Whoa..... This food was AMAZING!!!!! I had no idea that this place was going to be so good. These calzones look super simple but are packed with immense amounts of flavors. I had "The Duke" and it was phenomenal. Service was cool. They didn't have to do much but what they did was the most. They were awesome and super friendly. Ambiance is chill. Very relaxed place that doesn't make you feel rushed. 10/10 recommend.

I had never had a calzone until a couple of months ago. The staff here are rockstars. My go to is the Bulls Eye. The thinly sliced beef works so well with the cheese onions and veg. You can taste the seasoning in the beef and I just love the goodness of the cheese with the carmelized onions.

Great customer service. Cashier very helpful in picking my own calzone. Main meat pepperoni and Italian sausage. All my favorite veggies. It came to be pricey but it was worth every bite. Hubby got a which came first calzone . Main meat roasted chicken and bacon. Menu listed below . Wait time 10-15 minutes. Well lit building. Very spacious. Outside seating available. Surrounded in a lot with plenty of eateries and shops . Parking is plentiful but congested. Meal was nice proportion. Quality 10/10 . This is definitely a two meal deal.

Grabbed a quick dinner at Sauce on the Side on a weeknight. You order at the counter, and seat yourself. Pretty sure the food is made to order, because it took about 20 minutes, and the calzone came out burning hot. I got the Bull's Eye calzone, which was basically a cheese steak in calzone form. It came with a side of French Onion dip, which I did not like much. Not bad, I would try some of their other stuff.

This place is amazing. The food was great, staff was friendly, and great atmosphere. I will definitely be going back soon!

The food is amazing, the service was super fast, and the ambience is lowkey and chill. They have a nice sit down area outside too. Now the food- IS AMAZING! I cant stress that enough! This building used to be a pie-ology, i used to come here every week to get two Margherita pizzas. Took me FOREVER ! To come to sauce on the side. When I finally had a calzone this year- it was so so SO good! I dream about sauce on the side now. I love pesto and got the roasty toasty. 1. I didnt think the portions were going to be this big. One calzone is def enough for a person. 2. The hot honey sauce on the side is so damn good. 3. The sauce on the side is ENORMOUS. 4. I didnt list the amazing desert calzone I had- I had a smores calzone it was soooo good! Trust me and go try it for yourself! You will NOT be disappointed.

Fourth of July lunch at SOTS with my parents. I grabbed the Figgy Piggy, one of my favorites. Peep those figs! It was fresh and flavorful and hit the spot. My parents both went with the Meet Me In STL version; it was their first visit to SOTS, and they gave it two thumbs up. Service was quick, and the staff were all friendly. Patriotic music was playing over the speakers, and baseball was on the TV...cannot get more American than that.

We travel back twice a year and love to try new to us places - glad we stopped in! First of all, the menu all sounds delicious. I settled on the magic carpet calzone and an italian salad (a large, and they aren't kidding when they say LARGE). Portions are huge! The salad was phenomenal with the rosemary dressing, with lots of chicken on top. The calzone was perfect, full of flavor and garlic. Service was very friendly, and fast. The inside has ample seating with a warehouse/garage feel to it. There is patio seating for when it's warm outside!

We have been to multiple locations and each has been great. Service is unexpectedly quick so there were even folks doing lunch breaks while we were there. The staff is friendly, order at the counter and grab a seat. I had the Roasty Toasty which had chicken and pesto, my husband had the Which Came First, we shared the Buffalo Chicken Bites. They also carry Brick River Cider, which is local to Saint Louis. I also really like the Cock-a-Doodle Noodle, which was featured on the Travel Channel.

My dad and I had a wonderful experience recently at Sauce on the Side. I've long been a fan of SOTS, but had never been to this location. The staff was friendly and helped my dad (who was a newbie) create a calzone based on his taste preferences. It was perfect patio weather, so we took advantage of dining outside. Staff came out and bussed our plates and offered to-go boxes which I wasn't expecting for a fast-casual place, but was thankful they did! I always love introducing family and friends from out of town to local faves like Sauce on the Side and they killed it as usual!

I haven't had a calzone since I was in middle school and I remember always looking forward to calzone day because they were absolutely my favorite so when I saw this restaurant made how zones and it was Local to my town I was so excited and eager to try it Boy, did they not disappoint. They exceeded my expectations. I'm not sure if it's the wood fire oven or the mouthwatering flavors within the calzone itself. This is definitely a place to come when you're hiding out from your children for great eats an even better drinks! Eat your feels The service is superb and they always great you soon as you walk in and get your order and promptly within typically about two minutes or less. I like that they bring the order to your table when it is ready if you do not have to get up and can enjoy yourself. The ambience is more like a casual grill. Sometimes it can be loud and they do play music but it's not obnoxiously loud where you have to raise your voice to talk to another.

Very casual and friendly. The food was good! The on-tap beer selection is small but something for most people.

It was our first time in - we bellied up to the bar, where there were drink menus and a food menus for the browsing. We were advised to order at "the window" for food (clever) & did so. (Reviewed separately) The barkeep walked us through some of his favorites. I opted for the orange cream (sour spin) & found it to be absolutely delicious. The beer was nicely balanced, not too sweet or sour & no strange tastes. The hubby was very happy with his as well. We'll certainly stop in next time we're in town to try a few more & maybe grab some cooler beer!

We walk in the door with 3-humans and 1- service animal (with identification on). * Manager on duty: "If you have a dog you need to sit in the room." *points to private dining space where no other patron is sitting, the room has the lights off, all the chairs are on the tables, and the heat is off* * Me: "Pardon? This is a service dog, and we'd like to sit with everyone else." * Manager on duty: "If you have a dog, you need to sit in this room, because we have a kitchen area in the main dining area." * Me: "Okay, but this is trained service animal and we would like to sit in the same space as everyone else." * Manager on duty: "These are the food and beverage regulations." ... he is now saying something even more asinine than before, clearly not understanding that the ADA exists for inclusion purposes. We did not want to argue with this man any further, as his attitude and lack of knowledge was already frustrating enough. The Manager on duty turned on the lights in the room, and then had the audacity to leave the room, while my boyfriend was left taking chairs off the table so we would have a place to sit. We stayed for about 45-minutes, ordered food and had a beer. Prior to us leaving my boyfriend's mom (who frequents this place and even helped them stay open during COVID with purchases and donations) went to have a conversation with the Manager to help clear things up and educate him a bit... he responded to her with, "There are no exceptions, a dog is a dog." To the owners of Third Wheel Brewing: I am truly saddened and disappointed in the lack of empathy, education, and understanding of individuals who need accommodations, and use service animals. I would HIGHLY recommend you provide additional education and training to your staff about ADA regulations, and the treatment of patrons in relation to such. While at times, certain accommodations are acceptable, this one was isolating and intentionally exclusionary. Please do better.
