We had 6:30 reservations and wasn't seated until 7pm. Service was very slow, but the server was polite. Food was less then desire, filet mignon was raw, and all I tasted was the charring on the top. The overhead music was to loud for us to have any dinner conversation. The utensils were dirty. read more

Liked the bar area. Didn't venture in the dining room. Calamari was average. U could tell it was low grade and was the frozen type. The Pesto Sachetti was disappointing as it was Mainly Olive oil. No notes of garlic or basil. Cheesesteak looked good and had a good proportion of meat but very little cheese. French fries that came with the sandwich. I met a friend at this newly reopened restaurant. Upon being seated, it was impossible not to notice how loud the music was. When it became apparent that we were getting ready to leave without ordering anything, one of the managers, lowered the sound system and continued to monitor the volume. He kept checking on us to see how we were doing. We appreciated his consideration. Unfortunately, when we were done our meal and ordered no dessert or coffee, the server came to our table and asked us to leave because there was a reservation waiting. We had been at the table for one hour and 15 minutes. How long had they reserved the table for our use? An hour? An hour and 10 minutes? I have eaten at restaurants all across the country and around the world, and never, never, never have I been asked to leave because there was another reservation waiting. We will not return. We visited on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my niece's 20th birthday. First the positives: the server really hustled; it appeared as though she was the only one working. We were a party of 6 and were seated in a round table which is so much better than a rectangular table, so we really appreciated that. The tomato bread was delicious! Things that need attention/improvement: I had the veal cacciatore, and it was just ok. I could not chew many of the pieces of veal and to spit them out. I never had veal that was so tough! The pasta was fairly dry and did not include a lot of vegetables. I asked the server for a side of sauce for my pasta, and she promptly delivered it to me. The others in my party said their meals were good/ok. We were seated in the main dining room, and there was a private event in the next room. The DJ had the music so loud that at times, I could not hear everyone at our table. My 80 year-old mother was with me and did not like the music on at all. In my opinion, they should not use their dining room when they have an event during which the music is blasted. In terms of a birthday celebration, Iliano's does it the best! There was no salt or pepper on the table, I got it myself. The oil dip was just oil, no spices. The pasta was put in a bowl, a few chunks of tomatoes & shrimp on top. No butter, garlic, nothing. Not even worthy of bringing it home. I gave it back & requested it to be removed from the bill. She was sweet & kept asking if I wanted something else. I was embarrassed & didn't want to make a scene or get my replacement dinner after everyone is done. Disappointed in our recent visit. The appetizer: caprise salad. It had no basil leaves. No leaves, not a salad. The gluten free pizza was always amazing. It was why we would patron the restaurant. Just had dinner for my MIL's 82nd Birthday. Kevin was our server and he provided the best service I have experienced in quite a while. The restaurant has been updated beautifully, and the atmosphere was relaxing with nice Italian background music at the perfect volume. Topping it off with simply amazing food. I had the homemade spinach ravioli with alfredo sauce, it was outstanding, and the bread with oil dipping sauce, so good. Kevin brought out a piece of cake with a sparkler candle and my mom was so surprised as they changed the music to play "Happy Birthday" for her. Illiano's Hammonton's new owners receive a 5 Star rating from this customer and if I could give them more I would. Keep up the excellent work. I will be back and I'm telling my friends. read more

The food is inexpensive compared to other Italian restaurants in the area but still tastes great! The calamari was good but lacked some flavor, but great portion size. As a life long patron of Hammonton with family living in the same town, I would write an honest review of my dining experience, highlighting both the positive aspects and the discrimination I faced. I would focus on the quality of the food, service, and ambiance, while also mentioning the unfortunate incident with the host. My sister arrived before a party. Both had no reservations and after reservations were no made, the host deliberately took the group who came AFTER. She was visibly upset and our party left. Our families will never return to this restaurant. My goal would have been be to provide valuable feedback to both the restaurant management and potential diners, emphasizing the importance of treating all customers with respect and fairness. Our first time trying Illianos under new management and we were so disappointed! There was hardly any toppings on the pizza and the blackened chicken was so salty you couldn't eat it and I love salt! Came here for a lunch after a funeral. Place is very nice and the back room was more like another room in a restaurant versus a banquet room. I really liked that. We were a very large group and took up the whole back room. We estimated 40 people and 80 showed up. The restaurant did well to respond. The buffet had a penne vodka sauce which was delicious but not very hot. The chicken was lemony and not dry- very, very good. I would get that again for sure!! The eggplant was forgettable but in their defense my Dad makes the best. The garlicy Caesar was outstanding!!! It ran out by the time our last table got to the buffet and we asked for more and she brought a plate (last plate in the house!). The antipasto salad was nice. Service was Good. Today we had a delicious cup of pasta fagioli along with a cheesestak and fries. So hot, yummy and filling. It was enough food to feed two people, which is nice for lunch. Excellent service by Nancy, while listening to great music in the background and watching the Carolina Panthers play Tampa Bay. HAMMONTON's own, JD DiRenzo played today and we were all rooting him and his team on. This is a hometown place to enjoy awesome food, drinks and friends. Searching for pizza last night, came across this restaurant. Atmosphere was good, clean and staff friendly. Servicer was attentive and very pleasant. Food was ok some items better than other. Rolls were warm not hot as expected. House salad was fresh Crab ravioli was a little under cooked in my opinion. I realize homemade pasta can be on the hard side at times but ‍ Cheese pizza with crushed garlic, NO!! They used to have the best Sicilian pizza in town but no more since the new owners took over! Pizza was horrible! Asked for sun-dried tomatoes and got diced tomatoes. Pepperoni slices were so small and slices cut too small. Pizza also tasted like fish-I guess it got too close to the anchovies. Previous owners were so nice and friendly, but the person who took my order over the phone acted like I was taking up too much of her time! It is a shame because it was a beautiful restaurant but I won't be going there any more! I wish the former owners would have taught the new owners how to make a pizza!! read more

Tried illianos in hammonton last night for the first time. Walked in and were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess who took us to a nice and comfortable table. Friend and I split some apps including clams casino, burrata caprese and Thai chili. Appetizer menu is so extensive we had trouble picking, we wanted to try them all! Every app was cooked to perfection and scrumptious. For main, had chicken Marsala that was absolutely delicious. Friend had chicken francese and said it was one of the best she's ever had, and that's her favorite dish so she's quite the connoisseur. We are dying to go back to try the pepperoni pizza w hot honey. We were so stuffed by the generous portions we couldn't even think about dessert but will have next time. Adam (the manager or owner?) came over during the meal to check on us and we told him it's two thumbs up!!! Had excellent service the entire night. We loved everything and will be back. read more

Arrived and told it would be a 20 minute wait even though there were plenty of ready tables. When we questioned that, we were told, "you have to wait for a waitress". Turned around to go to the bar and there were people eating down the end, but in front of us were dirty plates, used napkins and silverware sitting on top of the granite; no placemats were used. We waited about five minutes before the lady behind the bar picked everything up. She did not wipe down or clean the area, nor did she put napkins or coasters down for our drinks. We ordered a round and quickly grabbed our drinks off the bar. We were seated and our orders were placed. Out came the salads which were nothing more than iceberg lettuce with some shredded radicchio and a single grape tomato cut in half, which revealed that mine was rotten inside. Our entrees begin to come out, but one was brought to the wrong table before making it's way to ours. Entrees were served one by one with minutes in between. Almost all were served lukewarm to cold. By the time our entrees did come out, the dining room was down to only four tables being filled. The reason for the 2 stars and not one is because the food wasn't horrible. If it were served hot it probably would have been better. However, all of the pastas received were completely overcooked and mushy. Return visit? No. read more

I like Illiano's! Here's what they do.... They serve up Italian food... Good Italian food... At a reasonable price... And know what else they do? They attempt to offer their food in a nice environment! With a dress code!!!! Now don't get worried, it isn't super strict... But things like no tank tops, no men with sleeveless shirts.... For those of you NOT from South Jersey, people here love to wander out and go shopping in their pajamas.... So it is nice to have a place telling you to get your life together. :) They just expanded as well. They added a full bar and a take out door around the back. My brother and I picked up some take out last night... Chicken Parmiganna w/ spaghetti, Gnocchi Caprese, and some garlic bread.... $29 for everything. HUGE servings.... The gnocchi was definitely over cooked. I'm not going to lie about that... Almost enough to drop the rating to three stars... But everything else I've ever eaten here has been on point, so I'll forgive... THIS time. Anyhow, good homecooked Italian food, great if you don't want to dine next to someone in flip-flops and tweety bird t-shirts. If you are stuck in shore traffic, this would be a great place to decompress. Illiano's is located on Rt. 54, about 1 mile north of ext 28 AC Expressway. They offer Pizza, Sandwiches, Pasta and very nice bar. I have been here several times and they always seem to accommodate even on days they are packed. Seating includes, dining room, casual area and a 15 seat bar, which is the hot spot. Two large flat screen at the bar can be seen from all casual seating. The menu consists of all the Italian favorites, Pizza, Pasta, Eggplant, Chicken, Veal and Daily Specials. My favorite is Penne with any one of the fine sauces. They are made with fresh ingredients and pasta is al dente. They always include a small house salad, tomato pie and pizza dough rolls. Servers are always friendly and helpful. Wait time is at a minimal. Hammonton tends to be our meeting area for friends from the Atlantic City area. We were meeting a third couple who were leaving the area for Raleigh,North Carolina. This place is located on the main road. It's a large place with sufficient parking. I couldn't tell if it was crowded because of the size. We were promptly seated with the other couples who had arrived before us. It's a dark interior both in the main dining room and bar area. We ordered some wine to start. They served a nice chilled Chianti. It was a nice sized serving of wine. A tomato sauce topped bread was brought to the table immediately. It was tasty and went quickly. We ordered some appetizers for the table. They didn't last long. The serving of calamari was rather large. The menu is large with the typical assortment of Italian standards. Moreover there were a number of specials for the evening including a fresh fish. Our table ordered a diverse variety of choices. The servings were large and most of the women took part of their dinners home. We ordered several desserts to be shared by the table. All were very good. The pricing was fair and will not break the bank. Definitely worth checking out in the future. read more
