So now after my response to Mavis and their business practices here on Yelp referencing the litigation they had brought against them in the Atlanta area for what they are doing here have filed a complaint against me. This is fantastic. If you don't like the truth and what is being stated then maybe the company as a whole needs to change their practices and actually look at their branches and ensure they have trustworthy and qualified employee's. I will say this for the Mavis employee, branch owner, or whoever your representative is that filed the complaint please make sure you have the documentation in place and the records because I do and I am ready for your company because I will not be silent and you will not bully me as a consumer. they don't even deserve a star! Long story short, I went for a break, change and left with more issues. When I returned to have my brakes checked to be sure they were put on correctly, I was told I needed all new calipers which should not have been the case sonde mycar is only three years old unless the calipers were not retracted when putting on the pads. I then, I took my vehicle to a local privately owned mechanic to find out the pads were put on wrong, and my rear passenger brake was not even touching the rotor! My local mechanic stated that they have to repair damaged vehicles are from previously being worked on at Mavis.. I do not recommend even an oil change at Mavis sent. They are also known to add power steering fluid into where the oil goes and not putting lug nuts back on tires. read more

I stopped by the Mavis location at the corner of Drayton and Henry in Savannah, and ordered four tires (GT Radial Savero HT2 Owl) for my car on Tuesday (10/19) and was told that they would be in the store the following day (10/20) after 2:30. I called on 10/20 and was informed that the tires had not yet arrived but they should be in the next day (10/21). I called on 10/21 and was told that two tires had been delivered. When I informed the Mavis rep that I had ordered four tires, he told me that they could order two more tires but did not know when they would arrive. Suffice it to say that I am going elsewhere and will never go back to these clowns. I suppose this is what happens when a local company gets bought out - everything goes to crap. My husband and I have been here various times and every single time we leave with some other issue. We ended up having our tire pressure sensors replaced here (not a cheap repair), but still the dashboard indicated an error...the staff would just tell us it would turn off on its own after a week, and if it didn't we could bring the car back in for them to turn it off manually (this has happened on several occassions now, and of course the light never turns off on its own...). Months after they manually turned the light off, the light would STILL come back on. When we finally brought her to the dealership, they discovered the sensors in the car are bootleg and likely died whenever the error light came back on (i.e. 2-4 weeks after the fact)...we are LIVID. Before I was willing to tolerate the hours-long wait times, but this profound waste of our time AND money is where I draw the line. Don't waste your time here. read more

WAS A 5 STAR, NOW A 2 STAR! 7 years a customer. Wont be 8! New Mavis Tire management is destroying what used to be stellar service. Made appointment week earlier. Show up on time (early) and wait 35 minutes past apt time to find out tires are on their way to the store. New hire and a grease covered mechanic checking people in and out leads me to believe previous manager quit. Used to be great but not any more. I went in for a simple fluid check/change and new tires. I left with my car driving at a higher RPM when traveling at speeds over 50 MPH, a persistent thumping similar to a baseball card in bicycle spokes, a hell of a vibration generated at speed of 60 MPH, didn't balance my tires correctly; that is to say weights on the wheel-well side of the tires and not even balancing the left wheels, the left tire pressure sensors weren't even put back in; and when I had pay for new ones they still left the broken sensors in the tires; meaning all they did was charge me and then force clear the code in the computer to ignore the fault; I don't even know if they replaced my fluids besides my windshield wiper fluid. I got new tires. On my fiancee's car on a previous visit, they took off her skid plate thinking that was the way to access her oil filter; when they attempted to put the skid plate back on the didn't secure it with all the bolts, causing it to partially hang down and creating a potential hazard for us. I'm in EMS, it's the little things that can either save or kill a patient. When working with other peoples cars, it's the same way. Not balancing tires properly leads to irregular wear that will destroy the tire quicker and potentially cause a horrible blowout leading to an accident that I would have respond to. Not attaching a skid plate back onto a car correctly could cause it to get trapped on something in the road and ripped off; damaging the car it came from in an unknown number of ways and potentially causing it, or pieces of it, to go flying into the cars behind you on the roadway creating an accident that I may have to respond to. Force clearing faults and having the computer ignore legitimate problems is incredibly dangerous for all drivers on the road, unethical, immoral, and incredibly lackadaisical. Get your act together. Because maybe a bad review from me will be the least of your worries in the future. Lawyers from a future customer are a lot meaner than I am. read more

My alternator died suddenly on Saturday around 4:00pm, about an hour before most auto shops close. From start to finish, Savannah Tire was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond any expectations I could have ever had for this experience. A huge thank you to Griffin, for waiting after hours for the tow truck to arrive, explaining everything in detail to me, answering any questions I had, and for putting my mind at ease. By 10am Monday morning, I received a voicemail from Griffin detailing the exact cost of the repairs, timeline, as well as my car was if not in line then already being worked on that morning. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. My friend had a blow out and needed to get a new tire put on his rim as the new spare. Long story short, it took three weeks for this place to handle it. My friend had been out of town for that time and not in communication with the store. The store never contacted him during that time to tell him it was ready because, guess why, the person who checked him in, never actually put a work order in the system and when he went back to pick it up, there was nothing in the system regarding it ! They didn't even know where his tire was ! They invited him to look around the shop for it, yeah even I know that customers aren't supposed to be in the shop because of insurance reasons but I guess these "professionals" aren't aware of that. He told them that they needed to find it. As he was leaving the store, they miraculously found his old tire and told him it would be fixed and to come back at X time to pick it up. Guess what ? The time that the guy told him was an hour after the store closed so my friend left work to come get it for nothing. (SMH) Anyways, the Sunday following, I went with my friend to pick it up. I was sitting in the car waiting for him and someone (not my friend) came to put it in the back of the car. I don't think this guy knew I was in the car because he slammed the rear door of the SUV HARD. The whole car shook hard. I stormed in to the store and told them off. The mechanic who put the tire in made a lame excuse about making sure the door was shut. No dude, you slammed it on purpose. He didn't even apologize. After i told him to shut up, the guy at the counter told me to leave the store which I did . I told him I would never be back. They both told me that they had plenty of business without me. What kind of circus are they running here ? I told them that you do not treat someone else's property like this. Savannah Tire would never act like this towards a customer. I've been a customer of this place for 6 years. I loved it when it was Savannah Tire. You were in and out in about 5 minutes when dropping off and the work was done when they said it would be done. Now that it has become Mavis, it's like walking in to a McDonalds. No one really moving fast, takes about 20 minutes for them to check you in for a simple oil change. I've been meaning to get a new place but gave them one last chance because they are right around the corner from me. Again 20 minutes of checking in for a car that has been in their system for 6 years. For some reason they have to go look at the car and fiddle on the computer when I used to just drop off the key once I told them what I wanted. FInally get a "you're all set" from the guy for an oil change and give him the key. "How long do you think it'll take?" "We're not very busy so about 2 hrs max". 2hrs later... "I'm here for my car".......10 minutes of fumbling around with paperwork and talking to other employees, then told "you're the next one to go in, we've been really busy today" Done with this place read more

I ordered 2 tires online through Savannah tire on Monday and made the appointment for 9am Wednesday (received confirmation email on my appointment) When I got there at 9:00 a.m. all was good and they said come back in an hour you'll be all set - great! However, I came back in an hour or so and was informed that the tires would not be there until 12::00. What, for my 9am APPOINTMENT? Thought we were all set when I left my car in their care, but nobody even bothered to check to see if my tires were even there. They tried to offer me another type of tire, but I wanted the tires that I had ordered as they matched the other 2 tires I have on my car. So, I sucked it up and killed 3 more hours walking around Savannah and went back to Savannah Tire about 1:15. I was informed that the truck with the tires had not arrived yet. Now I am pissed. I asked assistant manager to call truck driver to check on status, but she informed me that they did not have access to that number. It wasn't her fault because I made the appointment online and not with her. Assistant manager was more concerned that it wasn't her fault, than trying to calm a customer who had just spent her entire morning and part of the afternoon waiting on service for which she had a 9am scheduled appointment. Nice gentleman working at counter then offered me a "better" tire at same price. I was about to go ahead and take that offer as I had no idea how many more hours it would take for my tires to show up. While we were discussing this option, the truck showed up with my tires. I was never given an apology for my complete waste of time ( I missed a whole day of work for something that should have taken 1 hour) and never offered even a free oil change. Take ownership when you make errors like this and customers will be more likely to forgive you. I have never been so disappointed in the service I got at Savannah tire on Mall blvd. I had an appointment for Thursday, 6/24/21 to have 4 tires installed that I had to order on line through their web page because they didn't have 4 to fit my car in stock and while on there I ordered the installation as well because it saved me money. Anyway, I parked my car there at 6:30 am that morning like I always do because I work at the Kroger behind them so I just leave it and walk over. I left a note with my keys in their envelope stating the order number with appointment time, and also statin I needed an oil change. I also asked if I could just get a quote on a brake job and that I got off work at 3:00 and would be there shortly after and left my number in case they needed me. It was approx. 3:20 when I got there and my car was still on the rack with no dam tires on it!! I asked what was going on and the manager said he had tried to call me about doing the breaks (which I never wanted done at that time) and he couldn't reach me so he told them not to do anything else to it until I got there!!! I showed him my phone and there were NO missed calls ! One of the guys came out and told me it would be about an hour and he would have the tires on, I was gonna have them just put my dam old ones back on and go somewhere else but they were already off the rims. I told the manager if the oil change had not been done to just forget it but it had. But he said it had. So I waited for a little over an hour and 1/2 and he said it was almost finished and he rang me up at nearly twice what I was quoted! I had a snap shot of the confirmation on my phone and showed it to him so he had to honor it. went outside to wait on my car and when he pulled it around I could not believe how ugly the tires were and nothing cleaned and oil fingerprints on my hood. I have photos too and will be more than happy to show them to a district manager. My son has tried to clean these tires but they won't shine up, he did get the rims clean from all the crap they got on them but I want my dam money back on these ugly ass tires!! Upon my second visit here for a more involved issue, I felt the information I was getting was not communicated well, and there was a lot of guessing on what could be the problem. Eventually the part came in but I had to wait several days. Although I still think this is a pretty good shop, and I like the friendliness of the staff that I dealt with, I would probably only go here for basic oil changes and tire rotations. read more

In the last four months I have gone through SIX tires from them popping while I was driving. Every time I have gone to Savannah Tire to get them to replaced. The first two popped while I was going down i95 going 70mph. I never hit anything, nor had anything puncture my tires. After having another professional look at my tires, he tells me that the tire gauges were never replaced and the rubber holding them in fell apart. Causing my tire to leak so much air the tire pops. The last tire they replaced I had already claimed the tire protection plan, which only covered a small fraction of what I paid. Also I told the employee to make sure that the tire gauge was replaced. His words were "That should already be common practice, but I'll double check". If it was common practice it should have been done in the first place. The customer service was never bad, but the actual maintenance on my car was negligent. Never going back to this establishment. read more

Finally, an honest repair shop! Manager Kevin Wilkens diagnosed a problem that another shop was going to charge us an arm and a leg for. (The repair he did ended up NOT costing an arm and a leg, however.) He got my car in and out in less than 24 hours AND had a courtesy shuttle that picked me up in Richmond Hill. (The driver was a delight, too) It's definitely worth the drive and now I won't be going anywhere else! read more

What in God's name is wrong with the service mechanics employed with this company?!?. They either DON'T rotate my tires during an oil change, change my oil filter during an oil change or something in my car goes missing. This time, someone stole, yes I said "stole", an expensive bottle of M3 Rubbing Compound. It was in my trunk 5 mins before the mechanic began to work on my car and it wasn't there 8 hours later! I should have checked before I left their parking lot, but I was so disgusted by the service-BOY's attitude I forgot to check. Savannah Tire and Tires Plus are the WORST. This was my third recent trip to Savannah TIre, and I have a few questions. The first question is, "what the hell is going on???" Ever since the Local stores were sold, the customer service has gone to shit!!!! First time, I went there with my girlfriends vehicle, I made an appointment, purchased the tires the day in advance, it took them 6 hours to put tires on the vehicle. What the hell?? Then I decided to give them a try again....this time with my vehicle, I again made an appointment. dropped my car off, they stated it would take 2 hours, I received no call from the office, and picked my car up at 5:45. Another Customer Service failure. Today I took my vehicle for an oil change. Had an appointment at 12, they didn't take my car back till 1 and I was waiting for the vehicle.
