A couple of minutes later we were seated in a comfortable booth. The restaurant is a sports bar and bar that is a "dive" in the best sense of the word. The air conditioning was running and was refreshing for a summer night. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered sweet tea and it was awesome. Refills were served in a pitcher which is old school and I loved it! We ordered SW egg rolls, potato skins, in bone naked chicken wings and potato soup. The soup was very good. The egg rolls were some of the best we've had- the ingredients were fresh and the wrapping made the egg roll delicious. The potato skins were really well done and scrumptious. My son loved the wings. It was pretty good. Kind of an odd texture and not something we would get again, but were glad we tried it. We then decided to split the Carolina Burger and the Steak Quesadilla. The burger was good, messy but good! The tater tots were good as well. The meat inside the quesadilla seemed more like smashburger type hamburger meat rather than actual steak, but again pretty good. Not a whole lot going on with it, wish it had peppers/onions in it as well or as an option to add for more flavor. We would probably not get anything we ordered again but will definitely go back to try another recommendation from Kelley, or even just for an appetizer and a few drinks if she is tending bar.

It's a sports bar atmosphere with several televisions and ample seating. The servers are always kind and attentive. Their burgers are delicious, which I normally get with hot chips on the side. Tonight I tried the steak tips with Mac &cheese and green beans. It was delicious, and I cleaned my plate! My daughter got the chicken nachos which were so tasty. The chips were actually made in house with flour tortillas! Can't beat the variety and flavor, along with the prices that are comparable to other places in the area. Give it a try!

We placed our orders to go, I ordered a chicken tender basket with an Oreo milkshake, my wife got a chicken sandwich meal. After ordering we took a seat to wait, and wait...and wait. After about 15 minutes, my milk shake was ready, another 10 minutes, my food finally came out...and then we had to wait another 10+ minutes for my wife's food to be ready...far from fast food, 2 basic orders took over 30 minutes to prepare....pretty shameful. It was very clear they seem to put a priority on delivery and online orders over in store ordering. And they also seemingly only have one person in the kitchen that can only prepare one meal at a time. It's clear they are short staffed, but there are no signs up or perceived attempts at hiring. When we finally got home, the food was good, and the portions were adequate, but the slow food prep and lack of customer service is a huge deterrent for me to return any time soon.

They have a drive thru and dine in with lots of booths surrounding the perimeter of the inside and some tables in the center. They also have a small outdoor seating area. It's not covered though so it will be a seasonal option. The inside has a large counter that looks like it could be a bar area but it was empty and looked unfinished. We ordered at the counter where a friendly cashier helped us decide on what sauces to choose. Since it was our first time here we wanted to try a variety of items. I ordered three sliders and my husband got a tender combo. Our food came out really quickly and it was super hot. The fries were seasoned well too. No one likes unseasoned fries. One of the first things we noticed was how small the tenders were. I would have expected a larger tender for the price honestly. The flavor was delicious and we loved the different sauces they had. The spicy peach sauce was one of my favorites as well as the honey mustard. The pretzel bites we got as a side were ok. I'd probably skip them next time though. Overall we had a great experience at Ray Rays. I'd go there again for sure. Next time I'll have to try one of their sandwiches or bowls I think.

They also have fresh lemonade and orangeade, and yes, it's actually fresh. The lemon flavor packed a punch but in the best way. I am SO excited to have this new addition to Mocksville and I already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Unfortunately when I arrived at 5:30 both were already sold out. I went with sliced brisket, collard greens and Gouda Mac & Cheese. Everything was excellent! Good smoke ring on the brisket, meat was very juicy and not dry. Only complaint would be that I prefer the stems removed from my collards, not a deal breaker, just my preference. All of the BBQ sauces were excellent as well. The atmosphere was awesome, loved the old vintage hometown feel. Can't wait for my next visit, I will arrive earlier to try and get the daily specials!

The interior of the place smelled terrible, kind of like vape smoke, and I'm not sure its seeping in from the vape shop next door, or if they're just smoking in the restaurant when there are no customers. I ended up ordering a (6) piece boneless combo with fries. I got half Hickory Smoked BBQ and half Hawaiian wings. both were very tasty, and the seasoned fries were also good. I did appreciate that they put some wax paper between both flavors, so they'd didn't contaminate the flavor. Again the food was good, but my experience at the restaurant was not. The staff was rude and aggressive, and the smell certainly will make you question the cleanliness of the restaurant. I'll get my wings elsewhere.
