So this was pretty disappointing. The black beans and the rice were pretty good, but the entrees and especially the service were just not good. Only a few tables occupied, there was a band setting up for later and the room was loud. I ordered the pork chunks, braised then fried crispy with sauteed onions. Donna got the beef dish, which was shredded roast with more sauteed onions and a garnish. It was like they forgot to season either one of our dishes at all. We expected some Cuban spices, but there was nothing. Once we got our food, they left us completely alone. I had to go find somebody to get a check. I may stop there sometime to try a cubano sandwich for lunch(hard to find a good one), but dinner is out.

This place was soooo tasty!! The live music reminded me of my time in Cuba and was so much fun to listen to while enjoying my food. The fried calamari was my favorite, so tasty and the two different sauces along with the pickled onions made it perfect. Actually the tastiest pickled onions I've had, so satisfying!! The guanabana juice was delicious, it was a bit thick but sweet and refreshing. Vaca frita was something very new for me! Very very crunchy haha I got sick of it after awhile so I didn't finish but mostly cause it was a huge serving! The arroz was cooked perfectly and trying it all together in a bite with the salad was extra delicious. I enjoyed the service, all the ladies were very nice. Overall beautiful atmosphere with Cuban touches. I will definitely come back when I'm visiting!!

This solid Cuban spot is now open for breakfast. Very cool dining room and a super friendly and knowledgeable waitress. I had a cafe con leche and plate of lechon served with black beans and rice. Coffee was excellent. The lechon was tender savory with citrus and garlic flavors. Black beans were perfectly balanced and the rice was tasty and cooked to perfection. I'll be back for dinner.

Stopped for lunch take out here after a baby shower nearby. We ordered ropa vieja, a Cuban sandwich, and a steak sandwich. Unfortunately, we also ordered chicken fried rice that didn't make it into our bag. They were cool though, and since we didn't notice until we got home, they gave us a credit in our card right away! The cuban was delicious, even though I wasn't too impressed with the bread that just seemed like hotdog bun than a grilled French bread I expected from the online photos. The ropa was also delicious, though a little tough to chew even though I assume it has simmered for hours. Steak sandwich was also a hit. The French fries left something to be desired (admittedly they were reheated). Would definitely go back!

Love this place, first time I've been in a while. The Cuban food is off the hook, and live music on Sat. Amazing place. The live music is an amazing. For Cuban food. 5 star.

Food was flavorless and when the food did have taste it was salt. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who likes actual Cuban food.

My lovely wife and I finally made it to Bayan Ko Diner recently for a Sunday funday dinner. We were a tad early for our reservation time, but we were seated with no wait. It was cool to see images of Cuba displayed on the west wall, and Filipino scenes on the east wall. We received kind and thoughtful service throughout our meal. Since we went to two nearby breweries prior to dinner, we stuck with drinking water for our meal. We loved that the menu offered whole and half portions of most of their food items, and amazingly the price point of the half-portions were always half that of the whole portions. We decided to order only half-orders so that we could try a variety of dishes. We started off with Lumpia Shanghai and Croquetas as appetizers (two pieces of each are in the half-orders), and both were pretty tasty if not stellar. The Crab Rangoon dip was perhaps the most unique dish, as it is sort of a deconstructed version of the Crab Rangoons everyone knows and loves at Asian restaurants. The dip itself has a bold flavor, and it was served beside a bed of fried saltines. I know little about cooking processes, but the saltines were very salty and perhaps the frying aspect accentuates the saltiness of the crackers. Oxtail Kare Kare seems like an exotic Filipino dish, and the half-order consisted of a very reasonable number of oxtail segments. The oxtail tasted great with the bold peanut garlic sauce, and the plate is accompanied by eggplant (also excellent), bok choy, green beans, and a bowl of white rice.

Thr atmosphere and ambiance was amazing beautifully decorated in the place is small but cozy and you literally feel at home, the owner chef and his bartender hostest greet you like if your family. The owner Eric is so sweet and down to earth he makes you feel like an old friend visiting from the homeland. Katie was supper sweet and very informative on all the menu and drinks. I decided to try the Entre Las Sabanas made with Bacardi & Conac it was so good I asked for a second one. My wife had Tamarindo non alcohol because she was driving, we also asked for the Hummus de Gandules that was so different and so yummy served with plantain chips. For dinner I had shrimps with arroz blanco and pink beans my dinner was so good. My wife had vistec encebollado with rice and beans, she loved it. Our dessert was pudding de pan. And a HUGE portion, perfect for lunch leftovers. I truly cannot stop thinking about this perfectly executed plate.
