I really like this store! I found some great deals, and Member Monday helped get the price down. No fitting room, though.

Does anyone else go thrifting when you are on vacation? I've been to this Savers thrift store a couple of times now. We don't have Savers where I live, but I wish we did. The store is FOR profit, but does donate some items to a non for profit. This location offers some unusual merchandise due to the international population in Hawaii. I found several interesting paintings and vintage Christmas decor. My daughter likes to find craft supplies for the kids. The prices have gone way up on some merchandise since my visit last year. The store is well organized with most of the inventory being clothing. The parking on the lower level is hard to come by, but there is plenty of parking in the upstairs parking garage. If you donate something, they will give you a coupon for 20% off. Also, on Tuesdays, seniors receive 30% off. I've never bought anything after several visits. Time would be better spent at the beach. read more

The place has alot of cool stuff! But, the prices are atrocious and insulting. I can get the same type of clothing from Salvation Army & Goodwill for ALOT cheaper. Some of the price point comparison ranges are just a little higher and equal to Old Navy & Ross & Marshall's...I might as well spend my money at those places, rather than going to a thrift store such as Savers. read more

The savings is here... With much anticipation we have Savers here on South King Street in the former Ross location across Old Stadium Park and I couldn't be more exited. With a decent amount of parking available in their own private lot giving you much advantage to shop and donate makes it a great convenience to find that deal and hidden treasure as walking in I was just so surprised how huge the layout and am so impressed with how organized and clean they had kept it all with so much inventory from clothing, household to sporting goods they pretty much have it all. I did enjoy coming here to browse and felt a bit nostalgic with some items from biz that's long gone though some of the prices felt a bit harsh I do understand that it's all a great cause noted on the huge sign at the front and knowing that your unwanted items that find loving home versus the landfill is something we must keep in mind and having a designated "Donation Center" drop off area has now got me excited to do so and have me thinking of purging unwanted items. I'm so disappointed in this place. They OVERCHARGE TO THE MAX. It's disgusting to see a "non profit" company take advantage of donations and charge so much. They had SHEIN brand, and cheaper brands charging for the full price! Tank tops are $8, dresses are $15-20 (not good brands). I don't understand! Loving this new location of Savers! Super convenient location along South King Street, across from Old Stadium Park, before Isenberg St. This used to be a Ross, Longs Drugs, Payless, and I want to say Pay N' Save (it's been too long lol). It's always been a place to save! There's parking out front, and an additional two levels of parking up the ramp located before the street level parking. You can drive to it from there if there's no open space out front. Just be careful when driving around here cause there are a lot of oblivious drivers who don't look at any signs or have any common sense...they like drive da wrong way. I've frequented this Savers a lot. Maybe too much, but I have a lot of stuff to donate and I like finding gems! The donation area is super convenient. You just pull up, and the attendants can help you unload your donations into their bins. You'll receive a 20% off coupon, a survey to get $2 off $5 purchase, and a tax deduction paper if you need. The attendants are very friendly and helpful. I can say the same to the entire Savers staff. Everyone is genuinely happy and friendly. Of all the people I've asked, they all love the new store and the clean environment (hopefully, it can stay that way). Many lived near the previous location, but don't mind the longer commute to the new location. A big plus is they manage to keep the store neat and organized. Sure, eventually it'll be messed by the customers, and the toy section will be ravaged by kids, but overall, they do an excellent job. The pricing is generally fair. Some prices are a little crazy, and I've noticed an increase by a dollar or two on certain items already. It's still an awesome deal with coupons. Also, they still do the half off discount on certain colors, but you gotta ask! Overall, I enjoy coming here. It's too hard to not come in and take a quick look as the location is super convenient. Donating is the best. Easy and you get coupons! You hear that Goodwill? What happened to your coupons?? The staff is great here, and the store is still clean and they do a good job keeping it as organized as can be. My daughter wanted to go Thrifting looking for good deals for clothes. We typically go to Goodwill, we've never been to Savers. We checked out this location located in the Kalihi area. Parking is plentiful and free. The store in general was quite sparse, a lot of clothes, but not much else. They were no dressing rooms, which was a total bummer, since you just have to eyeball the clothes and hope that it fits. I did join the Savers club which send you emails for savings and coupons. We found out later that this location closed, but that they're opening a new location in the Moilili area. Hopefully this location actually has fitting rooms! read more

It's hit or miss but I usually leave with at least one good find. It's a fun way to decompress after a busy day at work.

I love thrifting, and was able to find a few items I liked. They have lots to look through in a smaller space than in the states (which makes sense)! There prices were fair compared to the states and I found a pair of Nike shorts and a tshirt for $12. They also had a cool airplane rack. read more

So I went in to see what it had. Rusty pots and pans, furniture that looked broken, and everything was a bit overpriced. Some of the things you can get new and in good condition for less than a dollar more. The greeter was good enough, but that was the only pleasant thing in there. we came all the way from kalihi at it's 7:30 and when we checked what time they close the store says 9 but the people would not let us in and I told the guy they're supposed to be open till nine. He said oh no we go home at nine so I don't know why they didn't let us in but that's pretty messed up. They need to change the time on the store hours, if that's the case. read more

Customer service was poor today. Noticed that the younger staff at this location are not very helpful and often look disturbed and irritated. Even when trying best to move out of their way as they approach with new racks, staff have no courtesy and insist on proceeding without acknowledging the efforts of shoppers who have consideration for their job take to keep the aisles clear. Possibly just frustrated with the other inconsiderate shoppers that share the space, however, my suggestion is that customer service becomes a priority, it shouldn't NOT be expected just because it's a thrift store. In particular, a younger Caucasian female named Angelica, rudely and loudly asked me "could you please not touch the close until it's on the rack" I apologized and stated that I wasn't aware that we weren't able to pursue the clothes racks as I know that rule is for the wares cart (there is a sign to advise everyone to wait until the rack is unloaded) Angelica rudely responded "the rule goes for everything coming out of the back". Still disturbed with the way Angelica addressed me about touching the clothes on the rack, I walked around to look for her to ask her why there were no signs on the clothes racks to advise us not to pursue the rack? Her response "it's a new rule and they don't have enough signs to post on the clothes racks" unsatisfied with her response I walked away and decided to write this review. Savers in general has been a great go to spot to buy lightly used and sometimes new items at a decent price and I love that we have this store in our community, but respect cannot be thrifted, no such thing as second hand courtesy. This location is fairly easy to get to via bus. This store has lot of things: clothes, art, home goods , pots and pans, etc. On this trip I was able to find a used coffee grinder for $10. Please note that when buying used items from here you will need to clean/deep clean items. For $10 , I didn't mind deep cleaning the coffee grinder I bought. Just letting you know, in case cleaning or deep cleaning is a deal breaker for you. read more

I enjoy shopping here so much. The prices are reasonable and some items are new with the tags on them. When I'm looking for something I often go there and I usually find what I need. I needed a pie plate and Amazon was selling it for $25.00. Walmart, Ross and TJ Maxx didn't have any so I decided to go to Savers and found one for $4.49 plus my donation discount. Ran it through the dishwasher and it looked almost brand new. My biggest complaint is for the size of the store there should be a public bathroom, when I asked an attendant there I was told that "the bathrooms are closed on the weekends." So Ladies and Gentleman especially with kids make sure they use the bathroom before you go. Otherwise I like it there. read more

We had time to kill and although not a traditional tourist thing to do while in Honolulu, we decided to go thrift shopping. We chose Savers since it was the closest to us at a distance of 1.5 miles walking. When I first walked in, I was impressed by not only the size of the store but honestly, their organization!! I always enjoy a retail shop that spends time in their organizing. As I was commenting this thought to my friend, an employee passed by and thanked me for saying that. It shows when management and employees take the time and take pride in their store. Everything was labeled and its proper department. There were lots of employees walking around putting items on racks and shelves. There was a lot of merchandise. My friend and I found a lot of good deals and at good prices. I wish we had more room in our suitcase to take home more stuff. There were lots of self serve checkouts with an easy transaction process. A clothing store with no fitting room!! Even goodwill and many other thrift stores have a fitting room. Since COVID they closed them and just never put them back. And their return policy is such that you can get a store credit with 14 days - but only valid for a same day new purchase!! Ridiculous and poor business strategy. I used to choose Savers over Goodwill but its almost impossible to get dresses or pants anymore. I buy my size and they end up not fitting in some particular way. From my experience this is prob the most abundant of all the thrift stores I've seen here, but there are both pros and cons with that. Pros: super large selection, lots of clothes for the entire family. Some fantastic brand names, I got my daughter a Patagonia jacket and my son some Levi's both in great condition for under $10 for both. Tons of puzzles, games, and books for kids. Lots of variety in the home goods section and a ton of aloha print high end shirts for men. They have sales on certain days and if you donate some stuff you can get a 20% off coupon for shopping. I love that it promotes sustainability and less consumerism. Cons: some things are priced too high for second hand store. One of the items has the original price tag on it, and it was priced higher than the original price tag! You have to be careful and make sure that what you are buying is good quality fabric and not overly used. That means taking your time. I def wouldn't come here if you're in a rush or have your kids with you. Location is hard for me, I wish they had an option closer to the East side. Over all, this place is amazing for finding treasures at a low price. It helps to encourage reducing and reusing as much as we can! read more

Hubby and I have been here lots of times and I managed to find some cute jean shorts and cute tops here. They didn't look too run down but definitely worth purchasing some clothing. Hubby says sometimes you get clothing for brand new if you look hard enough. The inside was fairly organized but we didn't find a vacuum hubby wanted here. I have seen brand names like Coach here and some good clothing brands. I don't think I would purchase anything else other than clothing here. I make sure to wash the clothing before wearing it. You never know. Plenty of parking up front but it does get busy here. Highly recommend this location. As with all places, they do take donations here as well. read more

My friend bought a condo in Hawaii Kai and needed lots of stuff. On her list was shower curtain rings and hangers. On most Holidays, prices are half off, so, of course I got these items for her on Memorial Day! Since I'm there, I usually bring a bag of donations. It's a useful way to clear my house a bit, right? Savers used to be a great place to go thrifting, that was back when i was in college 2013. But this past few years have been ridiculous. Most of the items are priced like they didn't get their products out from donations. There are times where it's more expensive to shop here rather than shopping at Ross, Marshall, even Target. Lol! I find this particular location about 80-90% organize. There's a lot of workers working around to fix the items on the floor. Specially now that it's all self check out lol They have bathroom and there's a code to go inside, a worker would punch it for you and let you in. sometimes they wait for you to come out so they can make sure it'll be close again. so not surprisingly clean. It looks clean and smells clean. A lot of fake designer bags which they price from $200++ Always always involving the cops when there's shoplifters. Every Monday is 25-30% off for Everybody. Every Tuesday is Senior Day, 30% off must be 55 years young. They have 50% off for color of the week, It's posted on their white board every time, right side when you enter the door. It runs from Thurs-Tues i believe. When you donate, You get a 20% off coupon & a $2 off $5 purchase when you do a survey. If you purchase something, You can also do the survey to get that $2 off. They open at 9am and close at 8p but area is already dark at 7p and no more that much people. They open same time Sundays but closes an hour earlier. Overall, If i live in between Savers Kalihi & Savers Waipahu, I'd drive to Waipahu. They have better stuffs and more reasonable pricing. read more

It feels like a Ross store set up design with large red signs above showing you the items. Drive up donation is easy. 2 stalls in red and they help you with your donation items. This is the best thrift store around. There was a lot of merchandise to shop through, especially in regard to books. If you walk out empty-handed, you must have had your eyes closed the entire time. Ha ha! The dressing rooms are closed to the public, but that didn't stop me from purchasing two shirts I knew would fit. The cashiers were attentive and efficient in their job duties.
