Where his ashes were supposed to go when he got back home.
    Jeremy W.

Monumental Mistake. When my dog, Mclovin, lost his fight to cancer we took him here to be cremated. We paid the fees and were told we would get him back in a week or so in some type of Urn. We called many times to find out when we could pick him up and bring him home, we got the same answer: "He isn't back yet". They NEVER stopped to check the system for details... After 2 weeks my wife calls and raises hell. Thats when they actually pulled up his file and we found out that our request to have him cremated was filed as a "group" cremation, not a "private" cremation. We will never get his ashes back. We are Horrified, and Devastated. He isn't back yet...... and never will be.

Yes, I said I would leave a bad review for the unethical practice and unlike you; I hold my word…read more My dogs condition hasn't been fixed even after paying for their advise.. From Paws owner: "number one priority is the wellbeing of pets" interesting because my dogs paws have not healed even after given "proper instructions with scheduled medicines" and my solid 186 payment. Still haven't had any follow up calls to see how HE IS DOING. That should be number one, right? From Paws: "Julie Dube first time customer called Paws and requested an estimate on 8/14/2024. Estimate was for vet exam, rabies vaccine, heartworm test and heartworm preventative for a total of $102.09. please note that estimates are valid for 30 days only." FEEL FREE to look at the call logs. Their "estimates" change within four days not 30.. pictures added below of call logs.. The initial $45 was for the paw condition so that's their poor logging (Again untruthful or terrible communication on their part) From owner: "Customer came in on 11/02/2024 and everything that was in the estimate was done. Customer also wanted our Vet to check on an ongoing skin problem her dog is having (which was not in the estimate)." I'm sorry but if a customer is asking price in the first place whatever is given to your fur baby should be consented with a given price. From owner: "Vet examined her pet and prescribed 2 different meds for his skin condition. Customer also wanted to know if there were any other vaccines her pet needed. she was told her pet needed two more vaccines. Customer declined one of them and agreed on the other. End of vet visit." I agree on this, however the "accountant" should've stated my bill before they injected him not at the counter after I had no choice. From owner: Customer was very upset when she was given her invoice totaling $186.31 which included: 1. Her original estimate. 2. One extra vaccine and meds to treat her pet for skin condition. Obviously I was upset because I was misquoted and AGAIN my dogs diagnosis wasn't "treated" From owner: "Customer and was not pleasant with the staff, "demanded compensation of free products for spending extra money that she was not expected to spend. Stated she was going to leave a pretty bad review for being scammed into products" I was pleasant with staff I was unpleasant to the owner because her natured inability to understand. Did I not pay the bill within 5 minutes of getting it? I called back hours later after really thinking I got screwed over. NEVER demanded anything spoke from my heart for me to trust this vet I would want to make up the measly money for their discrepancy of price. which would account to $13 a month once a month.. for heartgard. Thanks for helping mine and my dogs financials concerns after just moving out here while you said you have to take care of 14-15? Of your own animals, no wonder you price gouge. Also, I know I wasn't rude to your receptionist because she's a single mother of four so maybe you should gouge your own pockets.... and cut her some of what you're pocketing. Lets just state maybe have them read the fine line before they sign. Very pathetic and you can live with that. "Wow" Done with my rant. First picture is a free clinic to get your loved ones help when you need it- not corporate. Not this Paws place

I haven't written a review trying to give myself time to cool down. It's been 7 months and I'm…read morestill fuming. Took our rabbit in, as he was one of the only vets in our area who sees rabbits. His teeth had grown too far and needed to be trimmed, I wasn't sure why they suddenly grew like that and this had stopped him from eating, his eye also was weeping a bit and I had tried several ointments from a different vet who then sent me here. To start: this man didn't even introduce himself, I didn't know him from Adam. He immediately lit into me because our rabbit (my sweet daughter was with me as this is her pet) was "under weight and very malnurished." Of course he'd need braces (oh wait he's not a human) so surgery is needed, would cost wayyy too much so we might as well put him down. WTH! My daughter was in tears. This idiot, if a "vet", is a jackass and shouldn't be in this profession at all. I was floored as he said our rabbit must have had blunt force trama to misalign his teeth and it really wasn't worth pulling his teeth and chopping his food all up....like WHAT? I just wanted his teeth trimmed! He wouldn't even consider that because "you'd have to come back every 3 months" well I think that should be up to ME to decide if I want to do that. He proceeded to give me another ointment for his eye (guess he didn't care to charge me for that even though he thought this rabbit needed to be killed) and charged me $90 for the drops and his time. We went home to debate on when to put our sweet bunny down (this rabbit is an indoor bunny who roams freely in the house. We were devastated.) my family talked me into getting a second opinion, I drove all the way to Fair Grove Vet and am SO happy I did! This vet was friendly and helpful, owned a rabbit like ours too. I didn't say what this vet told me so I could get an idea on what this new vet thought. He said that this can happen with bunnies teeth and you just have to trim them down since he can't do it now. He said his eye was weeping due to a blockage. Nothing big. He said his weight was fine, not malnourished at all! My daughter and I wept when we got in the car. This was all back in January this year. Visits were 10 days apart, I had to go back once more to get his teeth trimmed, the vet told me next time I came in he'd teach me how to do it so I could avoid the hour and 15 minute drive every month. I never had to go back! Our rabbit has been able to keep his teeth trimmed himself, not sure what happened but I can't BELIEVE this vet told us he needed to be put down! Save your money, your time, and your emotions. PICK SOMEONE ELSE! Or better yet, drive to Fair Grove vet, it's worth it. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Deborah the owner advertised herself as a show groomer, and that she went to school. I fell for her pitch and decided that a simple sanitary is something any groomer should be able to do. I explained that I normally would never allow anyone other than my normal groomer touch her because her hair is very high up keep and you really must know what you are doing to care for it. I was very specific and asked that she NOT touch any of her hair. Just simply do a sanitary and nothing else. When I arrived to pick up my dog I was in shock. She had cut all of her hair off!! She did not even cut it so that it would look nice, it was chopped to pieces and looked like she was put through a grinder. I was so upset about her hair at the time, that I did not even realize she had also CUT OFF a PIECE of her EAR and then tried to glue it!!!!! I realized the ear once I was in my car and felt that I could look her over from head to toe to see what all Deborah had really done to her. It was clear that my poor baby was abused, no person in their right mind would butcher a dogs hair after being asked not to touch it at all. And then to cut her ear too and not tell me at pick up. I immediately called Deborah, who avoided me and had her wife Carla call me and my husband back. We asked that they NOT cash the check that I had paid for the grooming and they refused. Deborah was trying to say that I made it up so I offered for Carla to meet at my vet office. She was a no show. We of course did not drop it and I posted photos and a review on facebook which went viral quick. That got their attention and Carla finally met me at my vet the second appointment. At this point Deborah was trying to say that the dog at the vet and in the photos I posted were not the same dog that I took in for grooming!!! WOW!!! They lies and twists from Deborah and Carl, owner of Austins Paw Spa, just kept coming. During this time I had several people contact me about my facebook post to share their own stories and pictures of their beloved pets who had been harmed and cut up at austins paw spa. Apparently Missouri does not regulate groomers and anyone can decided to open a shop, get a business license and claim to be a groomer as no real license or schooling is required!! Two months have passed and almost daily I am hearing and seeing photos of other animals who have been abused and severely cut/injured at Austins Paw Spa, yet they continue to keep their shop open and continue to harm animals. Please, DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABIES TO AUSTINS PAW SPA they may not come back to you alive!! This has been an ongoing nightmare. While my own dogs wounds have healed, her hair will take FOREVER to get it back to where it was before Deborah got a hold of her.

I took it with a grain of salt because as with any business, not everyone will be satisfied, and some people are more dramatic than others. I took my cat anyway, paid $13 for a bath and to have a couple little armpit and inner thigh mats cut out. Everything was fine. I called to make an appointment a month or so later for a haircut was approaching. They bring him out from being bathed to the grooming station. They (Debra Austin and another random male employee) are doing a terrible job on hair cut. l they get to his thighs and suddenly she says "Oh shit, we got him" as in nicked him with the clippers. The area looks red and irritated. I don't think much of it. I cut myself shaving all the time. Debbie charges me $35 for the cut, though I was expecting $25 but once again don't say anything I assumed she forgot about talking to me about the "Thank You" deal (because when I called to say I would be late to the appointment she said she had forgotten about it completely- she booked "17 animals that day"). My cat, Luci, doesn't act like his leg bothers him really. Just licking at it. The haircut was on a Friday and on Monday or Tuesday I picked up my cat to look at his wound now that it wasn't so red, only to find that there is a 1" gaping hole in his thigh/groin. I send a text message to Debra. I send a photo, she replies saying that she will refund the grooming service fee and the cost of stitches. Cat spends the night at the vet. I pick him up along with two copies of an itemized invoice for stitching him up (including anesthesia, etc). It takes me a couple days to get with her at Austins Paw Spa because I want to make sure she gets the invoice, I didn't want to mail it. Then I am informed that they will require a letter from the veterinarian stating he received stitches due to a grooming accident. It takes me a few days to get this letter. but i got two copies of it from the vets office, made several attempts to contact this woman to give the letter to her (she says I can mail it or fax it) and finally after a few days i get ahold of her and she says that she no longer needs the letter, they have put a check in the mail. 2 weeks passes, no check. Finally Monday (7/22) we receive a check attached to a letter an some agreements I signed to my cats initial visit. The check is for $25 "for the service fee only" because they never received the letter from the vet and because he was not up to date on his rabies shots. While my cat did receive a rabies vaccination during his visit, it was because he was due for it. When I took him there the first time he was technically "up to date" (this was a month or two prior to his vet visit). Secondly, they did not require proof that he was up to date. I offered proof when I was signing the agreements but she declined, stating "it really doesn't matter unless he bites me!". I have been expecting a check of around $230 for over a month by this point. $35 for the service, $192 for the vet bill.
