I patronized this nail salon for roughly four months. When the owner did my nails, the shape requested was provided. However, the acrylic was always too thin. This caused cracks, on occasion one break, and an infection. Emy would not remove the acrylic when she saw a crack during a fill-in. I would specifically request the removal to prevent a break or infection. She only applied more acrylic over it without drilling into the crack. Personality wise, she is polite and I liked the friendliness-which is why I returned to the shop. But other technicians were either absent or unavailable. I didn't have a problem when Ivy did my nails. If Jessica did them, the shape wasn't what I asked for or consistent. read more

My horrible experience @ Emy's Nail Spa - Nail Salon in Richmond Hill GA and the owner, Emy On Tuesday December 29, 2021 What started out as a girls day out with Wanda Acevedo and Sylvia Mineo ... going for pedicures and only me having a manicure - acrylic fill... it quickly turned into a very painful experience for me. The owner, Emy, after carefully looking over my nails, suggested that instead of an acrylic fill, I should get a fresh new acrylic set. I thought about it and said yes. Before she even did anything, she said that the skin behind my nails was attached to the nail. In other words, she knew she had to be careful, otherwise, she could hurt me. She clearly knew this before she did anything... So why is it that she started with my right pointer finger and ripped my nail off causing me to scream from the pain... and my finger to bleed and swell up!!! I quickly said to her, what are you doing? You hurt me!!! Slow down!!! She then put some blue liquid on my nail to stop the bleeding. My finger was now throbbing and I was in pain. She quickly realized that she should've soaked my nails, instead of trying to pull them off with clippers and/or nail extension. I don't know what her normal staffing is, but I'm going to assume she was short staffed and she was very busy... and she was trying to accommodate as many people as possible... Customer Service was clearly not a priority! It was all about making the money... Hurting me in the process. I sat to get a pedicure with Jessica, while my other nails soaked. At this point, I made a decision to have NIKKI do my nails. Best decision made!!! She took her time and was very careful not to hurt me any further. Not once, did Emy - the owner, check up on me and/or to see how my finger was doing. When it was time to pay, I asked her if she was going to discount my manicure? She said no and got upset. She said she was just doing her job. I quickly replied that she was rushing and in doing so, hurt me! She should've been more careful but she was only interested in money and not customer service. She had zero empathy towards what she did to me... it was all about the money! I will never return back, nor will my family. I absolutely love it here! I loved it so much I began working here. The staff is all so friendly! Many services from waxing to lashes to nails such as acrylics, gel Polish and dip powder! They have several different pedicures that range from $29 to $65! And to add gel it's $15 more! Eyebrow wax is only $8 very low prices! I had my own shop prior to working here at Emy's and I didn't know if I could do it but like I said they are all so welcoming!!! And loving and caring!!! They really take the time with your nails and if you need to be done at a certain. Time they will make sure you get out on time! Emy the owner does an amazing job! And she can most definitely get you in and out! She is very good at nail designs! And your full set with gel Polish and designs can be done in as little as 30 minutes and her work speaks for itself! I specialize in only natural nails and waxing! I don't do pedicures but I love doing gel Polish and dip powders and all your waxing needs! I walked in there with my two year old not expecting to be wowed but i was. They were friendly and took the time even on just a polish change. I have had bad experiences here before but the new staff is great. I will definitely be back. The gentleman that did my nails did such a Gigi's job. Update. 8/1/19 Place is rude and after 10 hours my gel polish chipped and came off. Then when i went to go get it fixed they said i needed to wait for the man who did my nails to fix it??? Clearly he was inexperienced why would i want him to do it again. After all that the next gentleman who "tried" to fix it again had no clue. Will not be coming back. read more

First of all I am extremely impressed. I have to say I moved here about a month ago from a place where the nails meant everything. I took my nails off because I needed a fresh set. I saw there were a couple places around where I live and looked up reviews before I chose a place to try. I was hesitant because of the location of the Salon. Hiding behind food lion. But when I went in. I was seated quickly and my nails started almost immediately. She was quick, only about 45 minutes to an hour. She was extremely clean and the quality of the work done was something I am proud to show off. It was $40 for a fresh new set of acrylic nails with a gel coat polish. Wish there was a way to give zero stars for this place. DON'T GO HERE! I went there based on the photo gallery on Google as it gave the impression this salon knew how to do long nails as well as designs. Waited for about a half-hour as they do not take reservations, and the technician that did my nails waited halfway into my fill that she didn't know how to do long nails. It took her over two hours to finish, broke one of my nails, and had the nerve to charge me for a nail repair. Not one of my nails was even or matched. Bumpy, crooked, all different lengths, and the repaired nail actually curved! Hideous is an understatement! I left disappointed and irritated but not before calling back to speak to the owner. The owner who is one of the rudest people I have ever met knew who I was as the fill took way too long, and told me to come back so she could see what I was talking about. She had me sit and wait as she was finishing her client. She actually had the nerve to turn to her client and said loudly, "too many people come in and want their nails perfect"! Yes, we do and should especially after charging me $45 for a fill! I had to argue with the owner to get her to fix all ten nails as they were a HOT MESS! Guess what folks, she too is awful, and can't do fills! She screwed up my nails so badly that I ended up with coffin style instead of squared as well as ended up with a fungus issue on three of my nails which has never happened in all the years I have had nails! Found out afterward the photos on Google for the website are done by a former employee who now has her own shop. This place is terrible! I was treated so unprofessional, it was actually embarrassing. I called around 12:30 to ask how long their wait time was for a full set with regular polish, I was told 10 minutes. So I said ok I'll be there soon. I got there in 5 minutes and waited 40 minutes before being seen. So I got up quietly and started to walk out the door, a women then acknowledged me and said "excuse me. Ma'am I'm done now" and I just decided to go back to my car and go home til they were less busy. I contemplated coming back later today because I wasn't acknowledged the first time. Well I came back at 2, and called before hand and asked how long the wait was they said 10 minutes. So I said ok and I waited 30 minutes this time before being seen. Someone said to me "I'll be with you in 5 minutes" and I waited another 15 minutes. I finally very politely said "ma'am how much longer do you think it will be"? And she said "I know you're an impatient person because you left earlier but you shouldn't have left". She said all of this behind my back while assisting another client. So I got up quietly and looked at the other employee and said in a low voice "well if you're going to be rude like that guess I'll leave. I waited twice today very long periods of time without anyone helping me and then that woman wants to call me out and call me impatient"? The employee I was speaking to said "I am so sorry that was very rude of her." And I said "yes it was, I'm not confrontational but this is very unprofessional I don't need to be spoken to like this". I grabbed my purse and walked out to my car. Without making a scene. But I could have been rude back to that employee who called me impatient behind my back. I decided it's not worth it.
