DO NOT GO HERE! The Customer Service is terrible! Very disappointing! I made an appointment and was considered a "walk-in"

I have been to this Goodyear for various services a few times now. Each time, the visit is longer than expected. I use this auto service shop as I can walk home while my car is serviced. My most recent visit was for an oil change. Nothing fancy. I made an appointment for 11 AM a few days before, dropped the car and walked home like normal. By 1 pm I still didn't hear from them, but I thought they would call any minute. At 2 pm I called to check in. I was told they just put the car up, and it would be another 45 minutes. The gentleman apologized and said they had a lot of appointments for 9 AM and got backed up. Now by 4 pm I still didn't hear back. I dropped my car off 5 hours ago for a standard oil change! I walked over to find my car was parked in the lot (in one of their handicapped spots). I said to the guy at the counter that I see my car is finished but did not get a call. He went to talk to another service rep, who said he tried to call and did not get through. I did not have any missed calls. Anyway, I said 5 hours for an oil change is ridiculous. He apologized and let me know the shop cannot control the appointments that are made on the website, and they had 9 appointments for 9 AM! I doubt they had 9 service techs working! That is bad on corporates end. Clearly they were set up to fail. I was going to only leave 1-2 stars, but the guys offered me a discount on my service. I appreciated the offer and service recovery. However, I don't know if I will return here. Also, other auto shops I previously used for oil changes reported each service to Car Fax. I was not aware of this until I started coming to Goodyear. They do not report to Car Fax, so now I have Car Fax sending me emails once per week about my missing service. Something to consider. read more

My tire light kept going on and figured out I had a nail in it. I took it here because I saw a recent review on Facebook saying how people had such a great experience here. I made an appointment, but it seems like they were overbooked. I sat there for 2 and a half hours. Finally someone came out after all that time and said that the puncture cannot be fixed-I need a new tire. I sat there all that time just for that news. They wanted me to buy a new tire. I had a bad gut feeling, so I said no thank you. Today I took my car to discount tire, because multiple people recommended them. They patched 2 tires (Goodyear didn't see the nail in my other tire when they had it up for 2 and a half hours). An hour later at discount tire and I was out the door with NO Bill. It was free. Avoid Goodyear. They try to scam you if you don't look like you know anything about cars. I cannot believe they wanted me to buy a brand new tire when it could've been patched. read more

This Goodyear is Greatyear! Service Advisor Chastity and Tyrone saved the day during a holiday vacation, when we discovered one of the two nails in our front passenger tire. By the time we found Chastity and Tyrone, we had called and/or stopped at 10+ other tire repair stores in Savannah, Georgia. Employees were slim to none everywhere else during the July 4th holiday. Praise God for this store and team. Job well done! Tyrone pointed out exactly why one of the two punctures couldn't be patched (outside the repair zone). I just want your company to know what an outstanding employee you have with Liam at the store on Jazie drive in Savannah,GA. I dropped off my 2001 Volvo C70 convertible that I was preparing to deliver to Tulsa OK for my son to drive. The right rear tire had a slow leak that I felt I should address. Liam called me later in the day to explain that the leak was caused by a dry rotted/checked tire and was beyond repair. I tried to cheap out and replace only that tire. Liam pointed out that the other rear tire was also compromised and would present the same in a short time. Liam went above and beyond to make me an honest bargain so that I was able to afford the result. Too often in today's market we only hear or see the rip-off or negative experience. The first time I ever came here to have my vehicle serviced in November 2019, the service was great! I was only getting an oil change and in total, I only spent about an hour at the store. Each time I've come after has been less than ideal. I've scheduled appointments online fairly early in the morning to beat the afternoon crowds, and each time have not had my appointment time honored. I'm currently writing this review as I'm in the store. I only came to get an oil change and my windshield wipers replaced, and I've been here over 3 hours. Not to mention the guy at the front desk is extremely rude and lacks basic customer service skills. Their excuses are ALWAYS "we're understaffed, we have a lot of people also waiting, it's hot outside." I've never seen the parking lot or garage full, nor have I ever actually seen any of the mechanics doing any work. I always see them standing around joking. My biggest complaint is the appointment scheduling. I had accidentally scheduled an appointment at a different store 4 hours away and still came to this store not knowing my mistake at the time. The lady at the front desk informed me of the error politely and I had tried to see if it was okay if I be seen as a walk in and she told me they didn't have any available spots for 2 weeks. I went online to see how accurate that was, but it was a complete lie. That day I went was full but every day after was open. I also hate that when I do schedule an appointment, it's not honored. You're thrown in with the walk ins and put in the order in which you came in. This causes problems because I don't expect to sit at the store for several hours for something that should only take one, especially when I have plans that are fairly time sensitive. When accepting walk ins, the receptionist should see there is an appointment coming up and tell them there's a wait. Side note: I sat there for hours for them to tell me they couldn't find oil for my car (which doesn't need anything special) and they refused to rotate my tires. read more

I am terribly unsatisfied with the service I received today. I had a 1:00 appointment for an oil change. That's it, just an oil change. I decided to wait figuring it wouldn't be long and didn't want to inconvenience a friend or my daughter by having her come get me on a Sunday afternoon. More than two hours and a forty-five minutes later and I am still waiting. The explanation given was gibberish. I have been very happy with the service I have received here in the past. I called them two days ago to ask if my back right tire still had the warranty on it (as I had two recent flats, and I just had another one). They assured me it did. I asked again to confirm, saying, "Please MAKE SURE." They said that tire ABSOLUTELY did have the warranty on it. So I made an appointment to go yesterday... I had to take time off of work (not easy), drive an hour out of my way, sit in their waiting room for a half-an-hour, only to find out that they said the warranty was not applicable to my back right tire. They said, "It was a miscommunication" (how convenient) and reneged on what they told me. This is not good business, despite the well-known name of Goodyear, and the last business they will ever get from me. Bad business practices. I had made appointment online for an oil change a few days ago, and when I arrived the man at the counter was very unfriendly and told me he didn't see my name, I showed him my confirmation page and it's like he didn't believe me and kept showing me his paper appointments, it's not my fault the system didn't show my name. He asked what I had wanted and Yes, I had added a free alignment because it's offered but if you and another worker who said he was about to leave at 2pm don't like do them then take it off the website?! He could have handled the situation more professionally but was very grumpy and rude. I was planning to leave my car and wasn't in any hurry or I was willing to schedule another time but he wasn't communicating with me and when I asked he gave me attitude like I was an inconvenience to his day. FEMALE friend went in for nail in tire with slow leak. They told her tires were dry rotted and need two tires. After I inspected, I found the nail and tires Looked very good just like the other two tires. After further homework, tires were made in 2018! Looks like tires may have 20,000 mi. SHAMEFULL! Friend went to Discount Tire and got nail out, balanced and on her way. I just used Discount Tire in Snellville Ga and loved them and customer service. LOOK OUT for Goodyear!!! read more

Had four BFGs on rims w/ one side "unset", "unbeaded" Manager Sean Vineyard offered to set the beads and fill 'em. Free = "No charge".. They were way-busy but they said "Let's do it now!" WWWT? Online Reservations - BEWARE My family booked an available appointment today for 1pm on the Goodyear website at around 1030am. We planned our day and left for the appointment at around 1240pm. About 5 minutes into the trip we received a call from Sean at Goodyear stating that they were over-booked for the day and could not reschedule until after 3pm the next day. No other courtesies were off, other than excuses about a sick office worker. Sean said he was doing the best he could. All we needed would have been a phone call shortly after the reservation so that we could have found another company for our tire repair. Now, my wife will have to chance taking our daughter to school in the morning with a nail in her tire. I get that things happen, but I highly doubt and am a bit concerned that they were too busy to call a scheduled customer timely. We will go elsewhere for our services in the future. read more

I had my car serviced at my dealership the day before I was heading out of town and was told I needed at least 2 new tires before I left for my trip. After calling around several places that told that they would have to order my size tire or were offering me ones of less quality, I called Goodyear and Troy got me in last minute and the guys were able to have me out before I needed to head out of town. The worst place you could possibly go to. They need to get 0 stars. Made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. 21 point inspection and alignment were included as free. Took them 5 hours to change the oil and rotate the tires(supposedly) and they didn't have time to check the alignment. 5 hours. They didn't care that I had to go to work or anything. Was told that my tires were rotated and they even noted it on the receipt. Good thing I put some chalk on my tires because they bold faced lied to me. The front tires with the chalk were still on the front. They didn't touch my tires, and kept me waiting 1.5 hours. Don't trust them! After running over a sheet metal screw late on Saturday evening, we weren't sure if we could get help anywhere nearby at such a late hour. At almost 6:00, we arrived at Goodyear and were greeted by Dustin. He quickly offered to take care of our needs. We had our tire repaired and were on our way before 7:00. On top of such great, kind and professional service, Dustin let us know there would not be a charge for our tire repair. Their store has a policy to give courtesy tire repairs (to patch a tire). This was by far the worst service I've received. I made an appointment online. My car was not touched for 4 hours- it sat in the same spot I left it in. Once I returned to ask about service, the staff was "too busy" for my questions. My car was finally ready after 7 hours for an oil change. I needed four tires replaced and found their special online indicating $75 off tire installation. I called to set up an appointment a few weeks before I needed to come in and requested specific tires. I was told I could arrive at 10 a.m. on 12/19/17; however, when I showed up, the man at the desk seemed confused that I was even supposed to be there. I told him I made an appointment for that date and time with a woman I spoke to; he said, "Oh you spoke to her last night?" I said, "No, a few weeks ago." He then checked the computer and said my tires were already sold. Sold?? So what was the point in making an appointment? He said he hates it when that happens, but someone must have bought the tires on a different date so they sold them. I had no idea tires were not held or I wouldn't have wasted time making an appointment at all. He then told me he could order a different type of tire, and they could be in that afternoon at 2 p.m. I said that would not work because I planned my day around this 10 a.m. appointment. I ended up making an appointment for today (12/29/17) to re-schedule after being very irritated that my initial appointment did not pan out. Today, I come in and tell the front desk man I have an appointment. He asks my name and then asks my car make and model, but I thought they would have already known this since the first time I went in, I already provided all of that information. They had me sign something without explaining the charges; I then went to Jalapenos to eat and get a call.."I forgot to ask; were you wanting two tires replaced or four?" I said, "All four. Do you have four to work with?" They said yes. Anyway, that made me not so sure of their capability. They also said they would call when my car was ready, but when I walked over, it was already parked so had I not shown my myself, I could have waited for who knows how long. I go to pay and make sure that the $75 installation coupon was applied; the man said, "Oh, glad you mentioned that." Well, me, too! Then I review the bill (which I should have made them explain to me prior to signing) and see there is the $20/tire warranty which is OPTIONAL....they just stuck that on there without explaining it to me. I then said I did not sign up for that warranty and needed it to be refunded, and the man responds with, "Ehh.....OK well how much time do you have?" How much time?? Enough time to get my $80 back. So I waited a few minutes, swiped my card again for the refund and left that building never to return. Oh they also forgot to mention that I am eligible for an $80 factory rebate! 07/10/17 Customer service is hard to find on this island. We're originally from the North and customer service is #1. We've tried many garages here in Savannah since we've moved here. We live here in Savannah and Mitch Delva, the Service Manger defiantly stood out that day. Customer service and our return business was clearly important to him. And because of that we came back instead of going to another garage. Scheduling with Mitch Delva was very easy. There was no nonsense, he told me just "Bring it in." and it was done. We've been customer of this Good Year for four years and only oil changes.I would never have any engine/brake/spark plugs work done here.Two months ago this same Good Year checked my battery upon my request, they said it was fine. Mitch was not there that day. Two months later, they tell me it needs to be changed ASAP and that it was dripping battery fluids all over my car. On 07/13 I had my scheduled oil change and asked for a basic check up for the battery and for a squeaky sound. First I dealt with Shawn the Store Front Manger which wasn't pleasant.. After the check-up I personally met Mitch Delva. His customer service was impeccable. It started with him walking me through on the actual car and explaining what was wrong with it and what needed to be repaired. Prices where fair. He was very easy to work with and upfront. 07/28 I had the repairs suggested by Mitch Delva done on my car which is a Nissan Altima. I would recommend my friends and family to this Good Year because of Mitch Delva. They would walk out knowing whats wrong with their car and how much it's going to cost. I'm a repeat customer and will continue as long as Mitch Delva is there. Finding good customer service is very difficult to find, not just in car care. I hope to see this change. I hope Good Year pays attention to what Mitch Delva is doing with this store. read more

Went in for tires. Front end alignment. Wound up having ball joints and rocker arm replaced. When I left the lot, the ABS was acting up. They told me to leave it over night. It was fixed the next morning quick. Thought for a moment I was being scammed, but every thing worked out. Just left me nervous about using the place again. read more
