It is located in the downtown Carthage, MO area along Route 66. It is a small specialty dog shop. I have a big dog and so I was hoping as the name implied, it had items for big dogs. However, that was not true sadly. They do have many toys and treats for dogs of all sizes. The owner is super nice and was very welcoming to my dog and I. I bought a few items for my dog, including dog beer! It was nice that there was a pet friendly dog shop in downtown where I could take my dog and treat him a bit. Store is super clean and organized also!

My friend had several cats as she lived in the country & was kind enough to take in all strays who came to her door. She was physically unable to take the cats into Dr Gory's for care; I was pleasantly surprised to see him make a house call to care for her cats. I read the review made by someone who said Dr Gory was very angry & treated her & her dog very poorly. That must have been a horrible experience, & I feel badly for that individual. But my experiences with him have always been positive & he has always shown compassion, respect, concern & professionalism to both me as well as my pets. He also charged much less than I've ever paid for any vet services. I will continue to take my cats to him & recommend him to others as long as he remains in practice. Thank you Dr Gory.

And pretty much with every groomer after about half a dozen groomings or more she pretty much has to be drug into or carried into the groomers business. In other words, she isn't happy about going. Since starting to take her to Joh Joh's about five years ago, she has never had any kind of negative reaction to walking in the door. She goes right to them and seems happy to be there. And they are excellent groomers. So the review is that my dog likes them and I like them and we are both happy to go there!

I am so glad I did! She was very pleasant during our phone conversation and seemed pretty knowledgeable. I brought my two doggies in for the works today and the place was nice and clean. She had some kennels for safe keeping while they waited their turns. They seemed to be at ease when I came back to pick them up. They look and smell great! I've found our new groomer!

He was practically molting...big fur balls all over the place and I didn't want him to trash my host's home. I first called Pet Smart. They put me off until the next day. All fine and good but didn't help prevent the mess that was about to be made. On a whim, I called Jan's and explained the situation. Unbeknownst to me, Jan and her lovely daughter Jamie, have a thriving business and were completely booked. But after a brief chat, Jan made a colossal, humanitarian effort to work me in. Later that day, I picked Yoshi up. Handsome!! Is the word I used. He looked great, clean, nails trimmed all for a GREAT price! I'll always go back but I know to call in advance. We have been going to Academy Animal Hospital since we moved here in 2003. They have always been…read moreknowledgeable, kind and compassionate. They always put our animals (and us!) at ease. When I took our dog in and it was found he was terminal and had to be put down, Dr. Cahill came in (she was off that day) to help us, and the whole staff were so compassionate and caring, it made a very difficult time just a little bit more bearable. We now have a young cat that we take in for nail clipping and flea/tick treatment, and they are so good with him! A special shout out to Paula, who is wonderful when my Husband has trouble getting Skittles into his carrier for his appointments - she always accommodates us!

He he was roaming around and going over by the good dog store so I thought maybe it was the owner's dog me and this other woman stepped inside and the dog barged in like he knew the place so we simply asked this man if this was his dog, and he instantly flipped out on us and told us to leave and to get the dog out of his store!!! we went back outside. The dog started to roam around again. The owner of the store came outside and starting cussing us out, and yelling at us...so from there I called the police and told them the situation about the stray dog and the disrespectful owner... the owner of the store told me that he has known about this stray dog roaming around Stone's corner and hasn't called anyone!! he could've simply closed his store for 35 mins and taken this poor dog to the humane society the very first day he saw him. very sad, the weather outside today is rainy, and overcast this dog was completely soaked. He was in a dangerous area where he could be hit at any moment. thats why this was so serious! it blows my mind how you can be the owner of a pet store and have absolutely zero compassion for animals.
