Was hoping for better. $15 for a brisket sandwich. The brisket was undercooked, chewy and lacked any smoke flavor.

There were a couple trucks parked when we entered the shopping center on the SE corner of Congress and Lantana. My husband knew they were not the right ones. We drove around to find the Family Dollar store. Yes! Right where they said they'd be. There was even a picnic table right out front where we could dine. You order and pay at the window. Your food is packed to go which worked out as we brought a few things home. They do a lot of takeout, obviously. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich. I got the rib sandwich. We shared a small order of baked beans. And he also got some banana pudding. His pulled pork was tender. He added some of their sweet sauce to taste. Ate every bit. My rib sandwich was also very good. I had it open faced. Didn't even need to add sauce. And brought a couple ribs home. The baked beans were fantastic. Nice bits of meat and great flavor. The pudding was my least favorite -- I only had a taste, but too many cookies for me. We even got to meet Howard. He came out to check all was good. And later he said hi to a few of his regular customers. He told us everything is "house" made. What a nice touch to meet the chef/founder! I now know where we will come when we have a bbq craving. And I need to try their rib tips and brisket as well.

Parking in adjacent parking slots with a table, chairs and covering for shade is available for "dine here" customers. I chose the Howard's BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and my wife and I shared some BBQ Beans. My pulled pork sandwich was a generous pile of tender pulled pork between two slices of white bread. I chose the tangy sweet BBQ sauce for my meat. Delicious and satisfying. Howard even stepped out to see how we were enjoying our meals. I got a Banana pudding cup for dessert which had lots of vanilla wafers!

Im a sucker for hot dogs so when I saw the PS 561 food truck i knew what i was eating!…read moreThe line wasnt bad and I ordered The Rockford. This is an almost chicago dog which comes with relish tomatoes and jalapenos. The bun was incredible as it was buttered and toasted and a good size hot dog bun! I really enjoyed my hot dog. The price for a dog was 5 dollars. It didnt come with any extras like the tater tots or a drink. Those cost extra if you want them. IF i ever see PS 561 again I would definitely buy another dog from their food truck. 5 Stars from me...because I love hot dogs and i love PS 561!

Go Ps561! Thanks for taking the title to my 800th review :)…read more I finally got the honor of checking out this awesome food truck in downtown Lake Worth the other night for the Food Truck invasion event. The menu kicks ass. You can get a dog with different types of creative toppings. Each one of the menu items have a crazy name for them and it suits each one well. I wanted to try all of them, but I stopped myself from doing so. The Exchange Student was ahhhh-mmazing! It was topped with garlic mayo, pineapple, and potato chips. The bun was perfectly toasted with butter and I enjoyed each bite more than the last. My husband got the Principal Ron and it was topped with bacon, BBQ sauce, and goat cheese. I took a bite of his and it was good, but I wanted mine more ;) Kudos to the guy that was doing the orders that night since he was the only one on the truck doing all the work. Even though it was the longest line out of all of the other food trucks that were there, he quickly handled each order smoothly and didn't stressed about the crowd waiting for those delicious dogs. The schedule is online, so you can check out when and where you can get one or four of these delicious hot dogs. The $5 price is fairly reasonable for each one of them. I definitely will try a different one the next time I visit the truck.

Carnivore Foodie Nirvana!…read more I'm amazed that I missed writing about Palm Beach Meats! A Bib Gourmand Michelin restaurant, several dishes have been given Michelin designation. Honestly? They're all pretty damn good! This go-round, I tried the pastrami sliders which are off the chain! See the photo. They do a lot of Wagyu here. Honestly? I generally don't like places that do a lot of Wagyu. They tend to lean into the fat too much and don't balance their acids in contrast in their dishes. This place is like a perfect teeter totter sitting in the dead middle. The dishes are well thought through. They don't leave you feeling like you ate 10 tons of food. The cases are full of meats that you can take home and cook as well as cheeses that are exotic and interesting wines and beer and exotic sodas. All kinds of special condiments and foodstuffs. Service is excellent! Order at the counter, but they give you great attention! It's a small place. Desserts are so good that it's scary! Japanese Cream Sandos are a unique one! The dining room is clean comfortable, not pretentious. They're playing 80s Ramones tunes and "Cherry Bomb," and other tunes that just make you smile.

Palm Beach Meats was absolutely a five-star experience for us. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Topper,…read morewhich was $19.99, and it was outstanding. It came served in a bowl with white fried rice topped with scallions, pickled onions and carrots, Wagyu beef, and an egg. Every bite was flavorful and well-balanced. We also ordered the PBM Wagyu Burger cooked medium well, and at $19.99, it was absolutely spectacular. It was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and ketchup, and it did not disappoint. We paired our meal with a couple of their specialty soft drinks from Boylan Bottling Company, including the cane cola, which was a great touch. The ambience is intimate and inviting. I really loved the setup. They have a meat cooler on display featuring the meats they use and sell, bottles of wine on the shelves, and a refrigerator stocked with specialty drinks. It is not just a restaurant experience, but also a meat market where you can purchase Wagyu and other specialty meats. The whole place has a charming, little Italian-style decor that makes it feel unique and welcoming. Rosemary took our order, made excellent recommendations, and also came by to clear our table. Her service added a lot to the experience and made us feel well taken care of. This is definitely a do-over for us. I loved the logo, I loved the setting, and most of all, I loved the food. Palm Beach Meats is a place I would gladly return to. 5Stars J.Carrero

We were on vacation and stopped in for dinner. First time here and this is how things shook out:…read more Keep up the good work: - I had grilled chicken sandwich and it was perfectly cooked (ie, it was juicy) - my husband had the Monday night special and really enjoyed it. His sides were baked beans and mac n cheese. - server was attentive and kept our soda refilled Mild bummers: - Mac n cheese would be better if it had a crust on it - it was very loud here...not a huge deal breaker but given I have some hearing loss, it was hard for me to hear our server and my husband. There was an excessively loud table to our side and nobody used their "indoor voices". But it seemed every table was a bit loud and maybe it was because there are a lot of tvs and I know people were vocal while watching whatever was on. I just prefer no TVs in restaurants that are not sports bars. Oh well. Overall, we were satisfied and would come back again.

It was in the center of a plaza with a huge sign outside. I got the BBQ pork sandwich that came with 2 sides. The bread was so soft. I liked the sandwich. I didn't taste much seasonings in the pork. It was a good sandwich. I then ordered the corn fritters which were big, and excellent lol. I enjoyed them. I was happy with the meal. I ordered takeout out. I sat by the bar and waited for it. The staff was friendly. I didn't have to wait long and it was an enjoyable time. I liked the music playing and again the staff was great.
