The restaurant was quiet when we came in. We were served by a friendly young man. My husband and I split the best seller, Meat me in St. Louis. My husband liked his calzone. I would call mine average. The dipping sauce was too spicy hot for my taste, my spouse denied that it was spicy. I plan to go back to this place and have a custom calzone with anchovies and olives. It was Saturday around 6:16 PM during the dinner rush, so they were understandably busy. I chose curbside pickup because of a knee injury--otherwise, I would have ordered delivery from somewhere else. When I arrived, one curbside spot was occupied with another customer, and the other was taken by the EMPTY sauce on the side company car. If you're familiar with this location, you know the lot gets packed every weekend, especially at dinner time. Ordered: - Fatty B (4/5): Tasty calzone with pepperoni and meatballs. A bit much ricotta for my personal preference - I may adjust next time. - Bullseye (4.25/5): Excellent flavor combos. Calzone? Calz-many! I've been excited for this restaurant ever since it was announced it was opening a new location in twin oaks. The place has a great rewards program that you're going to want to sign up for because you will be back again and again. They offer a calzone of the month, that keeps the menu fresh, but I keep finding my way back to the Pancho Villa if I'm in the mood for some great, or the Meat Me in St. Louie if I'm looking for something traditional. They also offer a Mac and cheese calzone for the kids (or adults - no shame) or a build-your-own-pie where you can just get cheese or pepperoni. The workers are quick and nice, and there is a good variety of local beers on draft, as well. Have no fear when coming here, it is always clean and the music is not overpowering and the food is reliably delicious: the Calzones will not betray you. read more

We came here for their outside patio with friends last week. Their menu only includes calzones and salads. Would've loved to have a soup to go with the calzone! The calzones are HUGE and big enough for 1 and a half adults. We over-ordered and took the leftovers home. We tried the Carmen, Costanzo, and Don Corlazone (a seasonal menu item). There's about 3 outdoor long tables with plenty of chairs out on their patio which is nice for COVID-era social distancing. The Carmen had prosciutto,spinach, parm, fontina, ricotta, with garlic butter sauce on the side. The Costanza was my favorite; the eggplant added an interesting flavor and texture. Costanza also has roasted garlic, mozzarella, basil, ricotta, brushed with garlic honey oil on top. The honey oil was a little too sweet for me. I liked the red marinara sauce that came with the Costanza, but the sauces that accompanied the other 2 calzones didn't add much and I didn't end up using them. read more

We are always happy with our food choices. Love the variety of calzones and accompanying sauces. Large enough to share, but leftovers are good - especially in the air fryer. Casual eat in environment. Food comes pretty quickly. We just had a great takeout experience also. Food was ready quickly and held up well till we got home to eat. read more

OK.. Confession. I have been back there 3 times since I have started this review (saving drafts) so I obviously must like this place. I do. The calzones have all been good and tasty - been able to make 2 meals out of them. And they have a good selection of beer both can and draft. My other half even found a wine she likes. I have had the Meat Me in St Louis (needed the pepperoines scattered a it more); Which Came First (sans Jalapenos); and a Costanza. Each time the calzones were better. I think the cooks are getting the timing and ingredient temps down now that they have been open a few weeks. The staff is always friendly, the tables are bussed quickly, and there is never really a long wait from ordering to getting the food. I am more than sure I will be back again as there are still more Calzones for me to try. I am very glad they are in my neighborhood! read more

This is fast becoming our go-to takeout, with rising prices elsewhere (looking at you 5 guys). We got the fatty B and cockadoodle noodle. The buffalo butter sauce was delicious with a perfect balance of tang vs richness. We also tried the chipotle ranch, was also on point. The cockadoodle noodle is a nice idea but to me, lacked flavor, that's not a problem though with the fatty B or the Pancho villa (which we got last time). Delicious calzones!! Came upon this restaurant by chance and it is so good. I got the Roasty Toasty calzone. Funnily enough, I didn't end up using the sauce because the calzone was perfectly cooked on its own. The sauce was good though. We ordered a salad and a calzone. The salad was good considering it was made with iceberg lettuce. It was fresh with good ingredients and a nice dressing. The calzone looked fabulous in the box. It was rather meh. There was nothing flavorful about it. The dough was fair. The ingredients were fair. There was a sauce on the side which I think was supposed to be garlic butter? If you haven't had Sauce on the Side, you don't know what you are missing. We love it and we are soooo happy that we have one within a mile and a half of our home. It is delicious. After I was finally able to place my order for curbside delivery, I got to the restaurant at the pickup time indicated on the receipt. I texted my information to the Curbside number on the sign. After waiting 10 minutes, I called the restaurant and was told that the order was ready and someone would bring it out momentarily. After waiting another 10 minutes, I came inside and had to wait another 7 minutes. Got my order with a blank stare from the waitress with "sorry". Recommendation to the restaurant: do NOT advertise a service if you are not prepared to provide it and train your wait staff. read more

We came to SotS on a Saturday night so we were expecting it to be busier. When we walked in we were immediately served, their menu is large and we wanted everything on it so it took us a long time to decide. The girl who was taking our order was patient and kind, helping my entire family with their orders. When we ordered, we took a seat and noticed the decor was fun and the place seemed clean, they had the cardinals game on and it was a nice mix of quiet families and dates. When they brought out the food the man who brought it was also extremely kind to us, and helped us with extras. We got the Meat Me In St. Louis, Roasty Toasty and the strawberry salad. The portions are huge and we didn't finish most of it. If there was anything I could change it would be the pesto sauce, it was a little too "green" tasting and I would like more depth and demension. The jalapeño bites were okay but I won't get them again, too much bread crumby (I know that's not a word).
