Second visit and somehow even better than I remembered…read more After moving to Bakersfield, I'd been craving Next Level Burger and finally decided it was time. Enter my MVP Uber Eats driver, who heroically delivered lunch all the way out to Happy Valley while I was visiting my niece and brand-newish great-niece. Whoever accepted that delivery deserves a medal...or at least a burger. In this fellow's case - a generous tip! One tiny mystery: the app seemed determined to make us order a side. We both ended up with the onion rings, which were crispy, and golden. My niece ordered the Chik'n Bacon Ranch burger and I went with the Steakhouse Burger on a pretzel bun. Naturally, we sampled each other's food because that's what family is for. The Chik'n Bacon Ranch was good, but that Steakhouse Burger? Wow. Deep, savory flavor, caramelized onions, horseradish aioli and a creamy blue cheese that honestly had me doing a double take. If nobody told me it was plant-based, I would've never guessed. Last visit I fell hard for the American Chzburger. This time the Steakhouse Burger stole my heart. Needless to say, my plans for a dessert mysteriously disappeared after finishing that burger and a pile of onion rings. No regrets. Next time I'm back in Portland, the Ghost Pepper Popper Burger has my name written all over it. If you're vegan, vegan-curious, or just hungry, go. Your taste buds will thank you.

The price was very reasonable compared to other quotes, but that didn't play a part in my decision to have them do the work. His price was very competitive, and yet the quality of the work was top-notch. In fact, I came into the project with a pre-conceived plan, and Mike patiently helped me understand - through his expertise and simple explanation - why and how certain parts of my plan could be improved. In the end, he totally understood and executed the vision, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the final product. Furthermore, all of his team were fantastic: super nice and polite and funny guys, who did an impressive job of removing the existing railing and delicately minimizing any damage to the house and posts. Turns out they were drilling into a challenging slab of concrete, yet the craftsmanship was flawless. Not a single crack or misaligned joint! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Next Level Decks and will certainly hire them again myself.

I was pleasantly surprised with our visit to the Wilsonville IHOP this past Sunday, right around…read morenoon. We knew coming in that we chose a busy time to stop in, but it was obvious the restaurant was understaffed, as they had full sections of tables that were completely empty, despite the constant line-up in the waiting area. While this did make for a longer wait than normal for everything, it was definitely not the fault of the servers -- they were hustling the best they could. I opted for the "Split Decision", which seemed like one of the better values on the menu -- two pancakes, one piece of thick French toast, two eggs, two pieces of bacon, and two sausages. It was definitely a lot of food, but the best part is that it was also very tasty. I would definitely not hesitate to come back to this particular IHOP location.

Usually I would give this location 3. The pancakes and chicken fingers are good; the burgers are…read moreadequate, and the service is tolerable. However, my experience tonight was, in a single word, PATHETIC! I had a rough day with Doordash - lots of deliveries with no tips (either thanks to our glorious economy or people saving for beer, fireworks, or both). I ordered a Coke Zero (I swear I said Pepsi Zero), water, and a burger that came with onion rings and barbecue sauce - no tomato. The server said they had Pepsi products and I that Pepsi Zero was fine. Then he questioned if I wanted water and totally forgot what I ordered. ‍ The food was slow coming out - I think the server who I like was the cook. That gave me plenty of time to observe. There was a grand total of four tables. Every table was frustrated by the waiter. He was overwhelmed (he said it was his first night working solo). He didn't have the "deer in the headlights" look, his eyes were more glazed over than a Krispy Kreme don't! My burger was adequate - I doubt if there was a teaspoon of barbecue sauce on it. Because of my lousy day, I decided to order an ice cream sundae. He asked what flavor - which was weird. I said chocolate. After a long wait, he said that my milkshake would be coming right up. I told him that I ordered a sundae. Another table could barely contain their gasps and laughs. I finally get my bill. Instead of taking off the milkshake (which was more expensive) and replacing it with the sundae, he left it be and was offering to comp me anything on the menu. I refused - I wanted out of there. I told him that he needed to do a better job of listening to the customer orders. I probably will walk out of the restaurant if I go back and he is working. I am tolerant of servers - they don't have an easy job. But this guy probably won't last long there because he is that bad.

We could talk and discuss things vs most Dr's just tell you what they want to tell you and off to the next patient. I really feel I found a Dr that will work with me, have an open mind and help me reach that next level of controlling my health and being proactive about it. Her office team Paige and Colleen are fantastic and complement the office very well with great attitudes, not rushing you and make you also feel warm and invited. I am just starting my journey with them, and my gut tells me that this is the right path! If you are looking for something nonmainstream then this is a great place to start and check out.
