I intended to go to Sweathouz through ski season and cancel once I was not skiing as frequently, so at the end of March, I called and asked to cancel, as the app does not give you the ability to initiate the process (the app is pretty terrible across the board). I was texted a cancellation form that I completed and submitted. The next day, I received notice via email that my cancellation "request" had been submitted, and that the manager of my location would need to approve it. I had no idea that I had to *ask* to cancel my membership. 5 days later, after hearing nothing, I called and asked for an update. I was told that no manager was in, but that he worked from home and the woman I spoke to would ask him to look into the issue. I heard nothing, so tried calling back later on and had to leave a message, which was never returned. I had an appointment scheduled for the next day, so was thankfully able to talk to a manager about it, who saw no record on my account of the cancellation request (the cancellation confirmation email had my location's email cc'd). Sweathouz has a 30-day cancellation notice period (something I find ridiculous and scummy), and I couldn't help but feel like they were stalling to confirm my cancellation so that they could get another membership fee from me. The manager confirmed that my membership would be cancelled, and that I would be charged another month, but I never received confirmation in writing that this was the case. This was after I ran into issues just trying to get a PDF of my membership invoice; there seems to be a grave lack of understanding of how to complete basic admin processes here. Sweathouz advertises that you can use an HSA or FSA to pay for your membership, but then they 1) don't allow you to access your invoices in the app, and 2) seem to make it difficult for even the employees to simply email an invoice. I spoke to 3 different people before finally getting my invoice emailed to me.

It's noon on a Thursday so I got the whole place to myself. The only things I would say needs improvement is none of the lockers had functioning or working keys/locks so I couldn't safely secure my personal items and I had some anxiety about leaving my items in the women's room unsecured. Another issue was the shower faucet took a few minutes to warm up and I wasn't warned about it so I fiddled with it so much at first that I just ended up taking a cold shower. It just would have been a good idea if they just told me how to turn on the faucet and to wait a few minutes for the warm water to kick in, when they gave me the tour. And the button for the body wash kept popping off. So just some minor things need updating. The steam room was fantastic tho! I love the mix of eucalyptus. It really helped my stuffy sinuses. The hot tub is amazing! I love how the seats kinda cradle your butt. I usually have a hard time in hot tubs cuz they push me off the seat. But not with this design! It's wonderfully made and I love the stars and candles. I didn't think it'd use the "cool plunge " but once I realized it wasn't cold it was much needed after over heating myself from the steam room and hot tub. I didn't think I would enjoy the UV room but I actually did! It was very relaxing. The hot tea and snacks are also a bonus. Just a very well done business idea and something I've been looking for. I think the price is more than reasonable for what you're getting. I'll be back! I did mention a couple of my concerns with the staff and it sounds like they do plan on getting new locks in the future so I really hope they live up to that because they have you sign a wavier that basically says they are not liable for stolen items. Stopped by the Pool & Spa House to see how bad the damage could be and what I would need to do to fix it. Can I just say that Don was the greatest. He totally eased my fears and told me that hot tubs frequently get pin hole leaks in some of the joints and fittings. He even took me over to some of their systems on display to demonstrate where and what to look for in determining the type of leak. The best part was his recommendation of a product called "Fix a Leak" and how to apply it to my system. With one bottle and little expert instruction from Don, I fixed my hot tub in no time and it barely cost me any blood, sweat and tears as I had feared it might. Thanks Don!

That's why I'm obsessed with this new find in the Southwest community! This neighborhood community center has cool activities like two indoor pools. One is designated for laps- 9 feet deep and the other includes a wading pool with slide, up to 4 ft and 6 inches at the deepest. I also love that there is a shower and lockers open for use so you can clean up before heading to the pool. The kids seem to absolutely love it - there are tons of other families with little ones. Open pool time is ~ 2-4pm, go early so you can get in. There's a capacity limit, our visit happened to be 75. If want to make it, BE THERE EARLY. Can not stress this enough. It is not the staff's fault if you can not get in. There are standards for a reason. You do not want to be cooped up in a space where it can not accommodate for more than what's expected. You also want to keep in mind that there are lifeguards to look out for everyone's safety and well being, so please be mindful of that as well! There are also other parts of the center to enjoy, such as an indoor basketball gym, rollerskating sessions, aqua aerobics, gym, and even dancing. It's the perfect blend of family-friendly fun and adult-approved relaxation. If you're looking for a place with a strong sense of community, stunning scenery, and a pool that's basically its own mini-vacation destination, then this is your spot! Totally recommend it! P.S.
