Does anyone else go thrifting when you are on vacation? I've been to this Savers thrift store a couple of times now. We don't have Savers where I live, but I wish we did. The store is FOR profit, but does donate some items to a non for profit. This location offers some unusual merchandise due to the international population in Hawaii. I found several interesting paintings and vintage Christmas decor. My daughter likes to find craft supplies for the kids. The prices have gone way up on some merchandise since my visit last year. The store is well organized with most of the inventory being clothing. The parking on the lower level is hard to come by, but there is plenty of parking in the upstairs parking garage. If you donate something, they will give you a coupon for 20% off. Also, on Tuesdays, seniors receive 30% off. I've never bought anything after several visits. Time would be better spent at the beach.

More than just saving... This review is all about donation and I'm so sad to have lost Ross as this was my favorite location we did get Savers and though it's not the place that I frequent it's great that they have a space designated to drop off your items. This Moili'ili location that right across the street from Old Stadium Park and though they do have great amount of free parking just steps from their front door majority of the time is all totally full as I'm here to just drop off some items that I wanted to donate it's so easy as there's a designated spot for you to park and drop off so easy with a staff standing by just for that. Loved that they game me a 20% off discount coupon for the donation which gives it a full circle of necessity as I gave up items that are no longer needed in trade to shop for items that are available is a great option though Savers is different way of thrifting as some of the prices are not quite friendly but to create and declutter your space is very friendly. Thank you!

Donation in Moiliili, Honolulu, Hawaii... I haven't been to this new location of Savers yet... and I had a bag of stuff to donate... Let's go! The Kalihi location of Savers supposedly moved here... This used to be a Ross! The free parking in the front is a bit small and busy. There's more parking upstairs - just drive up the ramp and take the elevator down. Inside, the interior is spacious, clean, and air-conditioned! It's organized into categories such as - books, kitchen supplies, clothing, shoes, bags, socks, and jewelry: better pieces in the display cases in the front and costume jewelry hanging at the ends of some of the racks. I donated my goods outside of the store. The helpful young man was efficient and friendly. He gave me a 20% off coupon that expires at the end of the year... yay! I'll be back!

Loving this new location of Savers! Super convenient location along South King Street, across from Old Stadium Park, before Isenberg St. This used to be a Ross, Longs Drugs, Payless, and I want to say Pay N' Save (it's been too long lol). It's always been a place to save! There's parking out front, and an additional two levels of parking up the ramp located before the street level parking. You can drive to it from there if there's no open space out front. Just be careful when driving around here cause there are a lot of oblivious drivers who don't look at any signs or have any common sense...they like drive da wrong way. I've frequented this Savers a lot. Maybe too much, but I have a lot of stuff to donate and I like finding gems! The donation area is super convenient. You just pull up, and the attendants can help you unload your donations into their bins. You'll receive a 20% off coupon, a survey to get $2 off $5 purchase, and a tax deduction paper if you need. The attendants are very friendly and helpful. I can say the same to the entire Savers staff. Everyone is genuinely happy and friendly. Of all the people I've asked, they all love the new store and the clean environment (hopefully, it can stay that way). Many lived near the previous location, but don't mind the longer commute to the new location. A big plus is they manage to keep the store neat and organized. Sure, eventually it'll be messed by the customers, and the toy section will be ravaged by kids, but overall, they do an excellent job. The pricing is generally fair. Some prices are a little crazy, and I've noticed an increase by a dollar or two on certain items already. It's still an awesome deal with coupons. Also, they still do the half off discount on certain colors, but you gotta ask! Overall, I enjoy coming here. It's too hard to not come in and take a quick look as the location is super convenient. Donating is the best. Easy and you get coupons! You hear that Goodwill? What happened to your coupons?? The staff is great here, and the store is still clean and they do a good job keeping it as organized as can be. Prices are OKAY, but you can see some items have been researched and priced at value than thrift values.

Grand opening weekend very crowded it's like a indoor swap meet . Savers located in the old Ross's space on King St. lots of racks of used merchandise and also some new items as well. Small parking lot in front of the store although lots of parking on the 2nd and 3rd floor same like before when Ross was in business. Lots of self check out registers also regular registers as well. Donation area is in the front of the building with a roll up garage gate. Also you can also go into the store and donate your goods . Customer service was great everyone gets greeted when they enter the store also when donated your donation they thank you for your donation and give a receipt for tax purpose if needed . This particular store is basically the main store because the Kalihi Savers is closed . Support local

My husband's family still uses something like this because it works and it's amazing! She got a good find that day!

It seems like this location has more space than the old one, but looking back it may just be the same size, the aisles just got smaller. The parking lot is small and moves in a one way direction. I saw the building itself has a parking structure, but I don't know how to access it so I have no opinion on it. But leaving the parking lot can get risky because you have to cross over to the next lane almost blind since it's blocked by cars parked on the street - be careful when driving! The items here seemed fairly priced, sometimes, and my friend did find some good deals for street style for only $2! Also, if you move to the island, why buy pots and pans and dishes when savers has a plethora for you - I even saw completed plate sets! And when I was leaving I saw someone found this grill that my husband's family still uses because it's high quality! That grill is older than us and it's still going, she found a gem for sure! Overall, thrifting is a treasure hunt, and it's called buried treasure for a reason, you really gotta look to find that Diamond in the rough. As a new Savers store, this place is great, but I sure do hope in the next few years they'll be able to keep it clean. BUT as customers, we could all help too by only donating clean items people will ACTUALLY use, and keeping the store organized as we walk around.

I love thrifting, and was able to find a few items I liked. They have lots to look through in a smaller space than in the states (which makes sense)! There prices were fair compared to the states and I found a pair of Nike shorts and a tshirt for $12. They also had a cool airplane rack.

So I went in to see what it had. Rusty pots and pans, furniture that looked broken, and everything was a bit overpriced. Some of the things you can get new and in good condition for less than a dollar more. The greeter was good enough, but that was the only pleasant thing in there. The store smells kind of rank, considering it opened a month ago. Honestly, people are better off doing their shopping at Ross.

I really like this store! I found some great deals, and Member Monday helped get the price down. No fitting room, though.

It's hit or miss but I usually leave with at least one good find. It's a fun way to decompress after a busy day at work.

They price things really high, near retail value. Really disappointing to see. This is not how savers used to be.

The shop opened at 9:30am and the small parking lot was already full so I waited in my car on the driveway in front of the door while about a dozen seniors stood patiently waiting for the store to open. Since I was unable to park once the doors opened I left my door open and ran into the shop to get help getting my stuff out of my trunk. The lovely lady who opened the door grabbed her little wagon and walked out with me so I could empty my trunk. Callie answered my questions about the community work the AL does with other non-profit organizations in Waikiki and the origins of the Assistance League. Apparently they sometimes acquire some precious pieces that go up for auction so if you're game, check their website for more information. I plan to spend some time here in the future to see what gems they have to offer. They may be smaller than the large thrift stores but they're local and they give back to the community they serve

As the song goes, "Hey, Macklemore, can we go thrift shopping?"…read more The answer is yes. Have you seen this economy? Let's get the bad out of the way first: Parking can be bad. Especially if you are there when people are donating as donors will often block the every car in the small lot by parking in the middle and having volunteers help unload. The parking is one way which creates the problem. I strongly recommend parking on Young street to avoid getting blocked in. Hours are very limited. Now on to the good: - Friendly volunteers with good organizational skills. - Low prices for most items especially home goods and they also test the electronic home goods. - Lots of seasonal items and a fair amount of non seasonal arts and crafts. - Air conditioned. - Very central location for people who live in town and you can make this a thrift shop crawl as as Central Union's thrift shop is 1/4 of a mile away and Goodwill is 1/2 a mile away. - Tax deductible if you donate. So you may only have $20 in your pocket, but that is enough to walk out of here with plenty of quality goods.

I figured instead of…read moredonating everything, which would be easiest, I'd try to sell some of my things and try consignment. That's how I found Eco Town. I've walked pass this store several times over the years at Ala Moana and never knew what it was. They do have some really nice high end items that are being sold on eBay. Got to Ala Moana Tuesday morning at 10 am when they opened up. My family and I were buzzed into the store. I said I wanted to sell items to them. We were told only bags, purses, muumuus, aloha shirt ok, but no shoes or toys. The three items I could sell to them was a new with tags Michael kors purse I bought in 2020 that I never used. People online were selling the same purse at $255, a 2013 San Diego comic con original Batman cast swag bag and a new and unused Victoria secret marketing bag. The very sweet clerk put the items into a bin, gave me number and said it would take 30-mins to review the items. We took a few minutes to browse the store and they do have some really nice items. Really good place to come to if you were eying a specific LV purse a few years ago that sold out before you could get to it. It might be here for a few $100 less. Im told that LVs in good condition tend to keep their value. I didn't have breakfast so we headed to the food court. While eating, got a phone call that they were done with evaluating the items. I kind of knew what I was going to be offered for my MK purse and I got a bit more than I expected. For the other two items, I'm surprised I got an offer but they were in really good condition. All in all, I made $51. This was a great learning experience and we will definitely be back to both sell and shop. Next, looking forward to trying a consignment closet.

I never ever considered shopping at a second hand store let alone to sell my items that I no longer need/use that I usually do donate rather than to just toss it away is always a great solution not just to make some extra money but just knowing that it's not the end of the road for many loved items. If Eco-Town Select which is located ocean side in Ala Moana Center is located on the street level which is one level below the mall level sounds familiar they do have Eco Town in Iwilei which does buy more standard item while this Ala Moana location is much more selected. It's understandable and quite refreshing to see their inventory of upscale and brand name items along with more popular trend items as well. While I was browsing around I was more interested in some of their jewelry more costume ones that were holiday themed that I do have an idea for its use is cool to see along with vintage Japan Airline bags, various brand Aloha Shirts, totes, shoes and even Disney ears which I have a similar one that lights up. The staff there is friendly as they greet each guests that walks in the door and even made sure that they're always open to purchase our items. Small business like this that gives items life is great as the price isn't only that's nice but the selection of item that's selected as well. Thank you!
