Scaventours while searching for an escape room game and glad we found it. There were only 2 of us in the group and I was concerned that the gameplay might be too difficult or overwhelming with just 2 players. We played Duke's Revenge and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of puzzles to solve and the 60 minutes fly by quickly. The puzzles were creative, not overly difficult but challenging enough to make it a worthwhile and fun experience. With just 2 of us (and Greg the game master and monitor in tow), it was easy for us to get quickly from spot to spot. With a larger group, it may be more difficult to keep everyone together but you have the benefit of having more sets of eyes looking for clues / puzzles. BTW, we beat the game with 1 second to spare. If you love puzzles, you will enjoy this game. read more
