I went there to get my hair fixed. The stylist that fixed my hair didn't even complete her job. She ran out of time, even though the establishment was not closed and left me looking like I had just crawled out of a haystack, but still charged me the full amount.! I made a general time as to the soonest I could come back to get my hair to where I would like for it to be . This young stylist being in a hurry never told me about any policy as to if I were to miss my appointment. There was never a reminder text. There was nothing indicating that she was going to charge me again if I missed the appointment and I mean absolutely nothing. However, she still did charge me and I wouldn't have even been able to cancel it anyways due to the fact that I was in the hospital. Do you think that they cared absolutely not! There was no compassion whatsoever from the owner from the stylist or anything they happily just took my money. Again, and I stress no reminder text no indication at any time saying that I was going to get charged if I missed my next appointment.!! that's some cruel shit! read more

This is what $200 gets you including hair extensions and $30 tip. I asked for a solid dark brown. And this is how I came home (hours after NOT even washed yet). The right is the result of what Katy (stylist/manager) did. She styled it before I left and never notified me that she noticed this. I came back the next day to pick up my hair extensions and for her to fix my hair. I was told by another stylist to ask for a deep hair treatment and said she "should be able to just add it in". When I asked Katy she said it would be an extra charge. I said I would be charged even though this has turned out to be a big inconvenience? Having to come back for you to fix your work? I said let me speak to your manager, she said I am the manager. Update: spoke with Alisha/Ashley?? The owner of the salon and she was "super pleasant" to speak with. She agreed she didn't understand why it tuned out this way even after it was corrected. (I had a bayalage before). Actually I was a customer I got my eyelashes done and hair extensions done at your location a year ago. Had to get both my eyelashes removed a day later because they were done improperly and my hair extensions removed two days later because of improper installation and as a business owner, maybe you should check how you're talking to people because obviously your business is going down the drain because of poor management and horrible customer service. Best of luck to you! And yes, I am 100%. It was your location. The girl does/did hair and eyelashes at your location because you guys rent out rooms or were you doing that under the table as well. But highly don't recommend these services not only is it not worth the money not worth getting treated like shit when you're trying to go somewhere to get away from all the shit. I went to Saxy Salon yesterday to get my hair done. This isn't my first visit there but since my regular girl was booked and I'm leaving for vacation I would give it one more try. The other times that I had been there I would never get what I wanted and would walk out of the salon feeling like I didn't get what I paid for. Especially when I was spending 300+ dollars after being pushed to buy products that ended up not being good for my hair. I had already had platinum blonde hair and just asked them to touch it up and make my roots darker than what they where. I was told that I couldn't do that because it would bleed into my blonde which I understood. Once, what I thought we both knew what was going to happened she started to lighten all of my roots which I thought was a little strange but I was going to trust the process. After she applied the lighter she then walked away and I could see her sitting on her phone and talking to other co worked about going out to drink that night and about how another girl was getting sent 700 dollars from a sugar daddy which I thought it was pretty unprofessional since this was the first time I had seen this stylist. She then kept the lighter on for a least 45 minutes and only checked on me once. She then moved me to the bowl to wash it off, she told me that she was then going to do a bleach bath, tone it, and do a treatment for my hair. I sat in the bowl for another hour of this process. She then toned the top of my roots and I was so excited to see the final product since I was in the salon for 3 hours. When she turned the chair around I was about to be in tears of what my hair looked like. It was not dark or even brown on my roots it was more of a blonde/green color. All of my blonde was a weird blue/green color and I didn't know what to say. I was also very red around the top of my head and was pretty sure I had gotten chemical burn from the lightener. I just paid for my services and thought I might have been over reacting but after friends had seen it when getting drinks that night I called a different salon and schedules an appointment for the next day (today). When I woke up this morning my entire back of my scalp is full of scabs and is very tight from chemical burn. When I went to my appointment this morning to get it fixed because I knew that I was not going back to this salon. When I called the salon this afternoon to tell them about my experience and that I had chemical burn on the back of my scalp all she said was she was sorry and she talk to the girl that did my hair about over processing. She never offered to have my come in and look at it or even a refund for my terrible experience. I would never recommend this salon to anyone, from what I have seen these girls are under qualified for there job and are straight out of hair school and should not be at a salon that wants to portray itself at high end with the prices they charge. read more

I went into Saxy to get my hair done for a dinner date later that night, while I really did love how my hair ended up and it did last all night (got it done around 1 and it looked great well into my dinner starting at 7), the reason I said 4 stars not 5 is because it was pricey for what I got done. My appointment consisted of a spray of heat protectant, light teasing, curling, and hairspray... 1. This all cost me $38 including the tip, not ridiculous but it ended up looking like something I could've done at home. Again I was happy with it I just didn't think it was worth that much money 2. I was pushed to buy their products. I ended up purchasing the heat protectant because I needed a new one and again, I like it, but it is not worth the almost $30 price tag. And I did feel pressured into the purchase. Overall, I liked Saxy and I would consider going back, but I'm not rushing to make an appointment. read more

Had a wedding hair and makeup trial here a few months ago. I was excited because the company has a great website and awesome reviews. I got there and it seemed like they were behind, which happens and I understand. After that they seated me and left to take care of other customers for about 20 minutes without any heads up. My friend and I were a little shocked they did this while we waited. They had to split up hair and makeup between people last minute and rushed to make the next appointment that was scheduled for after me. It was a very hurried and impersonal experience. I had a feeling that I was inconveniencing them even when I had an appointment. They did not make me feel like an important or special customer at all. I want to make sure my bridesmaids, moms and I feel important and have exceptional service the day of and didn't think I would get that at Saxy Salon. The space is very cute and would have been perfect if the service was better. It could have been just the day, something may have gotten missed, and things happen.. but nothing was apologized for or explained to me, so I have to assume that is usually how it is. When spending $90 on a trial and it is not great, I can't risk having a horrible morning of my wedding. read more

The stylist was really aggressive about selling their products. When I declined to purchase those products, the stylist engaged in a lot of shaming about how I care for my hair. The stylist talked for the entire time I was there but did not ask me anything about myself or engage me in conversation. It was all discussion about how they know what is best for my hair and I am making poor decisions in not purchasing their expensive products. I never leave reviews but I wasted so much money that it have to. I went here because I had heard good things. I talked with the stylist for around 20 minutes regarding what I wanted. (No red tones/ brassiness) The hair stylist did the complete opposite of what I wanted. I went in to get it fixed the next day, and it still was nothing like I originally wanted. Both days I felt extremely pressured to buy products, The atmosphere the first day was very strange. There was a lot of gossip going on around me about previous employees. In the middle of my stylist doing my hair they owner said "what are you doing?" And then they went over to the side bar and whispered for a while: it was over all just off. After my hair being ruined and hundreds of dollars spent for nothing, I messaged their page which then accused me of having box color in my hair (and that being the reason for my hair being awful) which I never have had. I then got the owners email, and asked for at least a partial refund, and she said no because "I seemed happy", well, if I was happy, I wouldn't have been asking for a refund. I love my color, the stylist who did my color did great. I however was unimpressed with Sarah and the fact she was over an hour behind, and never actually apologized to me - just kept saying "I'm not usually this far behind especially on a Monday". When I walked in I was told that she was "a little behind" being it was early in the day (11:15) I didn't think there was anyway anyone could be more than 15 minutes behind. Luckily Kassie's client canceled after I sat for 20 minutes waiting and she was able to do my color, had she not had the cancelation I would have sat there for an hour waiting? Kassie, who did my color had my entire foil done before Sarah even finished up with her previous client's nail appointment. Kassie washed my hair and I then felt like a burden because they kept going back and forth about who would do my style and cut. The cut was definitely not worth almost $30. Was a very poor first impression. As well as I find it extremely tacky for the stylist to ask if they are going to have gratuity added on to their bill. I was then sent an automated email, I asked to be removed. I got an email back from whom I assume is the manager asking me if there was an issue with my service. I sent a detailed message back explaining what happened, no response back at all. Definitely will not be returning. read more

I would never recommend this salon to anyone I liked. It started out with my appointment being at 5:30 pm. My stylist went longer with her previous client until 5:40 pm. (No big deal). When my stylist finally meets with me, she says she has been fasting and needs to eat. She asks if I would care if she had a snack. I said not at all. She comes back at 6 pm. This is 30 minutes into my appointment, we have not started any color and the salon closes at 8 pm. I explain to my stylist EXACTLY what I want and made sure to incorporate pictures with my explanation. I was going from a bright blonde to medium brunette shade. I told my stylist that I read that the pigment had to be restored before dying otherwise it would turn green. The stylist I made sure to go to called herself a "caramel brunette specialist". She waved her hand and said "No, it won't turn green. That step is very unnecessary and a waste of time." I am not a stylist so I trusted her. She finished putting on the color very fast. When I brought this up, she said "With brown you can just slop it on." She told me the color had to sit for 30 minutes. She came back 25 minutes later and said "good enough" and took me to the sink and rinsed me out. The entire time, I said I would do any shade of brunette as long as it was not green. The entire appointment she complemented on how much she loved the color. Most of the appointment I listened to her coworkers bash another coworker that was not working that night. It made me feel uncomfortable and as if I was watching from a corner. When the dye was rinsed out she sat me in her chair and would not let me look in the mirror until it was done. She curled my hair claiming she does this with all her clients, but it was to try and hide the shade. Needless to say, she charged me for a 2 process color and my hair was a DULL dark muddy green. The shine in my hair is absolutely gone. My hair texture is very different. It is rough and does not go back to its natural wavy shape. I was VERY very unhappy with it, as I had work the next day. She offered to "squeeze" me in with a gloss appointment two days later. (Gloss does not last nearly as long as dye and is inexpensive-requires less energy and time than dying). It was obvious she did not want to re-dye it. My "appointment" was a 30 minute slot squeezed between two other appointments. The gloss was not left in for very long and now I have black streaked hair, with harshly red tints and green from the previous color. If it's not obvious, I will NEVER go back. read more

I went here to get a haircut- a short bob which is very different from my usual preference. Alisha was very quick and precise, and made sure I knew what I wanted. I tend to dye my own hair at home (which was very apparent at the time of my visit, given that I didn't do a very good job and hadn't had time to correct it) and I half expected to get a lecture on the treatment of my hair. Instead, she gave me some tips of how to ensure a better result next time! The place itself is super cute and welcoming. Alicia and team are extremely friendly and helpful so I took the plunge for my long over due double process and haircut. She nailed it I am happy to say :) It was helpful to her that my regular colorist in Scottsdale AZ was kind enough to provide me with the Wella color numbers so there was little guesswork. I needed a bit more highlighting about my face i decided several days later so my request was happily accomodated. I had been with my previous hair girl since I was 13 (just cuts at that age till about 16) and I wasn't fully happy with what she did with my hair.
