We came into town last minute and have been wanting to visit Savour for awhile. Got a last minute reservation on open table. We were greeted by the owner when we got there which was very nice! Our server Lawson was awesome. We tried the drink of the month that was a donation to a special cause. We had a wedge salad and the fried green tomatoes as appetizers. Both were amazing!! My husband had the filet and I ordered the pork chop. Both were perfectly cooked and so delicious. For dessert, we had the Peanut butter chocolate ganache pie, which was out of this world!! The food here is phenomenal! The brussel sprouts are my favorite! The whole restaurant is gorgeous and the food definitely lives up to the name- so much flavor, or ~SAVOR ~. Escargot is amazing!!!! Started out with a wedge salad which was Elsinore. It was simple yet excellent in flavor. I can't recall the entree that I got but I felt that it just didn't provide the value that I was hoping for. The service was excellent and the drink and dessert that I got were also great. I got the peanut butter and chocolate ganache pie. A HIDDEN GEM IN THE HEART OF THE CITY!!! I drive from Palm Beach to Austin and back again, at least 3 times a year and YELP did not let me down on this restaurant. It was storming last night and instead of pushing it to Mississippi, I decided to stop over in Tallahassee. When you drive up the street it's flanked with large, romantic trees and a park, dripping in white Christmas lights. It really set the tone for me, after a long 6 hour drive. Extremely relaxing. The restaurant is quaint and although I felt underdressed, they were extremely welcoming and gracious to accept a walk in, with no reservation, off the street. Then again, my underdressed would be overdressed to most. Suit jacket, dark denim jeans. No make up, with open toe casual sandals Ie: Flip flops, topped with a Chanel purse. All in all, my point being, Business Casual will suffice in this spot, they are very welcoming and I thank you for your hospitality. Pure class. I chose to sit at the bar and met a lot of other traveling professionals my age and had great food and great conversations. I saw a bottle of Caymus staring me right in the face, but unfortunately they do not sell it by the glass however, my bartender made a phenomenal selection for me of the Quilt Cabernet, which was exactly what I was looking for- "Nice nose, smooth, with no bite on the back end". Normally I would have passed on the wine, but after a taste, I was all in. Side note-Would be perfect to pair with their warm centered chocolate soufflé for desert, if you are one like myself who doesn't like ice wines or ports. It's like the yang to the ying of sweetness. I had the Snapper with couscous in a tomato olive broth. A light, exceptional dish, cooked to perfection with robust flavors. The skin of the fish was crispy and the broth was not over powering. A+++ I was only planning to be in and out but with new friends, great food, and wine......we closed the place down. We ended up getting to chat with the chef at the end of the night about his/our hunting stories. Great pull from Iowa Bryan. I will definitely be returning to Savour and I will make it a point to stay in Tallahassee again, just so that I can grace the doorstep of this little hidden gem. A MUST GO TO!!!! read more

Excellent service on time, but not to be pushed. Also, very useful recommendations what and how to manage dinner order. This is the crown jewel of restaurants in Tallahassee. Victor at the bar is amazing. I had a French martini and the scallop special of the evening. It couldn't have been any better. Food, staff, and atmosphere are all 5 stars! The food was amazing. My husband had the wedge salad (he's a big wedge salad fan) and said it was one of the best wedge salads he's had. He also ordered the Superman cocktail which had an S shaped ice cube! How awesome is that? Each dish was spectacular. In addition to the lemon blueberry bread pudding for dessert we also had the Key lime pie. The key lime pie is tart as it should be. They pair the pie with moscato (which I usually won't touch with a 10 foot pole) and it's amazing. The moscato balances out the tartness of the pie. Such a good combination and finally a use for moscato. I look forward to dining here again. read more

An aroma of deliciousness greeted us as we entered this classy, cozy restaurant buzzing with conversation and sounds of satisfied customers. We didn't have reservations, but the owner gladly welcomed us to sit at the bar. Our bartender was friendly and witty. We shared a nice bottle of red wine. I ordered the Gulf Coast Bouillabaisse and my kiddos had the Beef Tips and Sous Vide Flank Steak. Everything was deliciously inspired by French and New Orleans cuisine. It's taken way too long, but we finally found our way to Savour tonight -- and it was true to every expectation. I was a huge fan of its predecessor at this location, Avenue Eat & Drink, and knew that place way too well. The makeover shepherded by owner Drew McLeod -- from decor to menu to service -- is truly masterful. It's remarkable that every high-end restaurant in this town doesn't use pressed linens, but that certainly adds to the feeling of luxury at Savour. Another expectation at a purported great restaurant is outstanding service -- and our attentive, knowledgeable (and clearly well-trained) server Tatiana was the perfect guide for tonight's culinary adventure. My starter of 3 Lobster Bao Buns had an Asian tone and were outstanding. This and a salad could be a perfect and inexpensive meal by themselves. One of my favorite seafood dishes is a bouillabaisse and it's always hard for me to pass on one when offered. Savour's version is excellent, full of shrimp, clams and grouper with shaved veggies and a rich Cajun-style broth, served with slices of crispy grilled baguette for dipping. I'm also a sucker for good onion rings so had to give theirs a try. The huge, thick slices of Vidalia sweets arrived hot, crispy and lightly battered, sided by a perfect, house-made spicy ketchup. Though all that was good, perhaps the best thing plated for us was tonight's house special -- seared scallops with andouille sausage atop a Bumpy Road grit cake with collards and a delectable gravy. Stefanie said it was the best entree she's had in memory. Sadly, we were too full to sample desserts, though I've noted a couple that we're determined to try next time. And, there definitely will be a next time -- and soon. Savour merits that. read more

This was my first time at Savour and I was very pleased with my experience. The service was a little slow but overall they operated very well. I started with the charcuterie and cheese board and it was divine. For dinner I had the Steak, it was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture. For dessert I had the chocolate and peanut butter cake, it was a little rich for me and had too much peanut butter but was still good. I like that they offer a full bar and their espresso martinis do not disappoint. The dining room is decorated very nicely and I felt like I was transported into a castle. I've been really impressed with the two visits my wife and I have had to Savour. On our second visit, we got the Lobster Steamed Bao Buns, the Sea Scallops, the 12 oz Ribeye (entree special for the night), and their Adult Key Lime Pie. * The lobster buns were good, some inconsistency in the taste of one bun to the other, but still enjoyable. * The scallops were huge, well seasoned, and melted in your mouth * The ribeye was cooked perfectly, and I really enjoyed the over-easy egg on top. * The key lime pie was very tart. I would've liked some more whipped cream or something to counter the acidity. Overall, it was a delicious meal. We love the atmosphere and decorations, and it was great meeting the owner, Drew McLeod, who came by our table and introduced himself. The food, service, and atmosphere of Savour was amazing. Every single dish we got was just as good as the other. We got the whipped feta, brown butter carrots, sweet potato arugula salad, tangine chicken, Brussels sprouts, and gulf broiled shrimp. We thought every dish was fantastic and had leftovers which was great. We were celebrating our anniversary and the entire wait staff was super nice and congratulated us. If you are looking for a Tallahassee fine dining experience, this is the go to place. We were in town for 3 nights, and I would have happily eaten every dinner here! The best restaurant in Tallahassee. The service, ambiance, and food set this restaurant above the rest. My girlfriend and I went for her birthday dinner. When we arrived, the gentleman at the front remembered my name from the reservation and remembered my girlfriend's name and that it was her birthday. He then led us to our table which had a rose, a picture frame saying happy birthday and a hand written birthday card addressed to her. The service the rest of the night was just as impressive. Savour sets the bar for how all restaurants of this quality should act. The food was just as perfect. I ordered a the Pork chop and my girlfriend ordered the steak frites. Both dishes were absolutely incredible. Both pieces of meat cooked perfectly, incredible intricate flavors and both were large portions. For dessert we got the shortcake which was also incredible (and which they comped for her birthday). For a special event, I wouldn't look any further then Savour.
