My son and his new fiancé went in to Saxon's to inquire about having her new ring sized. He purchased the ring on line and when the clerk at Saxon's learned of this information she snickered and whispered it to other clerks. They were so rude to both of them that it made my soon to be daughter in law cry! This should be one of the happiest times of their lives and their experience at Saxon's tainted their experience. How snooty do you have to be to put someone down because they can't afford expensive things? They were proud of getting engaged and he is proud about saving thousands of dollars to buy a beautiful engagement ring. Come on...you can do better! I can not say enough good things about this business. I am from out of town and I needed to resize my wedding ring. I wanted to make sure I went somewhere that knew what they were doing. Both times I went in they were very welcoming and treated you like they had known you for years. Even though I did not make a big purchase they treated me as I did. Very knowledgeable, clean luxurious store, and a great staff! If you need your wedding ring resized or to buy a high piece of jewelry I highly recommend. I was overly impressed! read more

The Saxon's team are kind, professional and knowledgeable. I thought I was going to need to have my wedding ring cut off, so I was looking for a place in town to help with that. I sent them a message at 8pm last night and got a very helpful reply almost immediately after. I went in today at 10am, and the jeweler offered and suggested that I allow him to try to get it off without cutting it. I'm truly amazed that he was successful! They saved my finger and my ring! So happy with the service and my experience at Saxon's. I had them size a ring for me. I was happy to learn that all work is done in house and my piece would not leave their property. They also cleaned my other jewelry I was wearing. Other places usually won't do that unless you've purchased the piece from them. They finished on time and the cost was fair. I went to Saxon's recently to look for a 25-year anniversary ring. The saleswoman was awful. She was not helpful, had no good ideas, knew nothing about having one custom made, and never asked if I wanted my engagement/wedding ring cleaned - I had even told her we bought it there from Bruce 27 years ago. Horrible customer service. A friend had a very similar experience. I went to Pave downtown Bend and the guy was amazing. I was there for almost 2 hours looking at rings. Full disclosure: This is my first review. I'm a busy person and reviewing stores and restaurants isn't at the top of my list. I was truly astounded by my experience at Saxon's. Trying to get a feel for the style of ring my girlfriend likes, I took her to Saxon's to look around. The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff. After asking to look at what seemed like half the store, we left. I snuck back in a few minutes later to get a few prices. Natasha must have seen this tactic before because she knew what rings my girlfriend was most interested in and wrote them down. I retrieved the information I was looking for and went on my way. I went to many different stores to see if I could find the perfect ring. Everything kept pointing back to Saxon's. The quality of the jewelry, the customer service and the selection. I can't say that I have ever shopped for jewelry, I had no idea about ring types or diamonds. I returned to Saxon's a month later. Once again, I was greeted warmly by a staff member (wish I could recall her name). I had my choices narrowed down to four rings. She sat with me for well over an hour to help me narrow it down, asking other staff to come over and chime in. WOW, I certainly was not a big spender and definitely didn't think I would get the undivided attention that I received. Now, on to the diamond. Bruce, came out and looked at the setting, asked me an array of questions. Realizing I was nervous and that I had no clue about diamond quality, clarity, size and certification, he grabbed a number of diamonds to educate me. Bruce spend over two hours of his day helping me. I work very hard for the money I have, I am very prudent with that money. I left the store so very confident that I had made the right decision and I owe that to the staff at Saxon's. I have the perfect ring, she can't say no! I will be a long time customer, the experience was that good. I highly doubt the staff works on commission, never did I feel pressured. In fact, I told them I was still just looking, yet they treated me like a high dollar client. read more

For such a fine jeweler, received horrible service. Took my husbands TAG watch in for a new battery. Then received a call saying "there were loose posts inside the watch and it needed to be sent for servicing". Said servicing was over $300 and the only issue we had was the battery. We told then to forget it. Watch was sent back from TAG and sitting in their store for weeks, meanwhile no one had called me to say it had been sent back. Went to pick up the watch and one of the knobs used to set watch was missing. Wasnt missing when i dropped it of and was told they couldn't fix themselves w/o sending back to TAG. What an utter waste of time, and disappoinment in customer service. Now we have to pay to get the watch fixed for something that happened at Saxon's. Fail. read more

From the moment we stepped in Saxon's Sawmill location, we knew it was some place special. We were visiting the Mrs. cousin when we decided to take a walk through the mall on our last day. At this time the Mrs and I were just betrothed, and I was still looking for my wedding ring. We found it at Saxon's, but that was just the beginning of the story. They did not have my size in stock, but Saxon's employee Natasha said she's order it and have it shipped to my home. Good news. Until the wrong size was shipped to me. No biggie, Natasha had me return it to Saxon's to have it replaced. The third time was the charm - Natasha even had the ring engraved at no charge. She was a pleasure to deal with, as well as all the other Saxon's employees. I'm definitely going to make a point of stopping in the next time I am in Bend - and if you're a local, don't hesitate. For a place which sells $24,000 watches, they gave excellent service to a customer paying 1/40th of that price. read more

Wow, I was so hopeful, and what a disappointment. My fiancé and I went in to look at engagement rings and we found the staff unable to understand our wants or clearly communicate amongst themselves. We were handed back and forth and rather insulted on how we were talked at and neither associates listened. After six weeks (six weeks!) with absolutely zero forward progress and condescending voicemails left by the sales staff, we happily took our business elsewhere. read more

I live in town and ran in today to get a new battery for a Bedat watch. I didn't insist on a price before they started, and 5 minutes later had a new watch battery - that cost $40. Mea culpa. All I can do now is tell EVERYONE I know this story. There are equally competent more economical places in Bend to have your watch serviced. My fiance and I were shopping for engagement rings and wedding bands. This was the 7th jewelry place we visited in Bend. Lucky # 7! Instantly we were greeted with a warm welcome and was asked what we were looking for. Since this was the seventh place, we had already narrowed down some major points we knew what we were looking for. Not only did they have lots of rose gold rings in stock, but they took their time showing us different cut diamonds in individual bands. I've never been much for jewelry, let alone fine jewelry. So I knew nothing of cuts, clarity, shapes, density of metals, etc. I'm a pretty active chic & wanted something that was elegant, simple, durable, with a touch of vintage. I was even interested in a ring in a different metal they didn't carry and was told they it can be done, but wanted to chat with the designer for an estimate. Within an hour after leaving the store, I received an e-mail stating it could and was given a ball park price. Correspondence is always pleasant and very prompt. We were both very happy for the attention and time Saxon's has given us. Even though we felt a bit out of place for never stepping inside a fine jewelry store before, they were very calm & casual about the whole transaction. They have made us life long customers now! Don't take your jewelry there to be repaired. I got an estimate for $600. To fix a prong on my 2.2 carat diamond ring and tighten up some diamonds on my wedding band. I took it to my old jeweler in Albany, Or, Sud Stevens and he charged me $20.00!!!!! read more

It is a lovely store with lots of lovely items. Most items are probably fairly expensive, but I wouldn't know because most of the price tags are hidden and you need assistance to look at the jewelry. I browsed the entire store, but was looking for diamond earrings. I was there at least 10 minutes and NOT ONE of the several sales clerks asked if they could help or even greeted me. Actually, I couldn't even make eye contact with any of them. Guess I didn't look wealthy enough that day. So I left and bought a nice pair of earrings elsewhere. They just seemed really snobby so I won't bother going there again. read more
