But I am retired and I no longer turn wrenches. Recently my car had had a P0303 code which means the number three cylinder was misfiring. I took it to Savannah car Care. They ran a diagnostic and quoted me $1,000 for the replacement of 8 spark plugs and wires on My 2013 Chevy suburban 5.3 motor. They called me on the phone and I thought it was a joke. But it wasn't! I had the spark plugs and wires replaced in my car 26,000 miles ago for $378. Now Savannah car Care is telling me that I have to spend $1,000 to replace one bad spark plug cable that has gone bad since the last replacement of all 8 plugs. I asked them if they could just replaced the one bad cable and plug. They said NO - that all the spark plugs and cables were bad. Well, to make long story short. I am traveling the country and I needed my SUV, so I said go ahead and do it. Because I complained about the price. They lowered the cost of $906. I've been going to Savannah car Care for about 4 years now. Initially, when I started going there they were great. The manager that I used to deal with left and things have gone downhill. At that time, I had Car Shield warranty and Savannah car Care bad mouth that company to death. Now there are sponsors of that company. Make a pack with the Devil - money talks! Savannah car Care it's no longer the company I used to recommend. They have sold out and now they WAY overprice their services. It's a shame! I will not be back. THEY RIPPED ME OFF BIG TIME! $906 for changing eight spark plugs and wires. SHAME ON YOU! Savannah car Care!

So I took my family's Honda Odyssey to Davis Tire for repairs and it was the worst experience I've…read moreever had at vehicle maintenance shop 1/29 I took it to Davis Tire Rincon after oil light and check engine light came on the previous day. a. They stated solenoid, steering fluid leak, rear struts, and shocks had to be done over the phone. I agreed to solenoid and steering fluid repairs over the phone since the other two could wait. I never saw the estimate and just approved over the phone for the repair while I was at work. b. We took the van to them Sunday the 1st and they "completed the repair" the 3rd and when the wife got it to turn it on it started rumbling and check engine light was blinking again immediately. c. This is the initial $3000 repair. 2/3-2/5 This time they said the rockers arms had to be adjusted to stop a bank of misfires so it had to stay another day to get repaired and we went back to pick it up on the 5th. The technician said he adjusted the rocker arms and everything was okay. So we took the van home after assurances that everything was good to go. Made it home okay (sounding a little off) and looked over the engine. Then check engine light came on again. 2/5 I took it the Springfield Davis Tire and they said they had to do a throttle adjustment this time. We were not charged additional for this. We didn't travel much between this time and the 9th as the family was sick with the flu and we noticed Sunday the 8th there was still oil leaking. 2/9-2/12 So we took it back to Davis Springfield on Monday. They said it was the steering fluid leak and I told them I thought it was fixed before. That's when I found out that I never "paid" for that particular repair. So we paid an additional $650 plus to get that repair done. We picked up the vehicle either the 11th or 12th. 2/16 The wife is on the way to home school event and before she leaves the neighborhood the check engine light was coming on again and the vehicle was rumbling. So we brought it back to Springfield Davis Tire. After over 2 hours of waiting and a suspicious 10 minute meeting between some of the staff, they now claim the timing belt is off and are recommending another $2000 repair. 2/17-3/2 We worked with a different local shop that gave us the same repair at $1200 and that shop discovered that Rincon Davis Tire had messed up the following: loose B1 cam sensor, leaking front valve cover, and leaking solenoid. The other shop also discovered the oil drain plug was leaking. We gave this information to Springfield Davis Tire 3/2 afternoon. 3/2-3/12 Springfield Davis Tire did not give any updates and were cagey with their responses still the two times I called them and finally on Friday the 6th I called them 3 minutes before they closed and finally got an update that they were going to take a look at the van on Monday the 9th. On Tuesday I got a call that they confirmed the solenoid was indeed leaking and they had to order the part. The part came in on Weds afternoon the 11th that afternoon after I called for another update but it would not be ready till Thurs. The wife picks it up that afternoon because I was at work and they did not offer any kind of apology, discount, or information to her on pickup. No call from any Davis tire leadership for all the trouble. For anyone kind of repairs done I would recommend not going to either of these Davis Tire locations.

I bet everyone that owns a Jeep either knows James or has heard of him. One of my biggest fears about moving from GA to FL was having to find someone that I could trust to have the knowledge and work ethics that James Carr has. Before leaving GA I took Nadine to him and asked him to give her a complete checkup and he did. He explained everything he found and what he recommended be addressed immediately and what could be addressed down the road. I trusted James completely and didn't wanna worry about anything down the road and gave him the go ahead and addressed everything. I'd go to James regardless of what shop he was at, I only wished he was closer to my FL home now that I've moved away LOL.

Later we received a call saying the problem had been completely fixed. When we arrived, we paid for the repair and were about to leave when my husband decided to quickly check the lights before pulling out of the lot. They still were not working. He immediately went back inside to let them know the issue had not actually been fixed. Unfortunately, they refused to refund us even though the problem we paid to have repaired was clearly still there. So we ended up paying for a service that did not resolve the issue we brought the vehicle in for. I've honestly never experienced anything like this before. If a repair doesn't fix the problem, it seems reasonable that it should either be corrected or refunded. I wanted to share this experience so others are aware.
