Well hard to imagine improving on a five star review but my most recent experience was truly EXCEPTIONAL! After diagnosing that a new muffler was necessary, Lacy scheduled the service for the following week as the car was OK to drive (just sounded like a sports car ). This morning they came to my house and picked up the car, brought it back to the dealership where the work was performed and then delivered the car back to me early afternoon. This dealership is horrible and I recommend never submitting any request to them. I sent a request to them through Kelley Blue Book and received two phone calls within 10 minutes, to text despite my asking them to stop at the first one and then an email I called the dealership and asked them to put me on the do not contact list one hour later I got another phone call from them!! this is harassment and I will not buy a car from them now no matter how good it looks. This morning we brought our 2021 Subaru Forester in for our annual NY State inspection. Out of curiosity I asked Justyn Lacy about our trade-in value and lease options. When I talked to them about it , the manager Bryan, first send me a blurry screenshot of the video when I pulled in for the services and said there was a scratch there already , which is not true and it is impossible to see thin scratches on a blurry zoom in a screenshot .However, Bryan offered me to fix the damage if I removed my review from google , and we set up an appointment, and then when I came in , Bryan showed me another blurry screenshot (impossible to see anything because of the zoom and you can see only pixels) of video when their mechanic was done with my car and said there were no scratches at all . Just informational here - they make all appointments for 9:30 am (make sure you call throughout the day so they eventually work on your vehicle) If your vehicle isn't brand new, they won't do an alignment, because it would require work - but they won't tell you that until AFTER they have your vehicle all day and put the new tires on. WARNING: This business will do everything in its power to charge you as much money as possible. They are not looking out for their customers but are instead extracting as much as possible from you in the process of "fixing" their vehicle. This is my story: I had a check engine light come on and my heat stopped working in December. I took my F 150 to this dealership because there was a code coming up for my turbo engine. They found a few problems and the cost went from 600 to 1200 to 2500. I agreed along the way just wanting my truck working again and willing to trust they knew what they were doing. The day I got my truck back I noticed that I had heat again but no temperature control. It would just blast very hot air. I called back to make another appointment assuming they would fix the problem they created. After all, the invoice I paid for clearly stated the truck was fixed and there were no further problems. I was shocked to hear from them a new estimate of 2500 to repair the HVAC system. I went in and met with their general manager who rudely denied having anything to do with the HVAC system breaking and even told me to "wipe my smile off my face." He was really power tripping. I was in a vulnerable place needing my truck for work and agreed to pay the money instead of having to start over somewhere else. My conclusion is that broke the HVAC system when they replaced a component of the heating system. I won't get my money back but I can at least warn as many people as possible to stay away from servicing your vehicle at this place. Also complaining to Ford doesn't do anything. Ford cannot pressure them to repay their customers. Hope this info helps someone down the road. read more

For the past six months or so, I've been driving a Ford. It needed an inspection, the brakes were shot, and there was some sort of recall on the door handles...so we needed to hit up a Ford dealership. (The recall could be handled at an actual dealership.) I'm glad RC Lacy was the closest one we could find at the time. We called in, I let the guy on the phone know what the story was, and he booked an appointment for me later that week. He was extremely efficient, and if I were you I'd call sooner rather than later, as they seem to be pretty busy. We couldn't get in for a few days. Everyone we dealt with was super nice, knowledgeable, and quick, which was all much appreciated. They didn't have the calipers my car needed on hand, and I couldn't leave it for a couple days, so we only got the recall taken care of here though. That actually turned out better for me as it was substantially cheaper to get the brakes fixed at my regular mechanic than the RC Lacy quote (not surprising from what I know of dealerships), so keep that in mind. FYI, hopefully you've got a friend to pick you up and drop you off while your car is getting worked on, because they didn't have any loaners available. That's probably a COVID precaution, and you can't blame them. read more

I purchased a 2018 Ford F-150 in 2021. My family has purchased three vehicles from your dealership since then. Several weeks ago, I brought the F150 in for new tires. I brought it in this morning because, since the tires were installed, when I turn the wheel to the right slightly, I hear a roar. It is more prominent at higher speeds. I stopped in the service department this morning and asked if a technician could take a brief ride to hear the noise. I was told I would need an appointment. I asked for someone to look at it while I was in Catskill. The girl told me they would check it out if I could bring it back this afternoon. That's far from the express service you advertise. My afternoon was busy, and the evaluation would have only taken five minutes. Since my wife and I have bought our vehicles, you have done all the maintenance. The mechanic I have used in the past has always been much more appreciative of business and would have given me that time. You don't live up to your service claims. read more

I unfortunately purchased/leased a car from Subaru catskill, in 2021. Car fine, deal fine. Went in to try to get out of my lease with some false information on my side because I didn't know better than to believe carvana because for 1 , I'm not a car dealer(in fact I'm an adult with high functioning autism, so I make A-LOT of mistakes). The dealer I met with , JC Berzal, took advantage of my situation, he was upset with me coming in ignorant... I only came in with questions though. My husband was laid off for the summer school bus run, I was supporting my family of 4 and animals, I needed some help and he(berzal) saw the suffering. this was in June 2023, Mr. berzal informed me "No worries! its right in front of me, you are paid up until August!) this unfortunately was NOT true. FORTUNATELY I have savings and saved myself after getting a late notice after believing the dealer and missing my July payment. This dealer saw someone in suffrage, hurting and yeah maybe a little dumb and they took advantage, I don't know why, maybe so it was harder to purchase or get rid of the lease but it was inhumane and I would not work with this dealer again . I hope to find another dealership altogether . this is their job so I'm over it but protective of my community. read more

Since 12/26 I have received 13 telephone calls, no exaggeration. Also several telephone messages from her. I did not call them initially and do not accept that I have to call them to tell them not to call. We dealt with a very nice young man named Dylan here last year when we were shopping around for a new car.  Although I eventually (and foolishly) did not choose the car we looked at here, we nonetheless were treated very well and given all the information and specs that we needed from the kind folks at Lacy's while we were still in the process of making up our minds. Hi everyone So we were looking for a used Subaru Impreza for our son. A 2012-2013. We found one we really liked at Lacy. So I called to inquire before we took the kinda long ride to Catskill. At arrival,the salesman greets us with a "I have bad news and good news"! The bad- The car you want is sold and not even on the lot. The good- we have more. BS. They had more cars,but not more Imprezas! He tried to sell us a suv that was not nearly as nice. Bait and switch?? Not sure,but we were not happy about that situation. Terrible service on my father's car. Let him leave with no brakes after spending over 3k for repairs. Also asked for 2k up front for parts he waited and had to call himself to see when they got in. Never thoroughly checked his car and had wires and plugs not even put back found this out when he half no a.c. poor workmanship and charged him 200 dollars to send a tow truck out to get the car when it had no brakes. Cannot believe they let him drive away like that by the time he got home brake pad was to the floor. So lucky he wasn't seriously injured. Needless to say the guys were rude and it was all about them upsaling him and then not being thorough. He is a trusting man and did everything they said and they out him in danger. Stay away from their recommendations and get a second opinion. Bear in mind that they do not check a vehicle when it leaves. I'm here to talk about the horrible service department. They are never on the same page. I called Tuesday to make an appointment to get the oil changed and tires balanced and rotated. The lady told me I didn't need an appointment to just come in during the service hours and they would get me in. I show up the next morning and they walk out and ask what I need I told them. The lady said okay we are 3 hours out but can get it done today. I had my mother in law drive all the way to the dealership to pick me up. a guy came over prepared to take my keys and ask again what I needed so I told him. He said oh we only do the oil changed in the express lane so we can't do the rotate and balance. At this point I'm pissed and my mother in law drove all the way to get me for nothing. The guy said let me talk to my supervisor I said okay. He came back and said we can do it but it would take another 1 or 2 just for the balance and such so literally 5+ hours to get my oil changed and tires balanced and rotate. I left upset and very disappointed. I called Kingston Ford and they got me an appointment right away for the following day to get everything done within a hour. read more

This should say it all: We took my wife's ford transit in for needed repairs, (2 wheel bearings plus brakes and transmission flush etc.) They had every opportunity to sell me a bunch of things that I really didn't need, but instead advised me on what was important and what wasn't. I was so impressed by how honestly, frankly, and fairly we were treated that now that my GMC truck needs repairs I am taking it to them--even though there is a Chevy dealer just as close. (And in spite of the fact that, sinc I am going to need Chevy dealer supplied parts it is going to mean additional time to get them.) read more

He was so happy, we drove the four hours from Pennsylvania for Hannah to tell us it had been sold! When I bought my 2012 Outback, my experience at Lacy's was great. That was the last day that my interaction with Lacy's was positive. The car has been a lemon in my opinion. Not yet 100,000 miles and already, catalytic converter at 46k, head gasket at 92,000 and the latest the transmission pooped at 94,000. One of the most memorable moments was when a Lacy worker backed my car into another car pulling it out of their garage. Causing $1K damage Dan Lacy was condescending and chauvinistic to me I wouldn't by another car from them if it was $20. I was so furious at the way I was treated they delivered my car to my home because they didn't want me in their showroom. Employees are great Owners and dealership sucks!!!! read more

I bought a certified pre-owned 2013 Subaru one year ago, and discovered recently from another Subaru dealer that the entire exhaust is extremely rusted, and will cost between $1,500 and $1,800 to replace. I am otherwise happy with the car, but I know that the four-year old car did not become completely rusted in the past year, as I have relocated to a warm climate with no snow / salt. I feel that RC Lacy Ford Lincoln Subaru should have replaced this exhaust before selling or at least made me aware, as this is a very expensive repair.
