We had mead. It was great! Try the Apple Nectar. Beeautiful atmosphere! Worker bees, also nice.

The mead flight were delicious. It was a huge help to have Enzo walk us through the different flavors and meaderies. The overall vibe inside is relaxing and a nice place to unwind :)

Love this store! They have great honey and also beauty products! I love the hand cream and lip balm in particular. The lavender rosemary smell in particular is my go to and I always come back here to get the hand cream and lip balm. They have many delicious honeys and can sample them. They also have a cafe in the back. I want to go back and try the mead flight sometime. Awesome service and such a cute store.

I've been want to buy some local honey so I was excited when I came across savannah bee co today on Pearl St! They have an overwhelming amount of honey...lavender, chocolate, cinnamon, etc. Also lotions, salves and tea! I opted for the local honey from Colorado Springs. They let you sample the honey and it tasted like regular old honey which is what I was after. It was fun to fill up in the jar myself and it made it seem extra fresh.

I really love this place. If you enjoy honey, you'll be in honey heaven. EVERYTHING honey is here! All kinds of skincare, honey flavors and types, I've never even heard of. Everything can be tried or sampled, and the associates are so friendly and ready to offer you another sample. My favorite is the Mead bar. This is so unique, and such a fun tasting experience, it was only $12 for a flight. I would for sure come here again!

What fun. We saw the sign honey mead and I wanted to try it! Never had mead and wanted to see what is being done with the ancient drink. We walked in and saw all kinds of honey. All kinds of flavor. Coffee. Candy. Etc etc. Went to the tasting room. $10 to taste. The lady that guided us was wonderful. Truly a wonderful experience. The mead variety is phenomenal. It was a fun stop and glad we saw it!

Mead tasting, $10 :)

Was walking around Pearl Street and stumbled upon this gem! It is actually a pretty large store with tons of honey products (and samples!). In the back you have to try the mead tasting - it's only $10! I had never tried mead before and it was delicious. Basically, think sweet & honey aroma wine. BTW, I loved the whipped honey. I could eat spoonfuls of that from the jar! The employees here are very knowledgable and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask any questions. I really liked this store and would come back for sure next time!

The front of the shop houses the honey. As you move into the middle, you'll find the body care section with lotions and and then the soaps. In the back, they have a mead tasting bar and a cafe. The store is a modern farmhouse. It's clean and fresh. My chai was fantastic, although next time, I'll ask them to make it a tad less sweet. This was my first time "honey tasting" and I couldn't be more impressed. The staff is very helpful and inviting. If you're traveling, they'll ship your items for about $13, otherwise, you can shop online.

Great shop on Pearl Street to stop in and enjoy sampling all their honey. My favorite is the whipped chocolate. Buy a jar to take home and enjoy. It is excellent on fresh strawberries. Also the whipped lemon , raw local and the Tupelo ended up coming home with us on this visit. It is a bit pricey but so yummy and they make great gifts. A surprise free jar of Blueberry jam when we checked out was a sweet surprise. The mead tasting room should be open by September 2018. We plan to come back for a mead flight.

Free tattoos by the register made my daughter's day, lol... that was after I bought her the honey, lip balm and comb! All fantastic!

This is the other must-stop on Pearl for visitors. (Bookstore is the other) Start off straight to the back of the store if there's room: $10 for a sampler of mead tastings.. If they're busy, honey sampling in the front. We left with a lot of product and the best ones I had bought a whim: HONEYCOMB! They threw in two packages of free crackers to go with and they were the perfect accompaniment.. little bit of salt for the sweet. We devoured half the small comb back at the hotel. Also purchased a few of the lip balms out of immediate need but it quickly became addictive.. really one of the best balms I've ever had. (Bought the key lime.. smell them all as some are stronger than others.. key lime is light) Also bought the small whipped honey sampler, (3), all of which we sampled . It's hard to pick just three because they are all good so it was easier that the store did it for e are been free tattoos at the register, lol... which made my daughter's day so there you go! (And she's 18) You will see their products elsewhere in town, at other stores, but nothing beats their storefront.

PoshSplat - POSH..paint and wine studio

PoshSplat

3 1/2 stars. For our first visit at PoshSplat, my daughter…read moreand I went for "independent studio time" since they did not have any public class during the day on a Friday. We've been to other studios to paint following an instructor, and it was always a lot of fun. This place has a great selection of paintings you can choose from, and then you just copy the one you select, or just do your own. The lady who was in charge of the place that day was friendly, but both my daughter and I very quickly understood that it was better not to change the water where you clean your brushes, or ask for another paper plate (that you use as a palette.) When my daughter asked where she could change her muddy water, she was told that she really did not need to, as the paint should get to the bottom of the pot and the brush would get clean if it stays on the surface. We looked at each other, quite surprised. After a while, I really needed to get some clean water and was told that the lady would do it for me as there is no available sink for the clients. Looking at the paint stains in the bathroom, I doubt this advice is followed by most, but I understand that they want to protect their plumbing and the environment. So after that, since we did not want to bother her, we just painted with brown water (and my daughter never changed hers.) I wonder what happens when an entire class (about 20 people) is asking at some point for fresh water.... I never had that issue at other places, and this was a big surprise and disappointment (that and the fact that you are uncomfortable asking for another paper plate.) I get that they don't want to waste, but you have to keep it reasonable. In the end, we've decided that when we want to paint again, we'll go back to Whimsy in Westminster, where they have a sink in the studio for the clients to use freely, where they give you whatever you need to paint comfortably, and where parking if free and easy. If you want to stay in Boulder though, it's always fun to do one of these session. Drink an extra glass of wine and you won't even bother about rinsing your brushes. Now that's a thought, maybe I should try that next time!

I'm really upset with the experience a friend and I had here the other night for a girl's night…read more First of all, I had assumed, that since this is a wine and painting studio, that the atmosphere would be relaxed and fun. I however, was completely wrong. The instructor on multiple occasions barked orders and "got onto" myself (and other people in the class) for using the wrong brush, putting the brush on the table (instead of on the plate), or using too much paint (or not enough paint). She felt very uptight. To the point that I was becoming anxious about "doing something wrong" and having her say something to me again. I think the worst part of the evening though, was when she came over to my canvas and altered my painting, without my consent. She didn't even ask me, and just put her brush to my painting to "fix" it. I understand I am not an artist however, if I had wanted to purchase a painting made by someone else, then I would have done that. Yet, I paid for a class to be guided on how to paint while sipping wine and having fun. I'm pretty upset that none of that occurred. I was willing to chalk this experience up to just having a bad instructor, but I found out the instructor we had is the owner of the place. I absolutely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone. The instructor/owner made it feel like we were in art school trying to get an art degree. I just went to have fun and paint a picture of some stupid poppies. Yet, I left with anxiety and a headache.
