Sawyer Chevrolet is a fantastic place to purchase or lease a new car. I drove over 120 miles to lease a new car from Sawyer Chevrolet because of the outstanding customer service I received from Tim Dabrowski. Tim worked with me via e-mail and telephone to find the exact car I wanted for an amazing price. When I arrived at the dealership, he had the car and paperwork waiting for me. He thoroughly explained the terms, showed me all of the features of the car, and helped setup OnStar and the MyLink systems. This was by far the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I cannot say enough great things about Sawyer Chevrolet. I highly recommend this dealership and Tim Dabrowski! read more

Absolutely fantastic experience with our new Equinox RS EV. this is the car you dreamed about as a kid.. smooth riding... the tech surrounds you and you cant help but love the drive and no Gas...... today you can get a car pretty much anywhere, but I've always had all my automotive needs handled by the Siracusano family. They are Community leaders, they give back to their community ...honest and fair they have always presented leasing to meet my family and business needs. Our leasing consultant Tim Dabrowski provided us with a seamless experience answered our questions presented the lease offer and closed the deal without any issues. He found us our car and within 20 hours of it hitting their floor plan i was driving it off. really no reason to go anywhere else. I was even able to reach him my first day out for some info while i was driving.. thanks to Sawyer Chevy and The Siracusano family for 30 years of meeting our driving needs!! and check out Chevys new EV it really is a fantastic car....... read more

Me and my husband went there to see a used car but we end up buying new car .At 1st we thought of getting in lease but next day I changed my mind to set my lease to finance, in which they helped me to change my lease contract. Then ,I wanted to finance it for 4 years with less interest so I didnt had to pay higher interest but wasn't possible I had to finance for 5 years 3 month despite of saying I want it for just 4 years so just that case not satisfied over all everyone was helpful especially Tim Debraski was there entire time being!! Thank you all the sawyer group ..and manager .. read more

Once the sale was final on the new SUV I purchased here, Sawyer Chevrolet provided absolutely NO customer support for it whatsoever. I grappled with them for months over the vehicle's many issues, yet they refused to acknowledge that they sold me a lemon, despite its numerous problems. As if it wasn't bad enough that they refused to handle any of these issues, their misogynistic service staff would routinely give me the "dopey woman treatment", using the term "calm down" and dismissively implying that the issues were all in my head. Immediately after I posted a negative review elsewhere warning others about the treatment I was receiving here at Sawyer Chevrolet, their service manager discovered it and went ballistic!  He called me up on the phone screaming, telling me to not "bother" him anymore, and to "go somewhere else" to have the car I purchased here serviced!  Well, I gladly acquiesced, and now take my car to a different Chevrolet dealership where I am always treated with dignity and respect. I've read reviews from other women - and heard numerous reports from locals - that the sexist jerks at this dealership have treated them in similar fashion. Shortly after my scathing review posted, one woman told me they tried to bribe her with a price-cut if she agreed to write a positive review! Well, that tactic is most likely the reason a flurry of new, positive reviews began popping up all of a sudden for this shoddy dealership. read more

Dealership had the exact vehicle I was looking for.Color and equipped.Salesman Stephen Jones was very informative and experienced. They gave me the best price and trade for my vehicle.Being my first vehicle with new technology ,especially the controls on steering wheel. He knew all the previous customers unfamiliar problems with navigating these. Mark Brandon the finance person got a much lower rate than any dealership I had shopped at.Advised me on all options for my loan.Entire deal was quick and painless with same day delivery. read more

Very happy with the ease of purchasing a vehicle during this Covid 19 situation. Tim Day is an easygoing salesperson. Very pleasant and not pushy at all. This is the second car we've purchased with Tim. Sawyer is a great local dealership with an impressive inventory! read more

Tim the sales guy is great! Helped me and my grandmother into a great car. Oil changes are always done in time and great team working there. Anytime I have a problem I bring it here and I walk out happy. read more

The service department is a real joke. They advertise $5 inspections but never want to actually book an appointment. They told me it would take an hour, yes an entire hour, to complete the inspection on my vehicle. The woman on the phone was so unpleasant I didn't even bother completing the appointment. Support local people who are nice and can do their jobs correctly. Don't support this place. read more

Barry is excellent with email communication. If you want to deal with someone reliable, Barry is great.

Going to Sawyer Chevrolet is always a pleasure, from the sales to service. My husband and I purchased a 2019 Sonic for our daughter. Fred Hayes was great to work with! We signed the papers Saturday afternoon and picked up the car on Monday. I'm already shopping for my next car with them. read more

Price are up on used cars and trucks as we all know, I came in to look at a used truck and wanted to negotiate price, our sales person called the used car manager to discuss price the manager told the sales person that we can pay sticker price or next time we come in it would be $1,000 more. I laughed said good luck selling it for $1,000 more cause there won't be a next time, thanked our sales person who was great and walked out. It's one thing to say that the price is not negotiable our explain why you won't budge on price it's another thing entirely to be a dick about. y'all just lost another customer to Carvana. read more

Although the sales department is ok, I have to give a bad review due to their service department. My 2013 Malibu is having an engine noise so I set up an appointment. They told me noon, and I questioned isn't that lunch time? They said they work during lunch time. I sat in the waiting room for 50 minutes and went wandering. My car didn't move! I asked the guy at the desk and he replied they're at lunch??!! I said WHAT?? He said oh we'll get your car in next. I politely said I have to be at work in 2 hours and he grabbed my keys and stuck them in my face!!!! I said OK then can I please set up another appointment? He replied that he was too busy and to call to reschedule. They made me feel as though their time was more important than mine and I was bothering them. Not only did they lose my service business but a Chevy sale too!!!! read more

I went to Sawyers to get an inspection on my new truck, and there was employees sitting around doing nothing, so I asked them, and they said "Fuck Off were to busy for that shit" That kind of service is just ridiculous. They just blow off a new customer like nothing. Anyways I'm NEVER going back their and I am going to tell everyone I know about this and to never bring their business their. Anyways the only nice person their was an employee named Matt who actually tried to help me. read more

The absolute worst experience I have ever had!!! I needed to bring our brand new Chevrolet Silverado in for it's first oil change. I made the appointment for November 11th, Veterans Day. I received a phone call a few days prior advising that the service department would be closed that day and they were unaware of it when they made the appointment. No big deal. I made a second appointment for the Saturday after Thanksgiving at 9am. The Monday before Thanksgiving I realized there was no way I was making it there in time, so I called and asked if other times were available and he said sure, I've got 12, 1, 2. I said give me 1 and then I thought , gee isn't that kind of late for a service department on a Saturday. So Saturday comes and I roll up at 1:00 and the first thing I see on the door is the time for Saturday 8 -1. Oh, I must be their last appointment, I thought. I walk in and the guy behind the counter looks at me and says can I help you. i said yes, I'm here for my oil change. He replies, well there's nobody here to do it and I'm like, but I have an appointment. After things were getting loud, the service manager comes over and finally admits that I was in the computer with a 1:00 appointment. He says we tried calling you. I said, did u hear back? He said no, but we though since we didn't hear from u you weren't coming. I said how about u didn't hear from me, lets assume she is coming and hold somebody back. I got nothing for my trouble other than an offer to pick my truck up. I said I live an hour and a half away and you're going to burn my gas because a bunch of morons can't get a time straight in the computer. No thanks!!! I see by all the other 1 star comments I am not alone. My mother even told me don't buy a car from Larry. Should have listened to Mom. read more

I had to get a repair on my car that my regular mechanic couldn't do. Sawyer was able to schedule me on a day I was available (Saturday) and had it done when they said it would be done and was a heck of a lot less in cost then I was expecting. Couldn't be happier. read more

First off let me start by saying this review is for the service department not the sales part of the dealership.. I bought my truck in for repair. Pretty sure it needed an idler pulley due to squealing noise, thermostat (ran a little warm not hot and no leaks) and transmission pan gasket ( small leak / drip ). After being checked out I was told it needed over $2000 worth of work.. for a new raidiator , front brakes and rotors, and yes a tranny gasket. I thought that was a lot ,, so advised I'll come get it... they seemed pissed off plus changed me $130 for an estimate and never looked at all the reasons I bought it to them,, plus think they over pressurized the raidiator causing the leak it never had .,, never lost a drop of antifreeze now can't drive it at all pours out.. again brought to them for thermostat,, pan gasket and pulley and was told it needs brakes , rotors and raidiator... Over $200,000 worth of vehicles purchased from there to dealerships through my company never again... read more

I was very pleasantly surprised to receive such outstanding service and support from a smaller dealership. I usually buy my vehicles from one of the bigger dealers in Albany, NY. This dealer was an hour drive south of where I live but it was definitely worth the ride. The salesman and manager were great. The deal was outstanding, and the service was superb. read more

Sawyer is the only place I will go to buy a car or to service my purchase. They are everything you would expect from a family owned and operated business and more. They are smart, efficient, knowledgeable, respectful and kind and they get things done! Sawyer has it all--I highly recommend working with them. Exceptional service, great car and a fair price, without the game playing you get from most other dealerships. read more

I can't thank Sawyer Chevrolet of Catskill enough for working with me. From start to finish I had a great experience. Personally, I never would of thought I could ever afford a monthly car payment. I had no problem with my service and the man I spoke to behind the counter was very pleasant. However, I observed a customer speaking to the second man behind the counter (I believe he's the manager) and he was asking the cost of repairs. The Manager was extremely nasty and condescending to him. It was very unpleasant and I just wanted to get out of there. The Manager had no regard for me or the customer he was speaking to. Some Customer Service training should be required of the service department employees (especially the Manager). I would be embarrassed to send a friend, family member or colleague to Sawyer's Service Department and have them treated so badly. read more

This is a review for the service department. I bought a 1999 Chevy Malibu for my daughter. Shortly after the purchase we were having issues turning and removing the key from the ignition. I had the car towed to Sawyer Chevrolet to have it fixed. After paying $450 to have the ignition cylinder replaced the key started to have the same issues. We bought the car back to asses the problem. They quoted me $650 to replace the shift cable. When my daughter was in the service department they were extremely rude and condescending to her and refused to give her a copy of the estimate. I suggested that she bring the car else where. She then took the car to Albrights in Coxsackie. After 20 minutes the technician came out and asked her for $10. Apparently the cable needed some lubricant. That's all! Had they lubricated the cable in the first place they would have had a customer for life. They are customer rapists! read more
