TL;DR - Momma G's soups are worth it, if only they gave us just a little more. 5/5 due to the…read morequality of the soups. Food - African Peanut (5/5) Seriously, this soup is a hidden gem. It's creamy, slightly spicy and so comforting! (I've been here a few times and this has been my go to for something warm on a cold, rainy day). My only issue is that the portions feel so small compared to typical American fare. - Hungarian Mushroom (5/5) Tasty, rich and packed thick with mushrooms. It's a higher quality mushroom soup! - Big T Sandwich (4/5) Very filling turkey sandwich, freshly made. It was good, but it's also just a turkey sandwich. Service (4/5) - This is basically felt like service from a food cart. Nothing over the top, but nothing under either. I do wish that the meal came with more napkins than the tiny thin folded one included with the prepackaged utensils. Ambiance - This is located in the Rockwood Market Hall which has spots that are freezing and spots that are under big heaters (making them super hot). It's basically a food court that doesn't have insulation, so bring a jacket, or not, depending on where you sit. NOTE: I'm not including the ambiance in my overall rating.

We ordered two of our old favorites: African peanut soup and Hungarian mushroom soup. The African peanut soup was not like the one I remembered from the Rockwood location. It was a tomato broth with chicken, and then I watched the server sprinkle a handful of peanuts on it. That didn't seem like peanut soup to me and it did not taste like peanuts. My partner said the mushroom soup was average but OK. She also ordered an Arancini that she liked a lot. It's a rice ball with fillings. I ordered a grilled caprese sandwich that was very good. We ordered a large Loaded Potato Soup to go, but when we got home and checked it, it looked like a medium-size soup. Not much for $8.25. I hope that Momma G's hasn't had to cut so many corners in the new space that it will the quantity and quality of food to decline. We will try it again.

From start to finish, everything about our experience matched our expectations, save for one thing: while it was delicious, the Hubbard Special that I ordered, listed on the menu under "omelets", is really more of a scramble, with the four egg whites being almost impossible to detect. In fact, when it arrived at my table, I actually inquired if they forgot the eggs entirely (see attached image). Perhaps this is a misunderstanding on my part, but it should probably be described a little more clearly, because even my wife was surprised by its appearance. Would we come here again? Absolutely! Would I order the Hubbard Special again? Maybe, but only if it were actually wrapped in egg, like an omelet. Otherwise, I'm going with something else (like my wife's awesome Country Fried Steak)!

But we went on the coldest day of the year and were fortunate enough to score a table right away. I ordered the "once in a blue moon" pancakes (they normally don't have pancakes). Topped with delicious blueberries and an egg and bacon on the side. It was so good I ordered another order to take home to my family. My friends ordered the morning breakfast, a waffle, and Benedict. Everyone was really happy with their order going so far as to say the waffle was the best she's had. My friends come from Portland but I live locally. They said they would absolutely drive the over for another visit to Natalia's. The chef is to be commended. Don't miss out. But expect a reasonable wait if you come on a weekend.

To me, it's a specialty market with a thoughtfully curated selection of products, including Eastern European specialties, Russian and Ukrainian foods, imported goods, and an incredible assortment of pastries, cakes, cookies, and sweets that are difficult to find elsewhere. As for concerns about expired products, I can only speak from my own experience. A while back, an employee actually caught an out-of-date item during checkout before I even noticed it. They immediately removed it from the shelf, apologized, and offered me a discount on a replacement item. What impressed me wasn't that a mistake had happened, but that they took responsibility and made it right. No market is perfect, and occasionally an item may slip through from a distributor or be overlooked. What matters to me is how a business responds when an issue is brought to their attention. In my experience, Camas Market has always been gracious, responsive, and committed to taking care of its customers. I continue to shop there because I value the unique products, the wonderful bakery selection, the sense of discovery, and the people behind the counter who genuinely seem to care about the store and the community they serve. Not every market needs to compete on size or price. Sometimes it's enough to offer something unique, welcoming, and worth coming back for.

Great vibe overall. We came in for a large group lunch and had made a reservation, but it wasn't written down on their end. They accommodated us right away and had a table ready after just a few minutes' wait. We ordered a bunch of starters to share, the Brussels sprouts were delicious, the pretzel with cheese and mustard had the perfect texture, and the fries and Caesar salad were both really yummy. Honestly, the starters were the highlight of the meal. The entrees were decent but didn't quite live up to the appetizers. Service was quick and orders came out accurate. I got the hot Italian grinder, and wasn't expecting the large slices of meat inside, it threw me off a bit since it's different from other grinders I've had though the flavor itself was still good. Overall a solid experience and I'd come back, especially for those Brussels sprouts!
