I really don't know how this place survives. My friend and I both got burned at this place and we will never go back. I paid almost $1,000 to have a grinding noise fixed and they still didn't find it or fix it, but they sure found many other things that I supposedly needed, but doubt that it was true. They even claimed it was one thing, but my friend and I had installed that new part before I even took my vehicle to them, so I know, for a fact, they were lying. When I first visited they were professional and fair but since then I have had a major issue with a faulty water pump and even though it was little past the warranty they wouldn't help to resolve my issue Blamed it on the vendor and never tried to compromise or offer to make this correct Stay away from here as it uses low quality parts and poor workmanship Mechanics aren't certified and they use cheap labor Save your money and time Sorry I have to do this but when you don't step forward to make your customer happy that tells you about this company read more

Great shop!!! I took my Mercedes for the engine light being on the owner was straight up! Did a full diagnostic, found out it was my coolant thermostat, order the parts from the Benz dealer, fix it, clear the codes and gave me an excellent price. Definitely got me as a repeat costumer! Under new ownership - now SoCal Auto Works. Had my car towed this morning on a Sat and they were able to run diagnostics to determine the problem and ordered the part and it arrived in 20-30 min and installation and I was out the door. Very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. read more

They couildn't fix my car. They just open the top of the engine and then they just put it back and it did never fixed it nit's like i paid for nothing. They charged me $352 and i went there just to give them money. They don't how to fix a knock sensor read more

doesnt deserve 1 star my 2013 Jaguar xkr convertible broke down at Jefferson and 48th st called triple aaa they sent tonys auto aaa had replace the battery 6 months ago driver arrived in about a hour he asked me where the battery is which is in the trunk he couldn't find after disassembling everything in my trunk then he looked under the hood couldn't find so he dragged my car in park about 25 feet I gave him adress we're to take an hour later my mechanic sent pics he took to wrong adress. my mechanic went out of his garage to pull another car inside and saw my car on truck with the guy rambling thru my trunk after I told driver mechanic new were battery was when my mechanic got car in shop both front wheels were not allined and steering wheel was not center he tonys auto had broke the tie rod i called Tony's immediately very rude nobody called me back next day I called no response I called again asked for the owner they gave me franks # who finally answered 2 days later said he go and check out which he did i picked the car up to take to get front end allignment my stero was not working mechanic said probably a fuse bring it back after alignment so when I picked up I met frank who gave me a check I didn't mention I thought stero quick fix well it wasn't a fuse Tony's auto blew whole system which is in trunk now every since I have multiple problems fluid leaking malfunction let's are on which mechanic say s due to incompetent service from Tony's called frank very rude told me to call aaa I called Tony's auto 2 more times and asked for owner to call they said they never met owner and didn't know his name. I called sc auto works on a Friday as they were about close, Adrian answered the phone and was able to give me a quote right away which was super reasonable. Doesn't price gouge and is honest. He was able to squeeze me in the next morning and finish my truck just as they were about to close. His guys are knowledgeable and fast. Highly recommend his shop for anything you need. I will definitely be going back to get some more parts installed with Adrian. read more

I am new to the Palm Springs Area, I didn't have a go-to mechanic, and taking a car to a dealer in this area is a hassle. I had several belts on my truck that needed replacing, so much so that they fell off. My neighbor recommended Tony, and she had been taking her car for a few years now. I did my homework and realized I was in for a huge bill. I called Tony, he sent over a tow truck, ordered a belt that I needed, and I had my vehicle back in a day and a half. Repairs + Tow were lower than what I had been quoted elsewhere (at least five other mechanics) with a year warranty. Excellent customer service; I hope to make this my go-to. read more

I have a 2001 vander plas jaguar... If I could give this place a negative star I would. This place plays Christian music in the lobby to gain your trust and they take advantage of pregnant and people who are struggling. I told this guy needed it for work what they did was change it piece by piece charging you $500 at a time It's ready for pick up and ready to go. It's not. He will make sure you pay and play stupid when obviously the the car is not ready....They will fix one thing and then tell you there's another thing to fix they'll take your money and scam you !!!! $1000 they charged me to change the housing thermostat and the radiator coolant reserve replacement . They'll tell you it it's ready to pick up and then the car will not be working. The jaguar emblem was broken off. And our gas cap went missing at this place!!! They again played stupid . Adrain tried to wordplay us and tell us what he did specifically what we needed when I specifically told him that we needed this car to go to Indio and back to Palm Springs. The car is in worse position than when we dropped it off..... . He called me at 4:45 and told me to come look at the car after closing and putting all his cars In the garage....closing at 5 knowing the car was not fixed!!!! We stated why isn't there room in the garage obviously the car is not drivable Adrian lost his cool and He got mad and yelled I don't care if you've spent $1000 or $25,000 after I stated that he did not fix the problem.....He wanted to leave our car out in the parking lot..... then he got someone to drive the car off property where he said it would be put in a garage, where it wasn't left in a garage at all it was outside in a fenced area....They do not care about customers and will take advantage of you if you are low on money...... I will never my car here or recommend It doesn't even accelerate anymore, and I barely was able to drive it off the lot worse conditions then we brought it in. God knows deep down this is wrong and if you don't want to be hustled don't go here. SMH what a nightmare *****update**** Got it fixed within a day at a different mechanic shop! Wasn't the throttle at all!!! SC motors were ready to replace it and charge more $$$ what a joke the other mechanic fixed it and now it's driving fine!!!! read more

My 1995 ford explorer 4x4 transmission failed. Decided to keep it and have some other major work done. After hours of research, I decided to go to Tony's for the repairs. One of the main reasons I chose Tony's was because I went and visited the shop first, and it looked professional and busy. I'm a retired mechanic and I know that a shop's first impression speaks volumes about the place. Tony rebuilt my transmission, replaced my front differential, upper and lower control arms, rear main seal, and my 02 sensors all at a very reasonable price. Had a very bad experience with one of the on road driver, wanted to double charge for the service that was not worth what he was asking. Once he was not satisfied with the response, left in the middle of nowhere and left what he was there to do originally.
