Purchased a full set of tires a few month ago from here, but started to get a slow leak on one tire. When I brought it in to be serviced, I was told there isn't a warranty even though at the time the website clearly listed on, and still lists one. When I tried to point this out, they wouldn't look, and said I would have needed to pay extra for one. The clerk also complained to me that when I bought the tires, I wasn't charged a labor fee, and that they fired someone over it. Obviously, not my fault, and completely inappropriate to point this out BUT ALSO FALSE. My invoice clearly has a labor charge on it. Bad product, awful customer service, and a falsely advertised warranty. ***BRIEF UPDATE: I spoke with corporate customer service, and they confirmed there IS INDEED a manufacturers warranty on the purchase (as with most tire sales), and that they should have checked the tire to see what the issue was to see if any repair or replacement would be covered. read more

The worst! The tech didn't even arrive at the shop until 45 minutes after they opened and the receptionist wasn't interested in finding out why. Once he arrived, the receptionist said the price was more than I was quoted over the phone. I suggested she contact customer service, who gave the quote, and she insisted she couldn't. So I called them myself. She continued to shout information at me while I was on the phone, which she was well aware of, and I asked her to shush so I could hear the call. She was very angry about that and said she would not wait on me because I was rude. But she was the rude one. On vacation from Dallas over January 1, 2025, I found a 'nail' in my tire all the way - must have been s short nail! The fit me in promptly, took wheel off the car and tire off the wheel. Apparently the nail did not penetrate the mesh backing. All tires checked - out of there in 45 minute - NO CHARGE, since there was no repair. Highly recommended. read more

TERRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!Dropped my vehicle off for a tire repair (patching a hole where a screw is in middle of the tire). Confirmed that they were able to make the repair since it was not in or near the side wall. Called back 2 hours after dropping off and the front desk manager confirmed the tire was repaired and ready to go. Upon arrival the vehicle is still on the rack and the same manager proceeded to tell me they couldn't make the repair because it was in the side wall. The experience I had to start was great, super nice front desk person. I had a nail in my drivers side front tire, in the tread. Showed a picture and it was definitely patchable. Waited probably 40 minutes and it was done. $30 easy peasy. Until I go back in my car several hours later to see my drivers side front tire drop to 12psi. Confusing it was, I stepped out to check and sure enough, the nail was still in the same exact spot. Not too sure what the odds are of me running over a nail again in the same exact tread. We had a nail in our tire so we went ahead and plugged it ourselves. Couple months later it started to leak so we brought it in to have it patched. Spoke to the guy at the counter between meetings yesterday to see what it would take. He came out and looked at it and showed him the plug. He said "sounds good, it will be 30$ and take 20 minutes". We said great, we'd return today when we had the time. Now we speak to a different man and he says "we can't repair it since you plugged it. You need a new tire. Maybe try Firestone?" I really tried to be respectful through this entire experience, but this was one of the most upsetting interactions I have ever had with a mechanic. I went in on a Friday afternoon with a brake light indicator, knowing that I needed my brakes looked at. I was promised by the staff it would be done on Saturday. After receiving no call on Saturday, I called first thing on Sunday morning - and this is when it all started. Called in the morning and I was told would receive a call with the status 30 min later, no call received. I call back an hour later and am told the car is ready. I go to pick it up. I am told the car still needs a test drive, which they proceed to do and then come back and tell me the car is actually not ready, it should be another hour - fine. I proceed to call for the next 5 hours asking for updates and each time am told by the assistant manager that he is personally going to look at bleeding the brakes right then. Finally within 30 min of closing I just go over and wait in the lobby. My car is on the rack. 10 min before close he calls me over to show me a rusted out brake line that needs to be replaced. So after over 2 days of having it in their possession they diagnose my issue. I inform them I absolutely do not feel comfortable having them do work on my car and ask to leave. While checking me out the assistant manager has the audacity to tell me "there's no charge on that". Yeah - you didn't do any work on it, what would I be paying you for. read more

Took my SUV in for an oil change. The shop staff and the guy working the front desk were very friendly and polite, did the work fast, but the price for an oil change was shocking. I should have asked first, so my fault, but $100+ for a routine oil change is INSANE. I feel like I got shafted on this one. Will be looking elsewhere for a more affordable service. EDIT (from 2 to 4 stars): I called the shop and asked for an explanation of the cost, which the front desk person did with no problem. My wife and I were traveling the through the southeast and spent the night in Savannah. When we were ready to take a driving tour through Savannah the next morning we discovered one of our tires was low on air. We went to Mavis Tire for the repair. Even though they were very busy we were worked in within a few hours to get our tire fixed (nail removed). Getting very low on tire pressure I just happened to drive past these folks and pulled in when i saw they had an airpump and for free, no less. Soon as i started to use the air pump a very nice gentleman came up and helped me make sure I had the right settings and did it for me. Wasn't giving him any business but he was very helpful. If I could I would have given zero stars.... In Savannah and had a nail in my tire (tread, not the sidewall), needed a fix in a pinch. Visited Mavis tire (101 East Anderson Street) as it was close to my hotel on 5/12/24, tech took the tire off my car and came in and told me they don't repair run-flat tires (last one he fixed he got in trouble), I told him I didn't know my Tesla had run flat tires (I confirmed they do not have run flat tires after I left and reconfirmed with Tesla this morning), he said he needed to talk to the receptionist (manager) who was nowhere to be found. Came back a few minutes later and stated if I take care of him with some cash he will fix it (even though he is not supposed to). Two minutes later amazingly the receptionist/manager walked back in and a few minutes later like magic the tire is fixed, tech walks up to me and says all good and holds out his hand.... I give him a few bucks and then go and pay the $24.99 fee for a tire repair and walk out. Nothing like being taken advantage of when on the road. bought a set of new tires here. so a full alignment was also requested. I paid for the tires and the alignment only to find ghe car pulling to the right. Returned the next day for a proper alignmen. This time they provided the standard before and after spec sheet. I looked st it when I got home and found the rear measurements to still be out of spec. Returned for a third time to get the rear wheels correct. This time they would provide no before/after printout and claimed I needed tie rods. So the Before/after readings from the second visit showed every single wheel to be out of alignment on the before snapshot. They must not have done anything at all except charge me on the first visit. I'm taking the car to a real shop for alignment and will ask for a refund from Mavis. I am a shop owner - these people are the scammiest in the business and make my job so much harder. My alignment machine was down and I sent one of my customers for an alignment. They told him that his car needed new tires and control arms before they could alignment. The problem with that is the tires were NEW!!!!! as were the control arms. He told my customer that the rubber was too hard on the control arms and he needed to let Mavis replace them. Total BS!!!! read more

It is just wonderful to know when my daughter is away at school at Scad and so far away from home. That if she runs into an issue with her car or tires that there is such an amazing wonderful place that took care of her as if it was their own child looking over the car for any issues she may have. Woke up Sunday morning to get ready for my trip back home to the Tampa area and I found one of the tires on my vehicle has a slow leak. Looked up a few tire repair shops and this one happened to be closest. I called and spoke with someone who advised that there may be a bit of a wait since we are a walk in - understood and expected that. What wasn't expected was the rude tone we were greeted with by a young lady. I was made to feel as if we were inconveniencing these folks with a simple request. It was made very clear it would be 2 hours before our vehicle could be inspected for a possible puncture and additional time if a tire repair is needed. My wife and I decided to leave the vehicle and walk to a local breakfast spot to kill the 2 hours. Breakfast is had and we take our time walking through a lovely park near by to stretch the time we had. Finally made it back to the tire shop where we are told it is going to be beyond the 2 hours and could be closer to 5 hours. This was starting to get to be ridiculous- folks were coming in after my vehicle and were getting in before us. I can understand if we had a large request for service but it was a simple tire concern- it needs to be patched or repaired. The young lady at this location could not be bothered. I just asked for my tire to be filled with air and luckily made it back home (4 1/2 hour drive). I had to fill air twice on my journey but thankfully nothing happened. Customer service could've been so much better and there's a way to convey to customer that what we are requesting is going to take an extended period of time. read more

This has to be the worst experience I've ever had with a tire shop. I made an appointment online to get one of my back tires checked as I knew it had a slow leak. At 2:30, Mavis calls and said that the tread was really not good and that I need a new tire. They also said my brake pads were nearly gone and was almost metal on metal. Interesting as there's been no indicator noise. I told them I would deal with the brakes another day and please repair my existing tire. They said they wouldn't repair the tire due to "liability issues". They could repair it, but would NOT repair it. I told them to leave the existing tire on and said no to the brake job. They told me okay and that car was ready to be picked up. Two hours later, we show up to Mavis to find our car still on the rack and the tire still off. They did say they would have our car ready and pulled up in 5 minutes. They pulled up the car and my husband took a look at the tire in question to discover the a bolt was broken off and lug nut missing. The tech who pulled the car up walked back where my husband was pointing out the issue. The tech said we should get it fixed at which time my husband explained that the shop broke it and was responsible for fixing it. The tech also stated. "OH, I thought the manager mentioned this to you". The tech agreed to fix the issue. Here's my question..if your shop.is worried about repairing my existing tire because of a liability issue, why was your shop willing to let us drive off with a miss bolt and lug nut which is far more dangerous? I do wonder if the damage was intentional because we wouldn't be held hostage for not agreeing to unnecessary repairs? They did fix the issue THEY created and we had to leave the car and return again. No apology...nothing! We won't be back and I suggest you avoid this shop too! read more
