The staff gossips to each other about each other nonstop. The pedicure stations are worn and janky. There was mass confusion about which chair to put me in. And then I had the switch stations after my foot soak because the power didn't work. The polish swatches are literally falling apart. The nail tech was way too aggressive with the drill on removing my gel polish and burned my toes. The whole experience was sadly subpar and I paid $70 for it. I brought my 9 yr old daughter with me & her friend for a girls afternoon (we all had an appointments) to get manicures. The woman doing my daughter's nails was on her phone texting & talking the entire nail appointment and even left for a while (10min) to go talk on her phone outside during the appointment?! It wasn't until we left that my daughter told me that her nail tech was cursing while on the phone and using the "A word" and "B word". I was unfortunately 3 chairs down and did not hear her say these words but saw her texting and going outside. This place is definitely NOT kid friendly and we will not be coming back. read more

I requested their ultimate pedicure which is supposed to include callous removal (if needed) which was not done (and I definitely needed it). The whole procedure was done outs of order. I went in earlier to get my nails done and was disappointed. The nail tech didn't greet when I went in. She was very very slow with taking off my previous polish. She kept drilling my skin. After she started putting the acetone on my nails and she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. She was also talking on her headphones the whole time. The whole process of starting to take off my polish until it was done was 25 minutes. She didn't give me color options until the polish was off. After a bad experience at a nail salon in town (before COVID), I had decided to stick to press-ons. However, after my mom and I got vaccinated we decided to try this place out, and I was very pleased with my experience! They even clipped her skin . She actually told whoever did her to round off the toenails but cut it straight across anyway. Pretty horrible. I was a walk in maybe that was the problem. Nail technician was the worst. And im not even referring to her skills as a technician because i never really got the chance to experience it as she was more concerned about doing her own nails while I sat and waited with my fingers in 100% acetone for what felt like probably 15 mins or longer. She then gushed all over a new customer as she was finishing her own nails who walked in the door who also didn't have an appt (so i take that other point back) and decided she was going to tend to her needs instead of mine. Continued to not service me while i sat there at her desk and even after i asked about getting my fingers out of the acetone (this cant be healthy) until another employee walked in for her shift where she was told to takeover. Thankfully the 2nd technician was very friendly and attentive and sweet but damage was pretty much done. I should have just walked out from the beginning. I will never go back there nor would i ever recommend to anyone looking to get their nails done. Ive also heard separate stories from two other non related gals about their own experience of service and quality here. My friend and I have been on the hunt for a new nail salon since moving to Georgia in September. We decided to give Savvy nails a go this week. We drove 45 minutes from Ludowici and the experience did not disappoint. The ease of booking an appointment through Facebook was wonderful, I was able to private message to make sure that both appointments went through for the same time slot and got a very speedy response even at 9pm on a Sunday night. Li, Seline and Sasha took wonderful care of us for our pedicures and eyebrow waxes. The environment is very laid back and they've got a beautiful, diverse group of women working in there. Pretty terrible. I've been here twice and both experiences have been equal. If this is what pedicures are like in South Georgia, I don't want another one. They don't offer anything to drink (not even a water?) and the lady that did my pedicure was sitting in the same chair I sat in to eat her sandwich as I came in for my appointment. I sat down and handed her the drink she left behind. Sorry I disturbed your lunch? The place just needs a good scrub down and a refresher on sanitation. The tools they use to clip your cuticles, etc dont come out of a clean package... They are just floating together in blue water. Eeeeek. Note to self: No mas vacation pedicures in small towns. I went in for acrylic and was basically Handed off to someone who doesn't do acrylic. When I told her I wanted acrylic she said the only person who could just left (and was the woman who handed me off to her). She said she did "Dip" and I felt like why not I was there. The girl was very pleasant, but her nor her co worker really cared how the spoke in front of people. It was a little uncomfortable. I didn't know what dip was but I thought it was pretty cool watching her shape my nails. As she was going through she made my left thumb completely crooked, though she fixed it my other thumb wasn't close to matching. When she was done they looked nice. But I went to eat something and got a really good look and noticed how bumpy the tops of my Nails look, and the paint job was a joke. It dried with bubbles through out. This place is close to me and I thought it would be convenient but I'm going to have to go else where to get my 40$ nails fixed for another 40$ I'm sure. Will not be back. read more

I've been here a few times, probably 3 times total since we've lived in Richmond Hill. The first time it was the only salon open on a Sunday, so we had no choice. It was 3 star service. The next few times, it was strictly out of convenience; the shop is three minutes from my house. On Tuesday, once again, I was short on time, couldn't make it to my fave place in Savannah, so I stopped in for a pedicure. I'm so sad, it was such a waste of money. They were fairly busy and I was placed with the only person who was available in the shop. She set my chair up, asked me my preference of water temp (very warm) and had me sit. The water temp was in no way 'very warm', it was probably closer to Luke warm, but I could tell that she was a little confused and nervous so I didn't pester her about the temperature. She took my old polish off, and I asked her to trim my toe nails down a bit. She took the polish off, put cuticle softener on my toes and put my feet back in the water. Next, she took one of my feet out, and scrubbed the bottoms. Normally after the softener, a nail tech will either push my cuticles back, or clip what is needed, but she never did that. She never attended to the cuticles at all. She scrubbed the bottom of my feet, but it was awkward and not smooth. She just wasn't practiced in it and you could tell. After she scrubbed my feet, she rinsed them, then lotioned them up. She did massage my legs, but it wasn't amazing at all. Then, she attempted to clip my toenail length but it was comical because the clippers kept slipping since she had lotion all over her hands. She should've clipped my nails after she took the polish off, and I mentioned that to her and she agreed. Then she attempted to shape the top of the nails- but she was horrible at it and again, the file kept slipping because her hands were lotioned up. She then grabbed the cuticle clippers and literally faked clipping them, she didn't even look like she was holding them properly. The kicker was after that, she attempted to stall, by lotioning my legs again. I realized then that she was stalling because she wouldn't polish them. She wasn't allowed. I had to wait about ten mins for someone else to come over and polish. And then she rushed through it, not cleaning up any rogue polish. They had me sit for 5 mins and then had the original girl come over to help me get my shoes on. They didn't want me to ruin my toes. Well, she was clueless how to move my shoes to make it work. I had to take each flip flop from her to do it myself, because she kept tilting it the wrong way. Overall, it was a waste of time and money. I'm sad because it's so close to my house, but there is no way I'm every stepping foot in there again. I'm convinced that the girl who did my 'pedicure' wasn't trained or licensed, and if I'm wrong- shame on whatever schools she attended, because she was NOT taught correctly. read more

This is probably the worst nail salon in town. I've given this place so many tries as I live closest to this one, but after today's visit I will never go back. The woman who was waiting on me was not paying attention to what she was doing and kept bossing the other girls around in a rude manner. The service at this location has really gone down hill as well as the cleanliness. I actually walked out and wouldn't let her finish. Newcomers to this area be careful of this one!
