So I took my family's Honda Odyssey to Davis Tire for repairs and it was the worst experience I've ever had at vehicle maintenance shop 1/29 I took it to Davis Tire Rincon after oil light and check engine light came on the previous day. a. They stated solenoid, steering fluid leak, rear struts, and shocks had to be done over the phone. I agreed to solenoid and steering fluid repairs over the phone since the other two could wait. I never saw the estimate and just approved over the phone for the repair while I was at work. b. We took the van to them Sunday the 1st and they "completed the repair" the 3rd and when the wife got it to turn it on it started rumbling and check engine light was blinking again immediately. c. This is the initial $3000 repair. 2/3-2/5 This time they said the rockers arms had to be adjusted to stop a bank of misfires so it had to stay another day to get repaired and we went back to pick it up on the 5th. The technician said he adjusted the rocker arms and everything was okay. So we took the van home after assurances that everything was good to go. Made it home okay (sounding a little off) and looked over the engine. Then check engine light came on again. 2/5 I took it the Springfield Davis Tire and they said they had to do a throttle adjustment this time. We were not charged additional for this. We didn't travel much between this time and the 9th as the family was sick with the flu and we noticed Sunday the 8th there was still oil leaking. 2/9-2/12 So we took it back to Davis Springfield on Monday. They said it was the steering fluid leak and I told them I thought it was fixed before. That's when I found out that I never "paid" for that particular repair. So we paid an additional $650 plus to get that repair done. We picked up the vehicle either the 11th or 12th. 2/16 The wife is on the way to home school event and before she leaves the neighborhood the check engine light was coming on again and the vehicle was rumbling. So we brought it back to Springfield Davis Tire. After over 2 hours of waiting and a suspicious 10 minute meeting between some of the staff, they now claim the timing belt is off and are recommending another $2000 repair. 2/17-3/2 We worked with a different local shop that gave us the same repair at $1200 and that shop discovered that Rincon Davis Tire had messed up the following: loose B1 cam sensor, leaking front valve cover, and leaking solenoid. The other shop also discovered the oil drain plug was leaking. We gave this information to Springfield Davis Tire 3/2 afternoon. 3/2-3/12 Springfield Davis Tire did not give any updates and were cagey with their responses still the two times I called them and finally on Friday the 6th I called them 3 minutes before they closed and finally got an update that they were going to take a look at the van on Monday the 9th. On Tuesday I got a call that they confirmed the solenoid was indeed leaking and they had to order the part. The part came in on Weds afternoon the 11th that afternoon after I called for another update but it would not be ready till Thurs. The wife picks it up that afternoon because I was at work and they did not offer any kind of apology, discount, or information to her on pickup. No call from any Davis tire leadership for all the trouble. For anyone kind of repairs done I would recommend not going to either of these Davis Tire locations. read more

I can confirm with the previous comments that this place will try to rip you off the first chance they get. When they call you and tell you it needs alot of work , we can start a payment plan and get it started right away. But never mentioned what the issues are, how much , or anything . Never send your mother, daughter , wife or anyone there who doesn't have basic car knowledge . They are making a living off shadey business . read more

I started going to Davis approximately 2 years ago after several attempts to use other shops. Made an appointment after talking to several law enforcement officers that only take their vehicles to them for a personal review. I was told these guys are top notch and that they used them for their personal vehicles as well. I found that they are honest hardworking people. They are certainly top notch ! read more

Leaving another review since Matt wants to say I'm not telling the truth, Matt I have the alignment papers for before and after it went to your shop, you wanted to send me lie saying everything was green except for the steering wheel (because that was the only thing I mentioned in the review) I have proof you lied and also a certified Ford tech looked at my car after your guys had no clue on how to fix the car. Instead of owning up to the mistakes you tried to hide them. If your techs did replace the isolation plate then why did they not catch it when I brought it back in because the spring was rotating (because of no isolation plate) btw you apparently don't know why I brought the car in the first place and alignments don't magically move to green, remember I said I have the papers from before and after visiting your shop. Davis Tire is the best! When you make an appointment, they start your service at exactly the time promised! I made an appointment at a tire place in Pooler and had to wait 2 hours before they started servicing my car. Who's got time for that! Not me! My employer uses Davis for all our company trucks and many of us use them for our personal vehicles. My Ford suv requires synthetic oil and Davis offers the best price around for the oil changes - $55 vs $80 at another local place. Plus you get a FREE tire rotation with all oil changes! Their tire prices are great too. Davis services most of the area police departments so you know they must do good work! Clean waiting area with complimentary coffee and popcorn. I highly recommend these good folks! read more

I like them and do recommend them. I always get full synthetic oil and yet, they continually say I need to service my car again after the next 5000 miles. I know that this is patently false. I should be good for 10,000 miles using synthetic oil according to Chrysler. Additionally, they used to be a deal, and then reasonable, but now the full synthetic oil service is just flat expensive. What happened? They are very friendly and a clean shop. But, I'll probably look elsewhere to service my car due to their price increases. Sorry. read more

Let me start by saying I'm not one to leave reviews. However..... this place is a joke. If I could leave negative stars I would. After being a loyal customer they could not fix my vehicle. I brought it back 4 times and on the last trip the head mechanic stated "we are throwing parts at it" referring to the $900 in total that I spent with them which I could have burnt and had the same result. When politely asked if I could get my money back the answer was of course no. We are sorry that you paid $900 for nothing but you will have to take it somewhere else and obviously spend more money. The "owner" also stated that she she hates to hear that I will not be returning for any maintenance with an obviously sarcastic look. They were given multiple chances to make it right and lastly just do the right thing. STAY AWAY!!!! On a side note the ladies at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they aren't the greedy, money hungry, and un customer service like ones that make these decisions. read more

Service was on time for the appointment I'd made and quick. I had my car's oil changed and tires rotated and it was complete in less than an hour. 7 or 8 Years ago my Motorhome blew a tire and this guy pulls up in a truck to help me. Gene Davis. Owner of Davis Tire. Helped me out in a sticky situation. Over the last 8 years I bought my MH tires from him. Great Customer Service. Everyone there is part of the Davis Family And that is not BS, it has a family atmosphere!!! I met Gene's son Hunter today. Great young kid. Helpful, friendly! If you need tires, come to this place! I just sold my house and moving full time in my motorhome. Had to be out tomorrow. I highly request not using Davis tire in Rincon. They refuse to fix my valve stem because my tires are "to old" and never even gave me a call when they decided they didn't want to do it. They let my truck sit outside the shop for 2 days before I called and ask what was going on with my truck. Just for them to tell me they wouldn't do it. And the day I took it they told me they would start at 4:30 and be done by 6:00 when they close. So two days later when I took them new tires to put on the wheels they waited to call me the next day and tell me the tires were to small for the wheels when I know they will fit. They also told me my wheels were bigger than they really are just so they don't have to put the tires on the wheels. I won't be going back to Davis tire. read more
