The whole time he asked questions that helped him be sure the problem was only the battery and did a thorough job checking that the new battery was working as it should, measuring it at different speeds and checking other things. . I know little about cars, but I am sure I got a great deal from this top-notch mechanic. I will travel extra miles to his shop when my car has another pain or gives me one. And he was the only mobile mechanic who would come to me do not to have my car towed and rent Ubers to get me to the shop and perhaps have them keep the car so I would have to Uber back home and back to get my car. Not only did this expert mechanic do a great job but saved me money.

Pulled in the bay at 1320 pulled out at 1345. Not quite 10 minutes but they were nice enough. I think I was in the slow line cause other cars were coming and going in the time I was there. I'll go back for another try. Basic oil change on my jeep was $112. Seems more than I pay at Davis Tire.

My son was having trouble starting his car and took it to a local auto parts store to have them pull the code to see what was up... the employee there didn't plug the reader in, but assured my son it was the starter, so my kiddo dropped $200 on the part and they told him to take it to Express to have changed. My son brought the vehicle there, and the mechanic there tested the starter told him his starter was perfectly fine, and that his issue was a little switch under his clutch. They swapped it out, and fixed the little doohickey, and saved us $200! I was over an hour away, and couldn't help my son out, so it was such a relief to know that I could send him there and he would be taken care of. Later we received a call saying the problem had been completely fixed. When we arrived, we paid for the repair and were about to leave when my husband decided to quickly check the lights before pulling out of the lot. They still were not working. He immediately went back inside to let them know the issue had not actually been fixed. Unfortunately, they refused to refund us even though the problem we paid to have repaired was clearly still there. So we ended up paying for a service that did not resolve the issue we brought the vehicle in for. I've honestly never experienced anything like this before. If a repair doesn't fix the problem, it seems reasonable that it should either be corrected or refunded. I wanted to share this experience so others are aware.

So I took my family's Honda Odyssey to Davis Tire for repairs and it was the worst experience I've…read moreever had at vehicle maintenance shop 1/29 I took it to Davis Tire Rincon after oil light and check engine light came on the previous day. a. They stated solenoid, steering fluid leak, rear struts, and shocks had to be done over the phone. I agreed to solenoid and steering fluid repairs over the phone since the other two could wait. I never saw the estimate and just approved over the phone for the repair while I was at work. b. We took the van to them Sunday the 1st and they "completed the repair" the 3rd and when the wife got it to turn it on it started rumbling and check engine light was blinking again immediately. c. This is the initial $3000 repair. 2/3-2/5 This time they said the rockers arms had to be adjusted to stop a bank of misfires so it had to stay another day to get repaired and we went back to pick it up on the 5th. The technician said he adjusted the rocker arms and everything was okay. So we took the van home after assurances that everything was good to go. Made it home okay (sounding a little off) and looked over the engine. Then check engine light came on again. 2/5 I took it the Springfield Davis Tire and they said they had to do a throttle adjustment this time. We were not charged additional for this. We didn't travel much between this time and the 9th as the family was sick with the flu and we noticed Sunday the 8th there was still oil leaking. 2/9-2/12 So we took it back to Davis Springfield on Monday. They said it was the steering fluid leak and I told them I thought it was fixed before. That's when I found out that I never "paid" for that particular repair. So we paid an additional $650 plus to get that repair done. We picked up the vehicle either the 11th or 12th. 2/16 The wife is on the way to home school event and before she leaves the neighborhood the check engine light was coming on again and the vehicle was rumbling. So we brought it back to Springfield Davis Tire. After over 2 hours of waiting and a suspicious 10 minute meeting between some of the staff, they now claim the timing belt is off and are recommending another $2000 repair. 2/17-3/2 We worked with a different local shop that gave us the same repair at $1200 and that shop discovered that Rincon Davis Tire had messed up the following: loose B1 cam sensor, leaking front valve cover, and leaking solenoid. The other shop also discovered the oil drain plug was leaking. We gave this information to Springfield Davis Tire 3/2 afternoon. 3/2-3/12 Springfield Davis Tire did not give any updates and were cagey with their responses still the two times I called them and finally on Friday the 6th I called them 3 minutes before they closed and finally got an update that they were going to take a look at the van on Monday the 9th. On Tuesday I got a call that they confirmed the solenoid was indeed leaking and they had to order the part. The part came in on Weds afternoon the 11th that afternoon after I called for another update but it would not be ready till Thurs. The wife picks it up that afternoon because I was at work and they did not offer any kind of apology, discount, or information to her on pickup. No call from any Davis tire leadership for all the trouble. For anyone kind of repairs done I would recommend not going to either of these Davis Tire locations.
