This work should have been a 1 day job and cost $500, but I was told by one of the acting manager's (Hailey) they had trouble getting the part and that it would be ready 3 days later at $900. When I picked up the car, after 4 more days of having to call them to find out if the work was done, there was a large scratch running down my passenger's side door and my keys were held ransom until I paid the price quoted for the work to be done at the initial estimated time of 3 days. I heard multiple excuses each day why the work was not done on time and heard everything from: ordered wrong part, the old part broke trying to remove it, and they needed two days to get a drill bit to drill out the piece that snapped off. When I arrived at the location to pick up the car I contacted the Saugerties PD, and there was nothing they could do for a civil matter other than make an incident report. The only manager whose name is posted on the wall (Markos Peratikos) is not present at this location and was not available by phone when the police were summoned over the dispute - despite having spoken to him the day before to report the issue. I was standing there, in the shop forced to call the absentee manager because the acting manager (John Smith) refused to call him claiming he was "in a meeting." This was around 7pm in the evening. I specifically requested Markos call me back when I spoke to him earlier in the day to let me know how much I would be charged when I showed up to pick up the car. I never received a call back after leaving multiple voice messages before going to the location which is about an hour from where I live as this was an unexpected pulley failure. This place is a scam and absolute nightmare. I would never go back to a Monro anywhere after this experience. It pains me to write this as I from the Hudson Valley and saddened to witness how badly the commercial incompetence crisis has blighted this area. I am considering filing a claim with the court. These people should be ashamed of themselves and give decent mechanics everywhere a bad reputation. Be warned, if you value your time and capital stay away from this place. Needless to say they are not registered with the better business bureau.

My van broke down on a Sunday so without even getting an OK from them, I had my van towed to Steyers and left my keys in the dropbox. They called me the next day on Monday to let me know they were backed up with work and would I mind the wait. I said no and in a week they had an estimate and said they could search out the needed parts for my old lady. Several weeks later I had her back running like new again! I and ran into a weird problem while taking the alternator out and got stuck. After puzzling over it for a while, I figured I should ask someone who knows more than I do. I took some pictures and drove to EuroNutz to get some nickle advice. Not only did I get advice, but one of the mechanics followed me back to the car and figured it out. All that for only a handshake! I'd used them about 10 years ago, and had a good experience then, too. These guys are fast, friendly, and fair. If I lived nearer the shop, I'd go there exclusively.

Had our 1978 VW Westy there right after we purchased it. It was literally the first oil change and…read morethey claimed they found metal in the oil and we needed an engine replacement. In retrospect we should have gotten a second opinion and ran it longer to figure out what was going on. Euronutz was extremely slow and as a result took months to do the work and had the bus sitting out in snow and salt causing rust to a bus that was in really great shape before. To make matters worse the new engine has never run well since. It has less power than the original engine. We also got exhaust fumes in the cabin through the heater. To remedy the issue Euronutz disconnected the heat pipe and plugged it with a red solo cup. It had to go back multiple times after as there were plenty more issues (like a improperly connected decel valve etc) All in all not only did we waste +$6k on the work, we also have a bus now that is worse than before the work. If you have an old VW, I'd personally find a different mechanic to work on it. Hans at H&H in Magaretville is a lot better with old VWs and id highly recommend him over Euronutz!

They okay work but were never able to get it running right, and proceeded to tell me it was not their fault. I stuck the truck in my garage and gave up after spending some 20,000 on the build. I decided I needed to get this massive investment done. I was directed to Dan by Dukes Automotive another highly touted shop in the area. The gentleman at Dukes told me Dan was the guy to tune my Holley Sniper and get my truck ready to roll. They were right! My truck now feels like the 550HP fire breathing dragon it was intended to be thanks to Dan! He even had his young protege pick me up at my home 20 miles away when my truck was ready! Dan also had my truck cleaned and detailed before I got there! Old school service and customer care second to none! Dan is the freakin man!
