When looking at a menu I was very excited to see that this restaurant combined two of my favorite things to eat which is apple pie and waffles. So it was a no brainer on what I wanted to eat. While the "main event" was appealing, the flavor wasn't there and the maple syrup was super thick. The temperature of the food wasn't hot. I did however like the thick cut bacon. The aspect that I did not like at all was being charged $4 for a singular frozen hash brown which I could pay half the cost from a box that I could buy at a grocery store. If you are looking for a celiac safe gluten free option this is NOT the place for you. I dined in with savage goods this afternoon and the gentleman taking my order was as accommodating as he could be, giving suggestions and checking with the kitchen to ensure I had a safe dining experience. After we worked out what we both hoped would be a safe option I can now say it was not. There are gluten free options, but they are not celiac safe, cross contamination is sometimes unavoidable. Friendly service and great ambiance. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches are great. We also tried the sea salted chocolate chip cookie and it was a huge disappointment. Maybe it's a new recipe? It was mostly dough, zero sea salt and very few choco chips. The dough was super bland so we ended up throwing away most of the cookie. For the price, the cookie should have a much better flavor. lesson learned! I will be back but will steer away from those choco chip cookies. read more

Obsessed with this place. I literally have been there 5 times in the last week for this one chicken pesto sandwich and the oatmeal pecan chocolate chip cookies. Let's start with the sandwich. Bread is fresh, chicken isn't dry... you should probably order one right now. Also, I LOVE the side options. I've never been a huge fan of chips to begin with also like, they're bad for you... but guess what... you can get cucumber chips as a side! Still crunchy, but much better for you! Next up the cookies. Man. So good. I personally prefer a softer cookie which is what they have perfected. They have plenty of chocolate chips and... I really should order a half dozen next time, but maybe I shouldn't because I'll eat them all Okay since those are the only things I've eaten there so far I can't comment on any other foods... but I can comment on their COVID changes. They do a really good job with the contact less pickup and the website is super easy and fast to use. Honestly one of the easiest contact less pickup experiences I've had. Anyways. Go here. I love this place so much! Me and my boyfriend love their baked goods ( which are all vegan by the way)! Literally everything is so delicious! The customer service is amazing as well! Everyone is so nice and helpful. Right now, they are only doing take out but that just shows me how much they care about our community and are still doing everything they can to serve us and bring us quality service and delicious food. You may have to wait a couple minutes when you pick up, but please be patient. I waited maybe 10 mins and my food still came out very warm and my iced coffee was NOT watered down at all. the place has both outdoor and indoor seating which is always nice! the staff were nice and friendly! I tried their iced latte with vanilla and soy milk (recommend if you like coffee on the sweeter side) i got the savory toast and it was delicious! definitely on the lighter side of the meals! if you want a heartier meal that'll make you full go for the sandwiches with fries. i also tried their churro donut and that's a must to try, it's crispy on the outside and soft and yummy dough inside! in my opinion, everything seems reasonably priced! will be coming back for sure! read more

Driving through El Paso and needed a place to have lunch. What an amazing lunch!! Everything we tried was so delicious!! We could taste all the love put into their food! My wife and I had the yogurt granola parfait and the turkey sandwich with homemade chips, a coffee and an iced Irish coffee. We also got two sugared donuts and the banana coffee cake to go. My heart has been captured by Savage! Everything they make is the pure essence of what I want in homemade baked goods. It's soft when it should be soft, crisp when it calls for it, sugary sweet when need be, has a warmth in taste that is unmatched by any other baker in EP, and takes me back to my sweet childhood with every bite. My favorite is the sugar cookies. Perfectly chewy and it doesn't hurt that they're gluten free. I have nothing against gluten, but I love knowing that I can buy these perfectly wrapped cookies and give them as gifts to my friends with gluten allergies. I've sampled quite a few of their other cookies and breads and it's all divine perfection. Right now they only seem to be set up at the Farmers Market so I do have to wait til the weekend to get my hands on these heaven sent goodies (and I never seem to buy enough because they never make it home), but the wait is well worth it. Had seen this place on several reviews so thought I would give it a try when I was close one day. To start, and what really hurts this place is the parking. I had to park two blocks away a walk, no big deal in NYC, but not something I expect in El Paso, especially outside of downtown. There are a total of seven non-handicap parking spots at this restaurant. However, that is the only negative about this place. Had a sandwich and it was delicious. Another good sign is when you go into the place and it is packed at three in the afternoon. Finally, save room for desert. Had two cookies and both were very good. I preferred the snickerdoodle, but the double chocolate was great too. On last thing on pricing, Savage Goods is right in the sweet spot. You get what you pay for but you can afford to eat here. Much of their fare is only pennies more expensive than a fast food joint and the food is worth ten times as much. If you have not been here go and check it out, I am headed back for the ploughman's lunch. read more

Very cute cozy restaurant and coffee house. The pastries are excellent and they have vegan and gluten free options. Their food menu also has interesting ingredients and flavors. We came here for dessert on our streetcar hopping expedition so I got a mineral water, hot tea, a snickerdoodle cookie, and a chocolate chip cookie. Mmmmmmm! We have enjoyed Savage goods treats at the Downtown Farmer's market so we were really excited to try their new restaurant. My husband and I popped in for breakfast- - I ordered the soyrizo (w no cheese) and he ordered the ham & cheese. Both hit the spot: good size, lots of filling and tortillas were very tasty! And you can't go to savage goods with out getting a sweet treat. I'm lactose intolerant, so to find a place that offers vegan desserts is rare, and then for them to be so freaking delicious, DOUBLE RARE! Finally made it out to their new location! I have to say it is a lovely venue and a very accesible location too. We stopped only for dessert and coffee and it didn't disappoint. The same amazing goodies we were treated to at the Farmer's Market. Only now they come along with coffee, sandwiches, and what not. We still have to try those, but I am sure they rock. They had GF options!! The gf bread was unique and different. It was good. I got if with eggs and a side of jam. The environment of this place is super chill, decoration is beautiful and hipster, and I love the fact that you can see the hands-on action in the kitchen the moment you walk in as it it an open kitchen. I was actually quite surprised to find vegan options in El Paso. I was driving through town and decided to grab lunch here. I got the vegan chicken sandwich, which essentially substituted the chicken for tempeh. It was well seasoned and the bread had a slightly sweet taste and had a great crunch from being toasted. The only odd thing was that the bread fell apart really easy, so I'm not sure if it's gluten free. I'm so happy they are vegan friendly and even have vegan pastries! I met a couple of friends there a couple of weeks ago for brunch. I ordered the Rise and Shine breakfast with fruit instead of bacon. The scrambled eggs were dry. Almost rubbery. The toast was perfect. The fruit was cut up in small pieces and served in a large cup. I emptied the cup on my plate to see the fruit better. The strawberries were spoiled and mushy. The apple pieces had brown spots and 25% of the blueberries were squishy. The scone and hot Chai tea were delicious. I was not too happy because you include the tip when you pay in advance for your food order at the counter. You expect that the restaurant will, in good faith, provide properly cooked and fresh food.
