Found a dress for work that can hold me over until we get uniforms... but ya'll need to improve on your customer service skills the lady at the register was rude as hell and didn't even call us up when it was our turn and she then proceeded to have an attitude with us. Her name was Li or something like that. You're rude learn some manners. Only giving 3 stars because I found what I needed. read more

Mostly good selection of used items. There are always a handful of pickers milling about all day long, smart phone searching re sale prices etc and bum rushing the stock clerks carts to get the goods before the items can hit the shelves! Plenty of idiot parents, who dump their kids in the toy isle to seek and destroy at will. I'd hate to see these peoples households. Nice people working at this location. Always fun to drop by when in town read more

Decent selection of used books with a lot of bestsellers. When I had to find an ugly sweater for a Christmas party, this place did not disappoint. You could also drop off used stuff here. read more

I frequent this Savers and the service, for the most part, is good. (Savers Waipahu customer service sucks balls) However when I went in yesterday this boy who wrung me up carelessly tossing my items on the counter. Also, one of my shirts from the boy's section was labeled $1.99 (Those are usually the prices for shirts in the boys section). The boy looked at it turned around and proceeded to discuss the price with his coworker an older lady. He then turns to me and says this is actually $2.99. I asked why and he said a customer changed the tag. Like wtf okay. If you think about, what customer would go through all that trouble to change a tag. Wouldn't it be easier to steal it . Im not complaining about the price but damn it's a second hand store. No need make one big deal over something so small. I would like to add that before he rung me up I watched him talk story with his coworker for a while knowing there was a line. Yall should transfer him to Waipahu Savers he'll fit right in! read more

This Savers probably beats the Waipahu Savers. Its very big, decent not too dusty. Overall its a great place to find almost everything. I came here recently and I found two Manuhealii brand clothing for my children. Its perfect and I cannot wait to go back to see what else I can score from there. I also love their book section it has so many to choose from. All the books are also in pretty good condition. Overall I love this Savers, I also wouldn't mind checking the Waipahu one again. I recommend this place who loves to find stuff that is cheap and in pretty good condition. read more

Very sad. I used to be a regular. It was my place to find awesome collectibles for a great price. Now it seems that they are price matching eBay!!! eBay not retail(which sometimes can be some person asking way more than the item is worth. Recently I've seen items that are 20+ years old go for $100+ Just because it might be going for that price on the Internet it shouldn't be the price in a thrift shop that gets everything donated!!! When I asked why the high price they told me to check eBay that's what its worth. read more

Secondhand store with a great assortment of fun clothing and items. My friends and I often make a date of coming here, and we always discover some little treasure, like a brand new Desigual skirt I got for under $10! read more

They have some great decor vases and asian themed decorations here. The clothes all looked like they were in fairly good shape and some prices were even better than goodwill!!! I can already see myself coming here on a regular basis!!! read more

The big issue I have about Savers Dillingham is the customer service. Some of those cashiers are a piece of work. Their second-hand work attitude leaves a sour taste in your mouth. read more

Not a dog friendly store, they kicked me out even though I had my small dog in a bag. I've been coming here for years and haven't been hassled about it at all till today, it's not a grocery store it's a thrift store with 2nd hand items read more

Found 7 brand new New York Times best selling novels here for an affordable price, as well as really cute pair of sandals for $4.99. Always impressed with Savers no matter what state I'm in. read more

Everything is insanely overpriced!!! They are nuts!!!! They ask more for second hand, dirty coach (for example) bags, etc. than a BRAND NEW version at the Coach Outlet in waikele!!! I call BS! Plus they are FOR-PROFIT. Nothing at all charitable about them, though if you donate something they claim that it goes to charity. They have a list of charities they claim donation profits go to but you have no say on which one you want to support. The staff is very rude, they ignore customers to chat amongst themselves in a different language. read more

I love Savers because of all the sales they constantly have! I just recently got a club card with them and have been enjoying the emails about promo's and upcoming sales. They have a very wide selection of clothes, but a rather small selection of housewares and things similar to that. The one thing I really don't like about this store though, is the dressing rooms. First of all, they're not very clean, I once went in one to try on a blouse and there was juice packets with juice spilling out on the floor in the dressing room, clothes from the previous customer all over the room and finger prints all over the mirror. Also, the doors do not close very well, so I found myself holding the handle while I tried on the blouse. Other than the dressing rooms, this Savers is pretty okay in my book. I just wish they would have better customer service. read more

Today was 50% off day at Savers...Hooray!!! My daughter and I went there at 9:30 am with one objective in mind-back to school clothes. To save time, I had her wear bike shorts and a tank top so she could try on things in the aisle and not have to wait in line for a dressing room. I really like that the kids clothes are arranged by size and not by style. It meant that we stayed in the same aisle for the first half of our shopping trip. She wears a size girls 12-14 and we were able to find a ton of name brands (Roxy, Hurley Girls, Mossimo, etc) most of them still had the original tags on them. The other items we got were in nearly new condition. Once she had all of her items picked out, she stood in line to pay, while I went on the hunt for my teenaged son (who stayed home). For him, I was able to get a number of name brand "dress shorts" that retail from anywhere from $40-$70 a pair-all great condition and only $5 each. I also got him a couple of dress shirts (volcom and billabong) also only $5 each. My score for the day was a full set of golf clubs, golf bag and accessories for my son for only $20-no more borrowing my clubs to golf! I found the store to be packed with shoppers but still extremely organized. The extremely long line to pay went fast and smoothly. There was even an employee going through the line and helping to remove hangers to make the cashiering go faster. I went with a goal and was looking for very specific things and stuck to my plan. If I saw things along the way...score! And most of all, not a single person (customers or employees) was rude or unpleasant. I read previous reviews about Savers and saw that many people complained about the customer service but I have only had good experiences here and appreciate that these employees probably worked non stop today and did a great job read more

I haven't been in this store for years. I think the last time I was in here was to get a few clothing items for a 70's party. This place has some unique items at a bargain basement prices. It's great if your looking for clothes to make a Halloween costume. read more

I've been to many thrift stores on the island & in San Diego, this place is by far the best thrift store ever! some items are priced high but mostly right. I wish there was a savers here in SD! anyway, the store is clean & even has a restroom, a plus as most stores especially goodwill don't offer that convenience. read more

I am a frequent customer so I know a lot of the staff. Everyone in the store with the exception of one is so kind and helpful and willing to go out of their way. They just need a friendlier person at the door. read more

Wow, I'm surprised at some of the reviews. One says that the prices are cheaper than GW?! No way! GW prices are like $3.99 for tops, the same brand at Savers is normally around $6+. Used shoes for $14-$19? GW has the same brand (Stuart Weitzman) for $6.99! And the designer bags are just like the high end consignment store in Kahala Mall! Sure they are designer, but this is a THRIFT store for USED items! For instance, SA had an authentic Coach bag for $15. At Savers a similar bag was well over $100! Yikes! I go for bargains, not to feel like I'm shopping in a bricks and morter ebay store. I have do add, I just went again around Feb 9. I saw a Cuisinart pan with lid listed for $49 and a Rachel Ray cast iron pot for $69! INSANE!! Who in the world buys these things at those prices? The only thing i can imagine is that people wait for them to go on half off sale during the holidays. I guess they know people will pay the prices so Savers management will continue to be a high priced thrift store. On the upside, they are fairly clean for this type of store and keep things pretty organized which helps in finding stuff. I also notice that they now spray Febreeze on all cloth items so the store doesn't have that "thrift store smell". read more

Love this place! Not for you if you don't want to look through everything to find those particular style/brand you want... You need to make time to go through all the racks...I always find great bargains here and people always ask me where I get the item from. Some clothes are really new, great condition, and occasionally you'll find some stained clothes. Savers really vamped up their display racks making it look a lot better and slightly more upscale than before. I now go there for denim jeans (yes, they have really small sizes up to really plus sizes), maternity clothes (small selection, but decent), and ESPECIALLY the Infant clothes (always finding the name brands and totally cute without stains!)... Prices are decent....found jeans around $9.99 and under and Infant clothes to be about $3.99 and under. Love their color tag system because they always have some sort of sale on a particular color, or military discount day, or senior citizen discount day. Don't forget that if you bring in donations I think they give you a coupon when you shop there... Lots of parking in the dillingham store (and don't forget that there's another Savers in Waipahu). read more

I've been a long time customer of Savers as well as a donor. To me this is like Hawaii's biggest garage sale under one roof. They have a plethora of items from household goods to clothing to shoes to bags, etc. You name it, they probably have it or will have it. Since they sell donated items, there is a constant turnover and if you want it, you'd better get it when you see it. I haven't been as lucky as the folks on Antique Road Show but haven't done too badly shopping at Savers. Once I got a Robert Marbles limited edition Lithograph for $9.99 and normal sell price is about $100 - $150. My daughter who works as a nurse, gets her scrubs from Savers for a fraction of what it would cost new. My wife got a new slow cooker for only $8.99 There's a few things to know if you shop here. First buy books in groups of five because usually if you buy 4 and the fifth book is free. The free book wil be the cheapest one. Second, when buying CD's open the case and make sure the CD is there. Once in a while someone will steal the CD and leave the case. Third, the only AC plug to test lamps or other electrical appliances is at the front of the store by the large windows. Savers Policy is if it doesn't work, bring the item back within a week and they'll give you credit. (BTW this also works on video game cartridges.) Fourth, the more valuable items are in the showcases at the front of the store and a clerk will need to open the case for you. They do have a frequent shopper program and you can get a flier from a clerk or sign up on-line. They'll send you special offers or notices of special sales for Saver Club Card member. It's always fun to shop and donate items. I will say the oddest thing I've seen them sell was someone's burial urn. (And no, there were no ashes inside, I checked.) Stop by and have fun looking for treasures at Savers! read more

Came in here today to kill some time thrifting. We always check out the book section and today we totally scored! My 3rd grader found a whole bunch of book sets she wanted and started throwing them into the cart. We ended up with 25 chapter books and with the buy 4 get one free deal PLUS a 30% off stamp card it all came out to under $17. That's the price of just one book alone full retail! We also scored several foam heads for next Halloween's props. Awesome. This location has a good variety of both used items and new items so we got some gloves and knit head wraps for our upcoming trip to Oregon. The only reason I deducted a star is because of the bathroom. Eek. It could use a good renovation or at least an hourly cleaning but I guess customers are lucky to have one available at all. Overall I like coming to this location to browse. Most of the time we do come away with some awesome finds. read more

Savers - 25 children's chapter books for $17! Score! - Thrift Stores Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Great deals on books, clothes, and toys! Got to have the time to really look thru the racks tho. Some items can be a little dirty but no big deal, its used after all and at good prices, just wash them. : ) read more

I have always donated to savers but I decided to checkout the store to see if they may have some items that I was looking for for work and my friends kid! Savers is one of those places that you have to really look good! There are many things at reasonable prices and some items that I can get new for a cheaper price at a store in the mall! It is a matter of searching as with any store! I am not sure I will be shopping there but I will continue to donate items because they do support many non-profit agencies which I so love about them! read more

I would definitley recommend Savers for baseball card and memorabilia collectors. When I was little, my dad would take me there whenever we wouldn't have anything to do and we'd go straight to the toy aisle and see a load of baseball cards and balls that were priced under a dollar each. I was looking through all of the stuff I got from there a couple years ago and found a rookie cards of Barry Bonds, Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza. Somehow I even got an autographed baseball card from Hall of Famer, Willie Stargell. read more

When I came to hawaii to visit my boyfriend i found he lives in a tiny apartment with only a hotplate. I love to cook and I am not into eating out every night. i have had a life long affair with saver's. my love blossomed into full blown obsession in highschool. weird, cheap clothes? yes, please! to this day i go through each row, whether it's xs or xxxl, men's or women's, pants or knick knacks- must admit i avoid the undies/swim suit section, though some of the lingerie there is great for a laugh. it's a good place to find staple office clothes: black pants, skirts, etc. and tops. my friend shaina and i are notorious for spending no less than 4 hours here every time we go. in fact, i just got back from saver's with an arms full of halloween items. go savers! read more

You've gotta be a real treasure hunter at this place! There's just too much stuff! And you gotta watch out for stains and holes. And it's kinda ooogie to try on the clothes...you never know who died in them! And they're supposed to wash them but I guess they get all dirty again from people trying them on. I wish they never closed the one in Kailua side. Waipahu's one isn't quite as pilau but it's not that far ahead either. I think goodwill is a little more sanitary! I guess you get what you pay for! But some of their clothes is actually priced kinda high! Like they actually paid for it or something! Hello, they are used and the price shouldn't go up just because they recognize a name brand. If that is the case they should just cut off all the tags! Nah, but it is an adventure! read more

If I want discount stuff, usually go to Ross, but this blows other stores out of water.

Really clean and organized. A lot of knick knacks and kitchen ware! Found a couple clothes for my daughter that was still in good condition that were only $2 each item. This location also has a lot of books. 3 stars because of the fact it was a good store, but as I exited out of the store, none of the workers offered to open the bigger space to pass through with my stroller. I literally had to shove my way out in between those small metal poles with my daughter. smdh! read more

After years of going there for mostly around the house clothes ( t-shirts and shorts ) I have finally discovered the books. I didn't realize they were so nicely orgainized and marked. I can't believe the good selection they have there. I just bought Tatum O'Neal's new book for $ 6.00. I would have paid $ 26.00 for it at the book store. It is a brand new hard cover copy. SCORE ! read more

I love Savers. Ok. If you have the time and the patience to go through every single thing on the rack, you can find some really good clothing here. I sometimes think that for a thrift store the prices are a bit steep. i wish they had more miscellaneous things. Great place to find a creative halloween costume or household goods that you need, but really don't want to dish out the cash to pay for it. read more

We were on the hunt for some furniture and was thrift store hopping around the islands. The place is surprisingly pretty big, lots of clothing! I think I would get tired from looking at the isle and isle of clothing. They had a good section on housing (plates, glasses, etc.), books, and shoes but no furniture. So it didn't do it for me, but Im sure to those that were looking for clothes found some good steals. read more

I'm not even going to lie, Saver's is one of my favorite stores. Now I know a good deal of people think it's gross or cheap to buy things from a thrift store but honestly, it's not bad at all. I don't necessarily go to Saver's for clothes (Even though they have a HUGE selection) I actually go for the little knick knacks and bobbles. I'm obsessed with three very different things. 1) Harry Potter 2) Vintage items (Mostly books) Recently I visited this saver's and I found things that rightly fit into those two categories. While I was looking around, I found an old victorian style scrapbook. It looks like it would be good for a craft considering I have a million scrapbooks. The other thing I found was a Harry Potter chess set. A few weeks ago I was looking at the detailed ones online for like $35, HOWEVER, in Saver's I found the same pieces in a bag for $2.99. Ugh can I say YAY! Haha basically I'm trying to say that I love this place and I'm going to be there many times more in the future. read more

Savers Kalihi...the other Savers besides my local Waipahu one. This place is almost as good as Waipahu. I've noticed I find the best workout clothes here (scored some great stuff on the 50% off days), but that Waipahu has a better towel/sheet selection, as well as more designer jeans. That's why I hit up both on the club card 50% off days! Got my boyfriend hooked as well. He's gotten at least a dozen pair of high quality jeans for work for $3.50 a pair on sale days (Lucky, Levi's, etc). Plus plenty of workout shirts and shorts! Even though the lines are super long on sale days, they move fast! 10-15 minutes max, so don't be turned off by that! Just get your goods and get in line, I promise they move you through fast! read more

Clean and lots of great buys. I like the fact that there's AC and it's not musky like other second hand stores.

I agree with other posters who mention the prices being high. They are definitely move than good will but the quality seems a little better. I know when I go in there that it is going to be clean and easy to find what I need. Shopping during the discounted days helps but you just have to weigh the pros and cons of new vs. used. I like this one though and have an enjoyable experience and not a stressful one like when I go to other thrift stores. read more
